This games going to make a ton on location. Being able to save your progress is a game changer. I know I’ll be wearing this one out at my local spot.
I'll be making jeopardy and High School Musical pinballs this year
The physical multiball locks are cool! The custom animations are very good and the software completely eliminated my concerns about the game.
It’s a fast excellent game.
Still to see the Pro but the Premium is the way to go.
Got to watch a little of the stream, looks intriguing. Like how they are adding in aspects of the video game world. I am liking the idea of the saved progression aspect (even though it's only through Insider connect). The complexity of these games anymore are not designed for us average players.

I just spent 4 hours this morning playing Venom here is San Diego at Comic Con. I played the pro 1st for about 40 minutes it was fun it was fast. I began to understand the carnage multiball and the mayhem multiball. The playfield is way less confusing in person.i thought the playfied was going to be short, but it is a spacious playfield. Price point is high obvious. I i think the Pro is ok, but it feels like if your already going to the $7,000 price point, you might as well go the remaining $3,000 To gather the full experience. I met many people from near by Arizona, and from other cities in CA that were 3+ hours away to play on freeway. I may have to skip due to price point, BUT...I don't know know. If I do it will be premium 100%
He only time the ball went into the pops area was if the player choose the top lane skill shot. Would be nice if that area was used more especially during multiball.
Game looks pretty cool. While I am not a fan of the 3 tier system for the games, I do applaud Stern for announcing a game and having it out a month later. Hope it does well for them.
Can't wait to play it and experience the speed for myself..looks like a game that fights you back which is always fun.. and frustrating at times which always brings me back!
Always a pleasure to hear your impressions. It’s definitely fast!! Talk about needing your fast twitch muscles. Not a theme I am interested in but looking forward to dropping a few bills in.

I wasn't really impressed with the everything boxed at one end "shooting gallery". My preference is a pinball layout with lots of curves and creative use of the space. This feels too rectangular for me. If it works for you, enjoy!
Sorrry it’s just not worth $7k for a pro, $9700 for a premium, let alone $13k for an LE.
The live stream really turned my thoughts around on it. It looked fun.
They said the optimal pitch is 7 degrees! You can probably slow it down a little, but not much.
I thought the fan layout might be forgivint. but seems like in the stream some difficulty getting up the ramps. might be saving more returns or center drains. need to play to see where in lands for casual.
The gameplay stream was much better than the teaser video. I’m not a fan of constant stop and go so I enjoy the fast.
The fast lock system sounds very much like something from Star Trek The Next Generation.
Stern Venom is a 2023 incarnation of Bally Spectrum....and that is both a good and bad thing!!
i actually played a spectrum for the first time last tuesday at my board repairers house, it was hard to get used to the ball spitting out to the flipper immediately. first time seeing the machine in my 49 years of pinball lol
I'm not a big fan of the theme. But the game looks fantastic. Good vid Cary.
Animations are really well done. Looking back at Stern's very first animations and now this... no comparision.
I just put money down on the LE and look forward to it! My grandson and l love venom so the theme hooked us
The ball essentially teleports. It took me a while to figure out wtf was happening. Cool idea but wow is it fast.

venom is very fast
I love the comments all over pinside about it shoots fast yet nobody knows how steep is was setup. I think Stern did it on purpose so people wouldn't say it's slow and floaty.
They could have set it higher, but that isn't the reason it's fast. The reason it's fast is because the ball shoots from the fast lock system. You have quick ball return - even when hitting a scoop.
Love the flow and crazy fast gameplay
Coming from someone who always cancels the animations on a game to get the ball quicker

f a s t ..yeah, if It’s TMNT premium hard or more, I’ll feel even better holding out. I’d love to play it like you said. Theme surprisingly feels good and would look good with my xmen, Spiderman, dp , etc. thanks so much for keeping the pinball pulse alive bud.

The quick answer to whether champ or chomp is correct is that both are acceptable for modern use - meaning you can use either! To champ or chomp at the bit is to be restless or unable to show restraint.

@@moobutt yes, ignorance actually does make words and phrases become wide spread adopted and acceptable. Like the word fag, it has British origins but now definitions can be found for “gay person” on all official documentation… We chomp on things here in the US

Nice and Fast Machine. IMO too much color for a Venom.
Too cartoony. Worked well for Deadpool but not Venom. Knull is a badass and looks corny on the playfield.
Love the artwork/theme but not a fan of the layout at all. Not trying to hate but found myself trying to find reasons to like it and fell a little short.
I’m just not a fan of how deep the games are now a days, I enjoyed simple games with straight forward rules, whitewater, fish tales, Acdc
At these price points especially when compared to what other companies offer for less, the juice just aint worth the squeeze any more.
Just watched them play the Pro.. it's friggin faster.
So burned out on all the superhero themes. Looks like it will be a cool playing machine though.
not a fan of the Venom theme, BUT i only see this appealing to the hardcore tournament players. this is NOT a game for casual / arcade players. this machine reminds me of Led Zepplin with everything up on the top 3rd of the playfield, i don't see any shots on the lower half of the playfield. Godzilla is awesome for a thousand more reasons than this machine has, godzilla had shots all over the playfield up and down that and the Godzilla theme is why it has massive appeal. This machine will NOT do well, it will do as well as led zepplin and they are giving those machines away.
This will do so much better than LZ. Stern blew their wad on paying the band and cutting costs on BOM. They mailed in the art for LZ vs. having Yeti. The theme of Venom speaks to a broader audience than LZ too. So, I will disagree.

hardcore fans will leave this alone, just like LZ and TMNT!
So because the game plays "fast" now everyone is excited for it?
I think people are excited because at least now they have an idea of how it plays vs. what we saw in the trailer videos. We have plenty of eye witnesses and players that will be on that game this weekend and can give us feedback.
Pinball people are weird. When a game is a piece of shit they defend it with "flow" and now it's "fast". You want flow and fast then have a playfield full of orbits and horseshoes. I'm sure if Stern did that, hard ons like Cary would be saying OMG so MUCH flow, so MUCH fast. No mechs=awesome because no break down. Fast forward 5 years from now Stern is just going to release a completly empty playfield with no flippers just a plunger and sell it for $35k and Carey is going to say GENIUS, so difficult with no flippers, it's all about that plunger, buy buy buy.
