Been fishing Sturgeon all my life. Started in the California Delta, these fish get big. I still remember the story of the Antioch Bridge. The Divers that went down to repair the Antioch Bridge Years ago Claim to have seen Sturgeon as big as a School bus. You may laugh but I bet there's some Real big ones that haven't been caught yet.
hey man how much does it cost for a guide for a day ? from the hat, and if anyone that sees this knows where the sturg in the south sask come from be very apreaciated if you let me know, goal is a 80+ out of the sask
@15 feet.... in a dpwnriver mix sludge of toxic waste pumped by the local pulp mill... from a dock... at 5-10feet.... caught a dragon/./// With.... And I quote, a purple jig.... simple as day..."
I know a skinny lil white wonder../. pure as day... abandoned by her own little simple culture... down at a dock, driven by the love of fishing... Here is good olk' Thun derbay... I've fishered there for countless hours...... I work with "cute lil" sturgeon... she actually brought one in.... scales and back-dragon markings.... to say the least.... she cauight a fucking fish dragon.... the size of her.... shit... I wish i8 had those drsgon bones.....\ \ like a \\predator would...
i know there's big sport in fishing... but i think we should stop sport fishing for sturgeon. they are now an endangered species and we have no idea how delicate they are. being hooked and then captured, even temporarily, is just stressful on the fish. just leave these fish alone.
I have so much respect and love for you all for letting that beautiful fish go! Take care! Thank you!
I think it's great that you released him back in. True sportsmanship !
right on great to see this species is making a comeback Kudos to the fishery and proper management practices
Great job guys, catch and release is always a good thing when it comes to a large fish, it makes better breeding stock
Congrats on the big catch!!
wow! and so great to see it will swim another day! great for you all..
THAT IS AWESOME!!!It is good that you let it go.
I could be wrong, but in B.C. I think it's illegal to capture and kill them, you have to let them go back.
This is a Pacific sturgeon. It is the Atlantic variety that are now endangered. In some area they can not be fished for at all.
.
Great stuff, I'm going there in the future!

+GP80400 you should plan a trip north one day, I guarantee you there are monsters not even caught or tagged yet lurking down here in BC
For sure, these things like over 100 years, even longer if left alone.
Cheers
The only thing better than catching a fish like this is releasing it back into the wild and knowing its going to grow bigger!
Fish was foul hooked and draged tail first onto the sand bar,and it wasnt caught in Chilliwack, thats Mission Monestary in the background
How come they can't keep it?
Ive been dino hunting... ill never get one that size. But im looking for a 100lber
There is zero chance this fish is anywhere near 11 feet or 1000 lbs. lol
This Fish was Caught East of Vancouver Canada on the Fraser River .,

The best part was watching this fish swim back to his home.
Thumbs up for setting it free.
I'm surprised that monster wasn't already tagged. He could be 100 years old.
Go Kamloops!!
it is illegal to keep them where I live.
Nice fish! Wasn't 1000 pounds though
The fish was just like, "Humans, stahp."
Music symbols in your comment. Two thumbs up.
Watch the entire video, they caught tagged and released the fish.
The river queen.

They tagged it, so they should be able to find out soon enough. I hope not.
