Thanks for the video. Replaced my daughters regulator today. Not mentioned in the video, but on the webpage. Her car was made in Mexico so the connector didn't match. The motor from the original and the regulator I got on(ebay) sorry didn't match mounting holes. So I snipped each connector off each and used bullet connectors. Worked great.
I used a replacement aftermarket regulator from Aisin, pn# RPN-033 for the rear left window, $20. Worked perfectly for my 2003 Sentra, holes matched up to the original motor without issue.
My 2004 Sentra window regulator had different shape connector compared to the new regulator. I had to cut the wires and mend them together to get the switch to work! Just be aware of that. It's not difficult to do that additional step. Otherwise, Great video and explanation on the process of removing and installing the replacement part.
That's only a problem if buying a replacement motor AND regulator. If buying a quality replacement regulator ONLY, the holes should match up with your motor mounting screws, allowing you to reuse the original motor and electrical connector.
I followed this video step by step and it is PERFECT! Plastic slide broke, I ordered a new regulator and am waiting for it to come in. Thanks for the Video! took me 10 minutes to get to the problem with your video :)
+ Lisa Lairmore Thanks for watching. We're glad to hear that our video has helped you out. If any of our viewers needs to make this repair, we carry the replacement window regulator on our website. Here's a link to them www.1aauto.com/1A/WindowRegulators/Nissan/Sentra/1AWRK00552?TH-cam&CTA%20Comment&ATony
Just ordered it. I gotta tell you the insulation removal is the worst part of this whole job! Also my window "felt" on the top of the door panel was so attached to the door that it sepatated from the panel but was easy to put back on. Thanks for the video.
Really helps a lot to do this job in the summer when it is hot. I find the sticky black mastic adhesive is a LOT easier to separate when the temperature is hot then in the winter.
It may be an issue with the motor. You may want to test the power going to the motor with a test light to see if there's power going to it. That will make it easier to narrow it down to either a power window motor issue or a switch issue. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Thank you for this most informative video. I purchased the regulator from your company and just received it. I will be installing this weekend. Thanks again.
(05 Sentra Rear Drivers) My rear driver side window won't go up or down with the switch but will drift down whenever it wants too. You have to "palm" the window and slide it back up. Sounds more like a motor problem? This video will definatley help with the disassembly process. Thanks.
Nope, sounds more like a regulator problem to me. I have found that if the regulator is fully intact but the motor has died, the window will not typically drop or drift down on its own.
12:30 Whoa that part tested my faith. Took a solid 10 minutes of re-adjusting and wrestling with that strip of leather like material before I had the pane aligned right.
Thanks, I just ordered a part. My window was sliding up and down by hand. The motor was fine, but the small black plastic piece in the regulator arm was broken.
The replacement part has a different connector (square instead of round). It looks like the same featured on your replacement. What suggestions do you have in regards to getting these to fit?
If you purchased the part from us, please contact our customer service number at 888-844-3393 and we'll look into your order to see if you had received the correct part.
mine just broke same exact door lol I ordered the part already but was wondering if it needs any grease or special dressing the guide (sliding square on the rail) ? I know the factory one has some tan looking stuff on it
+alby_truckin95 Typically they don't need to be greased, you should be good to go. Thanks for choosing 1AAuto! Drop us a review on Facebook at facebook.com/1aauto to let us know how the repair went! 1aauto.com?TH-cam&CTA%20Comment&ATony 866-403-3393
+umdraco unfortunately there isn't. That's a common failure with these regulators, and when it happens the whole thing needs to swapped out. But here's a link to our site where you order a new one, and we'll cover the cost of shipping it right to your door! hope you can help me here. my power window on the passenger side functions properly going down, but seems to have a hard time going up. you can hear it work on the initial attempt to raise it, but it stops. however, you can "assist" the window by pulling the glass up and near the top you can let go and it finished by itself. also, i noticed that the window seem to lean a bit toward a side when going up. any ideas?
You could try to put some white lithium grease on the window regulator channel that's inside the door. You could also spray some white lithium grease on the weatherstrip that surrounds the window opening, this will make the window glide easier. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
thanks. i guess i'll visit the hardware for that particular spray. im quite new into using cars, i've been driving a bike before. this video about removing the side panel has helped me a lot in an emergency when the window wouldn't roll up. thanks much.
That's pretty much how my left rear window acted before it finally started dropping down into the door cavity. It was the exact problem that is shown in this video. Pretty common among B15 Sentras 00-06.
It should have the same connector as the factory. If it's a part that you had purchased from us, call our customer service line, and we can look into the order for you to make sure that you received the right part. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
I was given some bad info. The motor DOES operate. The window acts as if it's physically disconnected from the regulator. Hopefully I'm taking it apart tomorrow. It is a made in Mexico Sentra. If I need to order from you, is this your correct part number? 1AWRG01118 Thanks Dave (DaCrowz)
There is a metal bar attached to the glass. The window regulator arm pivots and slides inside that bar like a sliding ball and socket. There is a tiny plastic piece that holds those 2 together. That plastic piece on mine broke in half. Can I just replace that little piece, or do I need to buy the whole regulator assembly? I don't need the motor. Whats the price and part # for what I need to order? That plastic piece is a very common issue with these cars. It should've been made with metal.
If you are experiencing the typical failure of the plastic slider in the regulator track, you do not need to replace the regulator. You can buy the broken piece from blenddoor.com in either aluminum or Delrin construction. That way you can reuse your OE regulator and motor. With that being said, it should be noted that for the price of the little broken piece from blenddoor, you can buy a complete new regulator aftermarket. You'll need to make the call which way suits you.

Thank so much, finally I buy the regulator, the small plastic piece was broken
That part number is for the window regulator with NO MOTOR and it fits the rear drivers side on a 2000-2006 Nissan Sentra.

Yes, that flexible paint scraper they used in the video really is key to getting that rear window strip seated properly.
Thanks, I just ordered a part. My window was sliding up and down by hand. The motor was fine, but the small black plastic piece in the regulator arm was broken.
Excellent!Keep a cable end crimp connector and soldering gun handy if you change the motor as the connector differ for 2005 model
Nice Video and very Instructive, what about I know if is the Issue is Regulator or motor. ??
Super helpful video! I will be buying the parts to fix the passenger side from you folks!

So would this cause all windows to not go up or down from any of the doors or the drivers panel?
would this regulator work on the driver's side window? is it the same process and replacement??
How long does this process (disassembly, repair & assembly) take?
Thank you for watching! Depending on the person doing it and there tool set anywhere from a half hour to a couple hours.

I added white lithium grease to the gear rack and the track slide.
what kind of adhesive is on the sound deadening (white panel piece) I wanna put mine back I'm
Hi Mike, the only thing thats wrong with mine is that little plastic slider. Is there a way to just replace that without the entire assembly?

My 2006 sentra was made in Mexico. Parts I have seen say they fit all except Mexican Sentras. How do I know which part will fit?
I just replaced the rear left side with Aisin pn#RPN-033. Perfect fit on my Mexican-built 2003 Sentra.
By buying it at 1A Auto does it come in a pare (the back doors) or just one?
Julian Arenibar The choice is entirely yours. You can purchase window regulators both in singular and in pairs on our website.
