5 Minute Push Ups Workout at Home

  • 5 minute push ups | follow along | chest & tricep workout
    Hello everyone!
    Pushups... my favourite!!! ❤️
    They are one of best exercises to improve on with practice and repetition.
    Simple follow along to work the chest, triceps, shoulders, core and lower body, no equipment needed and can be done anywhere in 5 minutes!
    Specific exercises as follows:
    Wide hand position
    Narrow hand position
    Diamond hand position
    Narrow hand hold
    Simply do each variation for 20 seconds, rest for 20 seconds, and repeat whole set again bringing you up to a total of 5 minutes!
    Please make sure spend time warming up, particularly your wrists.
    All of the workout can be done on the knees or hands on a stable chair to make workout less weight on arms.
    I hope you all enjoy this workout...pushups are definitely one of my favourite exercises!

    Total respect. Every press up perfect. Great strength she has. So many people never do press ups correctly and then say they did 100 press ups when they never did one correctly.

    I absolutely cannot express to you guys how much I respect this woman.the form, the strength, like literally she is amazing I cannot ever even dream of doing this whole thing without stopping. Like one of my life goals is to complete this video without breaks and without getting tired. You have my ultimate respect

      I said the same thing a year ago when I first saw this workout! When I started with Caroline I could barely do one standard pushup off the knees. Now I do this whole workout without a pause. Time + persistence = progress!!

      Caroline Girvan definitely... im currently recovering from a serious accident i had back in december i couldn’t walk until april of this year so me maintaining my strength was paramount... but yes you got a subscriber in me

      Same here! I'm not a beginner, or a pro. But man I forgot about my push up stamina! Whenever I exceed atleast 20 my arms get really heavy and my wrists can't support it, thus making my form very uneven. I gotta put more love with those arms! Hope your doing well, happy new year too!

    Wow…that was tough. I’m a gymnast and I’ve been doing gymnastics for almost four years now and I’m so much weaker than my teammates. I just tried that and it’s really hard. I’ve only done one round because everything after is too hard at this moment, but I’ll keep practicing and hopefully I’ll get it done no problem one day.

    Being above average male in terms of physical condition (more than 10 free pull ups per set) i have to say that this is a suprisingly effective exercise. Especially the final part with the diamond push ups and the follow up combination of the narrow hold. For anyone who will read the comment, try to emphasize on the form, and it hits really nicely the shoulders. Being doing it for about 2 weeks now and noticed significant increase in strenght of that particular muscle area. Very happy having found your channel, can clearly see why you have such good muscle definition on the upper body.

    An awesome tip for beginnings who are working up to doing push-ups on your feet or to fit in a few extra reps when your muscles are tired is to loop a fabric Resistance band around your upper arms. The higher resistance the band, the more support it gives you!

    Wide push-ups are fine. Normal narrow ones are fine. The tricep diamond ones can only do 6. The hold is very hard, can’t lift me halfway up without falling
    I can now do the whole thing in one go after around 2 months. thanks caroline!

    I’m 63 and can do 20 pushups worked out since I was 22 and have never stopped so I found this routine very doable 🙏 always enjoy working out with you 🥰

    I just want to say thank you so much, Caroline. You're videos have given me so much inspiration and courage. I've been doing alot of your dumbell workouts the past 2 weeks to help build up my arms and upper body strength after 2 years (and 4.5 stone) weightloss.
    I've suffered with frozen shoulder the past 6 months and I've found push ups (and some other exercises) a real struggle. I was recently looking for help with pushups in your playlists and this is really nice and short for starters- even though I'm only pushing off at arms length from my kitchen counter, I hope to have strength to work from the floor in a few weeks time.

    5 min pushup variation?! Did this workout multiple times as an add-on but I repeat it at least 3 times in a row. Those diamond pushups are the most challenging. The reward of each workout is mandated! Thanks Caroline!

    I practice capoeira, we do those push up holds for conditioning. Man they're hard💪 this and Pilates push ups, have been helping me a lot.

    I couldn't figure out why I hadn't attempted this one before, but today was a bit of a revelation😂 I did this as an add on to the IRON series D2 upper body workout and wow - it was worth it.
    I actually focused on slow negatives for the second round and kind of had to "roll up" to gte back to starting position. I hoping this will help me build up some strength. Tricep and diamond pusups are frustrating for me because I just can't quite get the depth I want.

    Women today are so impressive at everything. Fitness women just really blow me away. Such a beautiful human being. As a man who hits the gym 4-5 times a week at 53 years young, it's such an inspiration to see how many women are in there getting after it. 🙏💪👏

    This was a ripper! The rest was defiitely needed😂 I focused on the negatives with slow lowers one the tricep pushups and the first set of diamond pushups.

    I don't really have a lot of time to work out so I'm trying to do this about once or twice a week, and yes I know that's a lot but I'm not trying to get buff or anything I'm just trying to build arm strength, my usual exercises are walking stretching and trying to learn belly dancing so I'll see how that makes me feel in a few weeks

    She's so adorable! I love how she calls them press ups. It really depends on where you're from, but it is super cute when she says it. Not only is she adorable but she can rep out hundreds of press ups! I need to work on mine. I figured this is the place to start!

    I did this routine a few months ago, during my holidays. 5 minutes was all the free time my kids gave me at the time... 😏 Today I came back to it after a 20 minutes Core workout. What a great add-on! Guess I'm going to do this everyday, from now on! 😁💪

    It’s a great exercise! So glad i found it! Your body and strength are jaw dropping. Just wish SO MUCH that there were sounds (like timer sounds) on the video for last 5 seconds of each round!

    Great wee chest workout. Took a little piece of advice from one of your other workouts and added another two rotations one incline one decline. Amazing workout well PUMPED.

    i’m going to update with results.
    Backstory: I’ve worked out for a while and recently stopped due to mental health but i’m back again and i wanna try as much as possible to be consistent!!
    Day 1: I got to 6:13 going at my own speed and on my knees, i will get better and i will push harder next time but i think i busted a vein in my hand or something so i’m going to rest. I really felt this burn tho!!

    ✅9/19 - Faced my fear and attempted this push-up workout. I'm working my way up to your 10-min push-up challenge. Below is my quantity for each variation for future self. 🙂
    Wide - 8, 6
    Narrow - 6,6
    Diamond (wide) - 8,7
    Hold - first round: 3 x 5 sec hold; second round: 1 x 8 sec; 1 x 3 sec (ran out of time)
    Thanks for the push, Caroline! 💖 Without you, I would still be doing push-ups on my knees.

      How you could do 10 push up minutes ????? You can't , maybe a man could do that but un tour case i think really thats imposible , talk and write is easy but do the things is so hard than look's like !!!!!!!

    I challenged myself to do this once a day for a month. My arl strength is nothing to write home about and my push-ups cannot come an inch to the ground.
    It's been 12 days and I am already halfway down as opposed to an inch down.
    I feel how much more easily I can hold during that final exercise.
    Continuing to focus on quality, and as I get better, I go lower.

    This was amazing. I love that is a woman that does this 💪 If I could add one comment, I think it would nice to have a 5 sec count down when each exercise is about to finish! It was hard do do the workout and keep checking the screen

    Nice to put a few short, older ones together after a tough kettlebell week and a nice 5 minutes on this at the end. Not too overwhelming and my diamond's are getting closer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

      Hi Nicola...just done this as today’s add on! My push ups are getting better! Like you my diamonds are improving! I loved this little push up blast at the end of circuits! Matthew

    I mean, just look at those back muscles! It's like they're photoshopped! Amazing strength, truly impressive. And form is level 9000.
