do you lose any functionality of your HUD if you install the 6wb cluster on an F33 (I.e. Radio scrolling, phone, navigation, etc.).
Hello there! In theory, you don't. But it strongly depends on the individual specs of the each car. So you will need to write to info@bimmer-tech.net with your VIN and our representative will be able to tell you for sure.
Can you set it so the navigation comes up on the heads up display with this instead of the cluster?

Does the scrollable song list work when playback is coming from CarPlay? (As it does on a G20 cluster)

No, definitely not - it only works in MGU iDrives (So just as you said G20s).
Hi, if I decide to buy 2nd hand F10 and I want the stock digital cluster what would I need to look for as a spec when checking the VIN number? Thanks so much in advance!
Hello, when buying a 2nd hand BMW you cannot check based on the VIN or appearance if the digital cluster is stock. It may turn out that there is an OEM cluster, but from a different vehicle (which btw. may be very problematic). To verify that you will need someone like a BMW dealer or us to verify that through a specific diagnostic session, which also can be performed remotely by us.

Yes, after installing the cluster and the MMI you should retain full functionality of the BMW Connected Drive.

The red mode is for Sport/Sport+ and yes, you can set it to use the default comfort (white dials) for all modes if you wish.

Hey there! It is plug & play, and it does require coding. It is done via a remote coding session with a dedicated technician.

In NBT and NBT EVO vehicles with HUD, the navigation directions will be displayed on the digital instrument cluster instead of the HUD.

But I would like to add that not all cars have HUDs (but they can have 6WB clusters) + if they do have it, not all cars with HUDs have Night Vision which makes the HUD useless while driving in the evening/at night (this is where the 6WB digital cluster shines bright). What is more, this multifunctional panel has much more features like different driving modes, info from the driving assistance system, etc.
