When to use Microsoft Loop - Now or Later?

I think Microsoft went the wrong way with this...they made things more complicated/confusing instead of simpler/more intuitive. It seems like they need to step back, take an audit of what tools they currently offer for communication, task management, and collaboration...and do some consolidation exercises.
