It would be nice if Boomerang starts airing The Flintstones again someday.
Josh Montemayor They're coming to MeTV September 30th at 6pm weeknights
@@benjaminnatanielbincthomps1591 not everybody has MeTv though
Boomerang subscription channel online has the whole series.
Boomerang in the United States is broadcasting it, I also know that the new Me TV Toons channel is also broadcasting it, here in Latin America, The Flintstones no longer broadcast it on any subscription channel, previously they broadcast it on Tooncast, although here in Peru, The country where I live is being shown on open TV, on Global Television from Monday to Friday and on ATV on Saturdays and Sundays.
My Dad used to own this DVD for Christmas back in 2021
I got the first edition of the entire series on DVD for my 20th birthday, but I might get this version in the future!
You know what J?
I had the same problem with my Flintstones DVD when my 2nd case is also broken.
Woohoo!
What a broken case day!
Alex Carlson me too the clips have come out in one of them but in a completely different box set the DVDs are actually meant to come out so I can live with it.
I did all of them seasons off MeTV last fall on vhs I'm slowly putting on DVD
Nice
are they going to make a ed edd n eddy Complete Series or dexter's laboratory or johnny bravo
I wish they would, but I'm not aware that there are any plans for those right now.
@@JsBluRays maybe on the future i hope
I don’t know why. But I love watching these videos! They are very interesting.
if you want to get right to the unwrapping, skip to 8:05
i just got this from walmart and alot of the disk were scratched was yours like that too
Maybe you can ask for a box set of the smurfs the complete series on dvd.
Update:Flintstones are coming to MeTV network weeknights at 6 starting September 30th
I Know I'm Definitely Buying The Flintstones The Complete Series when I get a Chance and I Can't Wait 😱
Glad you showed me the inside of that newer Flintstones all-in-one! I researched it on EBay quite fruitlessly to see what the inside of the cases looked like, but all I got was either stock photos, or those of the front, back and spine.
Always remember to check the bottom of the discs people, if it’s not dual layered, it’s a bootleg no matter how nice
I’ve wanted this/the season sets for a long while. I’m a big Hannah Barbera fan, but haven’t been able to convince myself $80+ for it, this new release might get me to grab it. I’ve seen it at my Walmart for a few months. Thanks for this video, definitely going to consider this more now!
UPDATE: I got it last night, and both my cases the disc holder/flip thingy were broken so it doesn’t hold them in place unfortunately. But as long as the discs work it’ll be fine, not that bad to work around
@@ashtonhardy7879 that’s cool
I just got this version of the complete series. Which episodes are in black and white? I don't see any.
I might get it and do a comparison with the original and reissue.
I read there is a disc replacement for this DVD set? Is this the case?
Extras aren't important for TV show DVDs unless they include bloopers. Other than that, all that matters is the TV show itself.
WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF THE VIDEOS?
@ 7:47 what wrong with Barney's eyes? yea id say theres something missing
That's what his eyes look on the show.
can you include the link where you bought these from?
Big, *T H I C C* , box set
Well getting the early releases has just got harder. Original season 1 just went out of print and is going for high price. The other original releases should follow soon so if you want the ones with the extras get them now. Otherwise the new releases are your best bet.
Extras are overrated and can Al be watched here on TH-cam
DVD cases nowadays must be made out of a flimsier plastic (like ecobox), same thing happened when I ordered my Godzilla collection a while back
Maybe its best to buy them at the store or on Ebay, because they have a better chance of being in better condition, whereas Amazon seems to have a 50/50 chance of delivering whatever it is you ordered in rather rough shape.
Gemini Sunrise yeah I bought Family Guy volume 2 and one part of the flipper came snapped off
Is the video quality any different form previous release
I don’t think so
@@watchforever1724 thank you
So if I get each individual season does that mean those have the bonus features? And why did you choose this box set instead of buying each individual season? And if you addressed this in the video I might have missed it and I apologize... thanks for doing this video I want to get the series
If you buy the OLD versions of the original seasons, you will have all the bonus features. I chose to buy this version because I know I won't ever watch any of the bonus features anyway, and I really like the slim packaging on this release. I wish though that they could have just released the same exact old discs in this packaging so all the bonus features could be in tact. But they didn't. So you gotta pick and choose what you'd rather have.
J's Blu-Rays thanks...I like the slim packages too
Or you could just buy both the individual seasons DVDs and the complete series DVD.
Great review!!! How do they play/picture quality?? Are they remastered???
Seems pretty good to me, but I'm not an expert. Might suggest going for the blu-ray if you want the best picture quality.
Well the run time is 72 hours and 14 minutes if you wanted to know
In regards to the various Flintstones versions, what's the best edition? I understandably want every episode uncut and the bonus features (I might only watch them once, but they're present for history's sake). I almost bought the TV box too, years ago. Glad now that I didn't.
The older releases of the individual seasons are probably what you'd want, as this set has no bonus features, unfortunately.
the older version has extras. This is more of a Lower Budget/Lower cost set, which is why the artworks on the disc are Clear (less ink to use) and also why the menus are just plain with a still and episode selection (Less data to use on the disc to cram more episodes to use less discs)
Hey I just bought this FF box set today at Walmart and to my surprise it came in clear cases and nothing was damaged and no floating discs. And the clear cases feel really durable!
And like you said in this video about the art work on the back cover, I can see the art work now through the clear case.
I have all the episodes of the Flintstones 1 to 6 I got them all in their dvds
Man this is pricey. I can't find Walmart actual listing. I would be all over this in the $30 and under range.
Walmart stores have The Flintstones set for $60 but Scooby Doo complete series is $30
LOOK ON EBAY.
is french included?
J, they are releasing a complete series box set of The Jetsons on September 10th of this year.
Cool! Where did you hear about that?
J's Blu-Rays Read that on Hanna Barbara’s classic collection Wiki page.
Here you go: www.amazon.com/Jetsons-Complete-Original-Blu-ray/dp/B07TPYXPL1/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3UOBO8NJ41LEB&keywords=the+jetsons+the+complete+series&qid=1584344110&sprefix=the+jetsons+the+complete%2Caps%2C183&sr=8-1
@@andykishore didn’t expect them to have a Blu-ray release yet again but I have heard them do a Flinstones release for that
I own it
No extras means no sale. I liked the 60s commercials, rare pilot and tons of extras. I'll stick to the old sets. I might pick it up if it's cheap and otherwise i'll skip this.
All that matters is the cartoon show.
***can anyone tell me why hanna barbera is terrible with putting out dvds? WHY CANT THEY RELEASE THE SMURFS COMPLETE SERIES?***
Hanna-Barbera doesn't put out these DVDs, it's Warner Home Video, and they havent released anything new from their classic library in years, anything new is coming from Warner Archive which is a different staff than WHV (they put out a Porky DVD set in 2017, and 3 popeye blu-rays from 2018 to 2019, the series is on a break and something new will be coming out in february, it's classic animation but not popeye or MGM if i recall right), if anything they would probably end up putting out Smurfs because last year they put out the complete original jetsons series (24 eps) on blu-ray.
Jasbre Network It also sucks their old DVDs for the Saturday morning cartoons of the 50s-80s are out of print.I really wanted to get more of those, since they had tons of cool things, like uncensored episodes, special features, and cool box art.
I also wish they would being the smurfs complete series!
They did single seasons of Flintstones.
Do you have anything other than movies and cartoon tv series?
Love it!! I Can't find this on Amazon ? Did you purchase this at wal-mart?
me either!
Yes, Walmart has it (well most Walmarts do anyway...maybe not all of them)
J's Blu-Rays not my walmart my walmart sucks but its the closest one to my home
I'm keeping the vhs for back up just in case
the discs aren't identical to the first release. The Artworks were in color. These are just an image in one color on a clear label. Also on the original release, the menu was animated with the theme song playing. On this set, it's just a still menu with a picture, a black background and episode list. Kind of feels like a bootleg. BUT that helps take up less Data so they can cram more episodes onto a disc.
The original season 1 took 5 discs. Well, 4, since one is double sided with the features on disc 4 side B. They only need 3 discs since the menus aren't animated.
I got mine at walmart along with Scooby Doo. I had both on pre-order on amazon, with a release date of the 13th But Walmart had them on the 2nd with Flintsone's cost being 20 dollars less than my pre-order.
I hate not having bonus features. But if that means I get a better case, then I'll take that over the original's crappy case.
I hate getting broken Cases. If The discs are fine, I Just go onto ebay and buy a new replacement case. I get too worried that the next set will also come with a broken case.
Yep, I agree with you. I want the bonus features, but to me having a nicer case is just a little bit better
@@JsBluRays Bonus features are almost always here on youtube for anything.
awesome unboxing man
Wow that really sucks, maybe it got damaged when in shipping. You should definitely send it back and perhaps even hunt for it in Wal-Mart if they have it.
Walmart has it for $60
I guess with it being a larger package with all the discs that would make sense.
Why did you take the DVDs. Episodes are now all available on iTunes.
I prefer physical media
Man r u getting daddy's home 2? really looking forward for its unboxing
I don't think so. Looks good but it's not something I feel like I need right now.
J's Blu-Rays of course its not that great!!
+J's Blu-Rays
Just outta curiosity, how old are you?
Older than the target audience for this show that’s for sure
Yeah I got this release too
How much is the Flintstones complete series ill get it off your hands
I just recently bought it for 30 on eBay. They have more.
@@Flametasticeedits are you the real arnold who played mr freeze
@@moneycouch3865 lol
Hi! Great unboxing! One question tough... does it have francaise or Spanish audio, or just English?
It doesn't say on the packaging, so I don't know
U havent try it yet? If so, please can u tell?
I just got this on Wednesday and I can confirm it’s only English spoken audio, but does have French, Spanish and English subtitles
Ashton Hardy thanks man!
At least it has that, which is great-- I'll take it in lieu of any other bonuses!
We still need a complete series set of The Jetsons.
Well that does exist, but its on those shitty DVD-R discs. We need a Genuine Warner Bros. release, and maybe just for the hell of it, "Jetsons The Movie" (even though that movie was kinda mediocre) on a Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Ultra Violet HD combo back.
But then again "Jetsons The Movie" is actually owned by Universal, so that might be a bit tricky.
Fire Dust it was only released in season sets not a complete series set.
True, but still they were DVD-R and not official Warner Bros. releases.
We also need a Complete Series set of The Ruff and Reddy Show (Hanna-Barbera's first series).
I'm getting mine from eBay

Hey J, have you heard of the AT&T-Time Warner merger?
No haven't heard of it
It's happening!
This isn't on Amazon😲
Jeff B Yea it is. Amazon has it listed for $77.02.

Wrong.
A yabba dabba doo this is cool
How much you want for it? I buy it and give you good deal
I was the hey Arnold black case owner, it really doesn’t bother me now, I just wanted the episode so I’m good with it.
Heart ❤ 💙
yabba dabba doo this video good
I saw this at Walmart
Same.
Do you know how much the price was
So did I. But at a different Walmart.
Don't trust Amazon trust ebay
I read on Amazon reviews how shitty the box set is, so I took all the commentors' advice and ordered the 6 seasons individually. Costs more, obviously, but you don't have to worry about the shitty box set.

Hey J, there is a site where you can get a replacement case, I go there all the time anytime I need special cases for box sets like these. It's called usplastic.com. the cases there are very cheap and you only have to buy what you need only. Check it out, J!
Thanks! Will check it out
