Only played through this gem for the first time at the beginning of the year. This song and the track that plays during thr final mission really stand out to me. I adored the story of AC3
I'm gearing up for another 3 to last raven playthrough. Artificial sky ALWAYS gets me pumped up to play. They outdid themselves with these soundtracks.
Yeah, the ending was great. The song fit the mood very well. I finished AC3 for the first time just today, was a very interesting intro to the series for me. Gonna do Silent Line next.

The Controller wasn't evil and it didn't malfunction. It simply wanted to test humanity to see if it was strong enough to repopulate the Earth. It's final directive is the proof. What it simply waited for was for someone to prove that humanity had become strong enough and thus worthy to repopulate the devastated earth.
In my opinion, this is the best musical piece in any Armored Core game (may be biased because 3 was my first AC game). 2:45 on is just overpowering, what with that martial-sounding cello, that electronic beat, the distorted voices and that beautiful vocalist all going at it at once. It's indescribable, really. If I ever ended up in a fight for my life somewhere, this would be blaring in my heard. Kota Hoshino is a fucking genius.
Did you know not only as a stand alone game, but if Armored Core ended @ 3 its ending would actually be wonderful and romantic. Armored Core 3 isn't my favorite, but that's like saying what your favorite topping on pizza is. There's so many! Armored Core 3 can be considered a game on its own, the beginning and end to its own story. It also fits as a continuation from of the series, and very clearly directly ties into the rest of the series. But if the ending scene to AC3 had been the last we saw, it'd end on a positive note. Man shit got dark after this.
I’m probably a bad person but, eh, I sorta liked how dark it got as it continued? You’re right, 3’s ending would have been the best but, I liked how humanity came back to the surface, thrived for an afternoon, then literally summoned the demons that probably killed their ancestors (the Leviathans, Pulverizers, and the Internecine). Last Raven was fantastic because you realized you weren’t just a merc out for a paycheck, you were a catalyst interacting with people ( Evangel, Jack, Zinaida) to decide mankind’s fate.
yeah ive always had a feeling that the song is very accurate on its title. The Vocal hymn, violin and piano are likely a representation of a melody that sounds sincere and real. While the electric beats, distorted voices, and other mixed soundbits are based on something mechanical and fake. This Hymn is perhaps singing to an Artificial Sky.
Wow... this song Something about is just... beautiful... I remembering hearing it the first time while watching the ending ensue... I cried I cannot explain how this song makes me feel so... hopeful.

2024 and I finally beat it with my brother with me, you may find my other comment if you look down but it was finally done. Humanity proved itself to rise to the surface again and breathe in fresh air and touch grass. My brother is again going away to Japan for about 5 years and I finally beat it with him and saw the ending in person. May have to play AC6 more to keep my skills sharp against him but for now a Raven needs rest. This song still gives me goosebumps, I never really explained why I love it so much enough to bother leaving a comment but I guess I love how all the artificial sky’s build off of each other and this is the most complex and beautiful one. The ending is no more than a one minute slide show but it shows you all you need, ironically the beauty of it is no longer looking up and seeing an Artifical Sky anymore

"Damage to the main processor exceeds 90%... energy supply diminishing... Attempting reconstruction... Executing final directive... Surface access... Releasing lock... Final directive...complete...program override initiated... System...shutting down." - Final Words of Layered's Controller
@NullGuardian In their given universes, it would probably be Transformer (if Prime/Mega-level transformer) > Gundam > AC. Transformers seem to be able to take huge missile and energy hits with just a scratch and always end up using some mystic power source to 1-hit KO something, whereas Gundams are similar in that they either equip stupid powerful guns (eg. Zero's rifle destroying a colony in 1 hit) or almost alien-like advanced tech. ACs are smaller and are more realistic (underpowered vs.)
@Prelyood A nexts could probably give a gundam a run for it's money. I doubt a 3rd generation AC would be too much of a problem unless equipped with the crow stealth system, just to give it a chance, and Gundams might be immune to that. Either way, I can imagine a next and and gundam going head to head for a good fight.
I need some context, when you say "gundam", are we talking about the series' suits as a whole, or the actual main protagonist's gundam. I know for a fact an AC could tank whatever a standard mobile suit could throw at it, as we've seen the weakest AC tank over a hundred machine gun rounds whereas a mobile suit gets shredded.
@Prelyood But if all were set to even strength, it would probably be AC/Gundam > Transformer. Without the huge power, a Transformer is just a transforming robot with one, maybe 2 laser guns (LOSE). Then would be a toss up between Gundam or AC. Gundams seem to be more agile and highly maneuverable compared to ACs, and still have unique tech. ACs are highly customizable and would on average, contain more firepower and mods available for varied tactics across all situations.
They are decent,I like them for the designs such as the TYPE-HOGIRE,TYPE-LAHIRE,003 AALIYAH but the games are to easy for me. Pick the right parts you can even make Genobee and Nine Ball.
