Wish we had videos this informative for the 3sge Altezza. Hoping i can learn enough to not screw it up. Is the w55 a better choice then the J160? The couple of forums discussing the Altezza suggest using J160
Hey man, do you have any gear chatter from the single mass flywheel? I bought a swapped is300 with a supra flywheel and w55, no clutch damper. At low engine speeds under load the gears knock against each other, making a rattling sound. I’m not sure where to start. Thank you
No issues with my swap. Everything shifts smooth and nice. I have a 6 puck with extreme pressure plate so it’s on/off engagement. Definitely not for a novice stick driver but
Maybe you’re missing some of the parts? The shifter is pretty self explanatory. There are a few wave & flat washers but the bushing is part of the shifter ball and only fits one way.
@@TunerwithKids Thanks, I figured out the problem, its not the shifter that was ratteling but the bearings inside my w58 that are going out. I plan on rebuilding it this summer. Thanks though, Love the videos
I’m not doing that. I’m using the ABS signal for speed since auto is setup for that. You have to bring that signal to cluster though. There’s a good DIY write on Infinite Iteration Blog.
Hi Binh, I'm thinking about going the same route as you where I'll be removing the stock Dual Mass Flywheel and installing a Single Mass Flywheel (LUK LFW452). If my theory is correct, any clutch kit that fits 1992-1997 MKIV NA Supra/SC300 should work such as SACHS K70062-01. What do you think? And of course, I would need the flywheel bolts and slave cylinder push rod to make it work which is all I need for my clutch/flywheel replacement.
I’m like $2,600 in on parts. But you can see I got a lot of new and optional stuff. But if you see my final install series, it’s an OEM swap with no check engine or warning lights.
The ABS&TRC module that you got(079400-8443 / 89540-53150 ) is one that does not have vehicle stability control, only traction control? Do you know if there is a way to keep VSC and do a manual swap? I have a sedan though. VSC has on multiple occasions saved my ass, I have a switch to turn it off when I am driving in the City, but on highway I like to keep it active. About to start a manual swap too (got most of the stuff already, trying to figure this thing out...) And great video as always!
Just got a w55 yesterday and so happy I found this! I’m hoping low boost will hold on her haha, hoping for 350-400
Was it able to hold boost?
Awesome detail knowledge! I own a stock ‘03 TCM SD 5MT and this will be well worth it! Completely comes to life from an automatic!
Woooo, way to go brotha, you did it!
Thank you. I just want to say I love your videos!
great video again always detailed looking forward to the next video
Great video! Very useful information! :)
I need a clutch pedal if you have any left!
Very detailed! Awesome video. Thx.
maaannnn, great, great video right here
Wow, this is awesome binh

No idea on the J160, W55 is OEM so I wanted something simple and bolt on until I do actual GE NA-T built motor.
Very informative video! Do you have the part number for the harness plugs for the two clutch switches? I can't seem to come up with one.

Can you please make a video on how you install the bushings for the shifter. My shifter on my manual swapped is300 is rattling.

Can you make a video of wiring up the vss to ecu if you figure it out please

Thanks bro can you make a video of your set up that's the only code I have I did the swap about a year ago car runs smooth
@@isaacramirez6316 I have not gotten to the swap yet.
So I have a w55 and I don’t have the bell housing. What are my options?
W55 or 58 bell. Need matching pushrod for the slave for either.
Hey Binh, do you know the pn for the cmc reservoir? Also could you get away with just using the t100 reservoir?
No idea on CMC. For the T100 reservoir, it's low and tucked away vs the bend for the IS300.
I’m in Jax Fl. Do you still have this set up? I want to swap mine.
What is the part number for the release bearing clip
Not needed if you buy OEM bearing or most aftermarket since it’s included.

Clutch disk for W58. Pressure plate is same for W58 or W55
@@TunerwithKidsdoes that mean I have to get a clutch thats for w55? I thought they were essentially the same.
No. W55 is unsprung because it has the dual mass FW. W58 is sprung
@@TunerwithKids are you saying as long as the clutch is sprung, the setup I have will work?
i wanna know where did you buy the slave cylinder rod?? cant find it anywhere, thank you and nice video!
Check description box for P/N. Order from Toyota
@@TunerwithKids is the rod from an n/a supra or turbocharged? cause still not found it
@@drouinofficiel he said n/a mk4 supra
Do you still have a clutch pedal kit? Lmk.
Do you have anymore Manuel clutch or Manuel brake pedal assemblies left?
Yea but prices have gone up. I’m only selling both together.
@@TunerwithKids how much for both?
Omg I just did in and had check engine light
How total cost in parts.. going to swap my IS soon

Do you know anything about manual swapping a 2014 is350?
Hahah go luck. No one has tried except maybe RAD industry which has a 2JZ.
@@TunerwithKids oh ok ok, I don’t own one but I was looking into them and was thinking a manual would be nice
I think I want to buy an IS now. Didn’t know this was possible
Yeah, for years now… like since they came out
Do you still have pedals for sale?
Got one right now.
@@TunerwithKids if you have sold that one id love to purchase it
Do you have anymore clutch pedals?
Next month I'll have another batch.
bro 5k for the swap now :(
haha.. if i can do it you "maybe" able to do it...

VSC needs an automatic transmission.
