Gotta do those oil changes regularly with these German cars. Sludge will cause all kinds of craziness with these cars. I’m kind of becoming an expert with my daughter car lol
Would you say it's just needs a new oil change? I'm having this issue too and I haven't gotten an oil change and its already past 10k miles
@@MrSamoannn Check the variable valve timing Solenoid. If the little magnetic part is sticking replace it. It should fall in and out with ease
@@JJJobson turns out it was my spark plugs and coils. Had to get them replaced today 🥲. They were fried
@@MrSamoannn WoW, how much was 4 coils? I did my daughters spark plugs but not coils. It was a booger getting those boots out. The problem was the vvt solenoid but I went ahead and did plugs just bc they were probably original by the looks of them. Glad you got it fixed
@@JJJobson It costed me 930 for all spark plugs and coils. That was my local mechanic while Audi charged me close to 2k for it. And yes sir I am happy

I’ve changed just the camshaft position sensor and I’m experiencing the same issue. Do you think that if I need to do what you did in order to fix the EPC light from coming back on and for the car not to idle? Also where did you get these parts and tools?

For me, it was a bad intake camshaft vvt gear. I replaced It with another intake cam. While you're in there, change the oil cooler gasket. If it fails, you will get coolant mixed with oil destroying your new cam. Don't ask me how I know 😅
Hello, i have a Audi S8 from 2015. We did a valve cover gasket put everything back. Now it makes a metallic noise, I got check engine light 4000 rpm warning light on. Can high fuel pressure cause this noise and these lights ? Or maybe cam follower ?? It’s driving me crazy

My Leon FR is doing the exact same thing CCZB engine code, only does it when low RPM and when oil it at correct temperature, also makes a rattle sound when you come off the throttle.

@@benXtrans turned out to be chain tensioner I left it a couple miles too long and car started misfiring and timing is now out so I suspect it’s slipped a tooth or 2, I still have the car not drove it since I posted this comment or a day or so more lol

I have a Audi q 5 it does this the Epc light comes on and then sometimes has a little problem starting it just keeps trying to start off on I have to press in the accelerator and it starts or just starts normal when it does not start normally it will idle little hard but once I get going it’s smooth the Epc light comes on between 48 mph and lower 😢 and does a small jerk .. this video came up while I was driving and think my car connected to my phone to tell me what was wrong lol
Is the engine light on by chance? Check your spark plugs when was the spark plugs been replace?

So what’s the point of replacing the cam bracket? Maybe I missed that part but I am also having the same problem on my mk6 gti in first and reverse and I can’t seem to figure it out.
I purchased this cam bracket from Amazon and its defective, so i put the original one back on

Before you buy one this kind a engine, make sure to check and look at the server schedule, ask for what been done and worked on. Check the time chain noise see if its been replace or not, check under the engine for oil leaks or coolant leaks. Good luck
To check the timing chain remove the plastic black cover on top of the timing chain for inspection .

worn camshaft adjuster or solenoid valve can lose pressure on high temperature because oil is thinner at hot

Some vehicles have different problem but same symptoms are same in this case my problem was the Cam bridge
Update problem fixed no Engine light came back 👍 Cam Bridge and Vvt Valve was replaced

I have this exact problem at times. My car can just cut off power. But once I start her up again. She drives just fine. Am really looking forward to the drive test and getting to see the final results did this fix the epc light and and power lag problem for you sir. I am interested to know the final result.

@@damnitdanielsondid you experience ball and spring falling in, I fear the screen may have blown out for mine but just had someone stat the ball and spring fell into the lower timing portion

Hello, Thanks for the video, I have 2013 Quattro 2.0 tfsi and sometimes I have issue with iddle, it is not stable(on cluster RPM is stable). Do you know what the issue might be?

I do not have that issue always, sometimes some reason, I have that, than I go home, car cools down, after that no issue.
Start by cleaning the inside throttle body

No. Just use a intake cleaner spray and a clean towel, best result try seafoam cleaner ( it cleans the throttle, intake and the valves)
