- In this video I review the Helinox chair zero after 3 and half years of use. Funnily it breaks while I'm filming this video praising the chair, so I conclude by testing the warranty process.

A guy bought the One chair after breaking the frame for the Zero. The cover for the Zero fits on the One frame. The One frame with the Zero cover is pretty lightweight.
One of my helinox chairs the stretch cord no longer stretches. Had that chair for 3 years and they sent me new cord to fix it.

Imagine if they denied your claim and this video went viral. The customer support / claims manager would have likely lost their job. Customers in the internet age definitely have more power over businesses that try to act in bad faith, and obviously Big Agnes / Helinox is not one of those companies and a good reason why so many customers seek out their products.
Do yourself a favour and also buy the ground sheet, it will be much stronger and also won't sink down in the soft ground
I think putting it in soft snow and on an incline slant did it. You entire body weight was on one side when you say down and it forced the break. I don't think it would've happened if it where on a flatter ground.
Take a shot for every replay of the break replay

Well...just diy or buy a groundsheet and that chair will last for years and never fail
All other chairs have evolved and got improved only this Helinox chair changes nothing and the price is still so expensive! It's like Nokia is going to history and gone with the wind!

You're a scammer. The video clearly shows it was your fault that the chair broke. You laid the chair in snow where you know it sinks in. You approached the chair in on an angle putting a stress on one side. Both of these increased the likelihood of a breakage. You were basically twisting the chair with your whole weight. If you had removed the snow, made sure that the ground was relatively flat and secure, and approached straight, it would not have been broken.
I don't understand the kind of sense of entitlement you have to talk as if it's the fault of the chair.
Believe what you like, I may not have been as careful as I could have, but I certainly didn’t try to break the chair. It’s also clear from the redesign I point out that the company acknowledged the weak point in the chair and improved it.
He also plopped down pretty hard... seemed stage to me too
They do have a soft ground cover which goes under the feed to spread the load and stops the legs from stretching to far.
@teitake why on earth are you acting like a shill for Helinox when they don't need or want any shills? they were happy to replace OP's kit, no questions asked. we could see he was using the chair in a pretty normal/nominal camping environment. and yet you attack him like an angry helinox share holder!!!
