Just found your channel from writing on a school desk of all things (won't mention where for obvious reasons). I must say, I enjoy your channel, I reward you with bragging rights about having 500 subs :)
A classic! Great reaction too, you picked up on a lot. The soundbite at the start is from the First World War song "Take Me Back to Dear Old Blighty". Morrissey is very anti-establishment, loathed the Queen and the monarchy, saw the Queen as a dictator who thought of him, and everyone else, as her "subjects". I think I mentioned on a previous video that the bands were only together for about 5 years, but put out a stellar discography. Their breakup was a complicated one over royalties. Moz and Johnny were netting 40% each in royalties, Andy (bassist) and Mike (drummer) discovered they were only receiving 10% each. So they took Moz and Johnny to court, won the case, got £1m in backdated royalties and 25% each going forward. But it wasn't enough as Andy was declared bankrupt in '99, and Mike - and my memory is a little fuzzy on this bit - kept hounding Moz and Johnny for more and more cash I believe, because he was in so much debt, but he'd received all his royalties and there was nothing left to give. Moz called him an inconvenience. And if you're wondering if there's going to be a reunion, no chance haha. Morrissey's controversial political opinions are the stark opposite of Johnny's and he wants nothing to do with them. Also, if you've seen the film Inception, Johnny worked on the soundtrack with Hans Zimmer. 'Time' is probably one of the most infamous pieces of music in cinema history now. Worth checking if you're into soundtracks. x
