Kamal Hassan's character is taken directly from his old film 'Vikram' from 1986... Vikram - Hitlist is a spiritual sequel to the 1986 film and in the same universe as Kaithi...
Bro actually kaithi's story is about one person or almost revolving around dilli which quite boring 💤 sometime ...but vikram is universe itself ..interesting characters,action scenes helps us to engage in it

Whereas in Vikram, the scenes are let to breathe before action setpieces and the screenplay is a little elaborated. Kaithi established the core point inside the first 10 to 15 mins and the film goes on. But I can't really choose between Kaithi and Vikram. Kaithi was very engaging for me atleast with that action setpieces and the emotions at that climax scene. Vikram on the other hand had some investigation angle in the 1st half and an action film in the 2nd half with a tail end that expands the universe for next installments to come for the people to wait for.
Vikram was such a good pan Indian movie unlike Pushpa the typical Telugu masala movie which tries to kill Physics along with RRR's masala and its stunts. Finally the buildup alone movie like KGF
