What a Gem that Transit is! Plus the VW LT vans, what a waste! We've got a 1984 35, it's old school now! Can't believe they got left like that, madness!
I'll tell you how amazing that is those trees around the vans, they are Birch trees, birch forests are becoming endangered in the UK and Europe, that should be a protected site !!!
What a great find, and loved the mk1/mk3 transits. Bloody classis. Its a shame the mk1 ain't in a museum somewhere. Also its nice to see a place that has not been ransacked. 👍👍
For everyone asking about the mk1, it isn't abandoned, and was stored here in mint condition until people started breaking in, and I mean just restored perfect condition. Building is now secured again, and the mk1 is in the process of being restored, again... This whole site has a hell of a tale behind it, but not my place to share.
That MK1 Transit is well worth saving, the York Diesel wasn't the best engine, but with the diesel front, you could fit a V6 3lt Essex engine, many were converted in days gone by.
Looking at the registration numbers on those vans, I’d say the place has been abandoned since the late 1990’s and literally left frozen in time. The MK1 Transit is very rare now and I’ve seen a restored example sell for around £20,000 locally. Most of the other vans are past saving from the looks of them. Very strange how the place wasn’t taken over, or assets sold off though.
What a neat place.I love the blue Ford flatbed truck on.why would they leave all those generators and new parts etc.couldnt they be used where ever they were moved too? Strange.A good find.some guys in the United States would love to restore those vans.Take care ❤💓🇺🇸😘
The hanging frames in drying room were for drying overcoats, workjackets etc., the circular pockets on the frames were for drying footwear by placing each workboot/welly upside down in circular frame. That's why there is a radiator in middle of room.
Hi great find i like the way your wearing a vans t shirt looking at vans Yea somebody answered the shower questions I used to do security for a place made alcohol their motto was better off red then dead
Whole line of wacker packers for tamping soil. Theres enough vans to make a few good ones. You should find the owner and make an offer. That tree is about 25 to 30 years old. Amazing place. Hi from Arkansas in the states. 👍
Totally unexpected explore here, you can get places like old factories but why would this place be abandoned with all that stuff? And that Transit! Well found location and a great explore 👍
The motor driven item in the men’s toilet is a pump for extracting water. The filter at the end would be put into the water to only extract water and not sludge
Looks like a water company contractor's yard judging my the small machinery to reinstate trenches, pipe fittings, fleet of light vans etc. Maybe they lost the contract and folded. Shame about the 70s blue transit tipper, someone's after hours project they had to leave behind.
I bought a Ford Mk 1 camper van about 1998ish in its original condition I was the 3rd owner , it had a 1600cc petrol engine in it which for the size of the van was under powered , I went down to Devon in it and covered over a thousand miles in a week , it was in good nick except when I got back home the head gasket went and I had to have a new one fitted it wasn't very practical for running round with the kids because the insurance company would only agree to insure it for two people to travel in it because of the configuration with no possibility of seat belts in the back , so I sold it to a mate who wanted to use it to go to motorbike shows , looking back I wish I'd have kept it and put a 2litre motor in it . But hay ho you live and learn , that's why I've got no money left to busy living and learning , such is life . 😂😎😜
@Jamie How from what I know of the new owners there looking at saving the old vehicles as all the registration documents were sent off and vehicles put on sorn The developer has lots of people whom he could and probably will pass the vehicles on too
@Jamie How The Bearded Explorer did write, he Mk1 Transit inside is actually owned by a local man who rents out part of the building and is fully aware of its location and is in the process of being moved to a more Secure place.
Seen many videos on this location but can't find any information as to what happened to this company and why its abandoned, anyone have any information on the reasons why?? Sure it would make an interesting story
Seems very strange Someone Claiming to be the Owner of the MK 1 Transit leaving it There, at risk of Vandals Destroying it .........If the The Bearded Explorer can simply Walk in, then Others with no respect can Walk straight in, it wouldnt be left There a minute longer if it were Mine. Another Great Explore as always..........
I'd say the bag he carries has "tools" to enable a clean untraceable entry! This is still trespassing! Not he never respond to is this trespassing??? There with the owner permission!!! I dont think so...
Great video m8y and nice to see Tazer again. Did you get any drone footage ? ? The transit mk1 is worth a lot of money and the other vans would be worth a lot in parts too. Trench whackers, pumps and fittings as well all worth good money. Someone must surely own it still but have not been down for years by the looks of things ? ?
I live around the corner from hear and that blue transit wasn’t there when I was last there and the cream transit inside use to have the keys in it and a logbook but they got stolen
Emergency showers are for chemicals. I worked on a few chemical plants that had hundreds dotted around the sites. If your splashed or drenched in a chemical then you’d use the shower to reduce the risk of burns etc
What's in the van at 5:57? At first glance it looked like the charred legs of an incinerated body! Other than that shocker, another great explore. Let's hope the mk1 Transit gets moved to safety soon.
Great video it's amazing how you find these places⭐, leave a comment below if you do find out what happened to this company and why it was abandoned I'd love to know as I take liking to places like this. Definitely a good explore I enjoyed it👌
GREAT EXPLORER, MY FRIEND. THAT FORD TRANSIT MK I, IT'S REAL A SHAME TO BE LEFT BEIND AND MORE STUPID IS VANDALIZE A CAR IN THAT CONDITION, SHE MOST BE SAVED TO A COLLECTOR. CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR GREAT EXPLORER😀😉TAKE CARE🌜🌞🌞🌻🌞🌞🌛

Those Emergency showers were used if you got dirty on a job or contamination on yourself used to have them when I worked at a recover company. Company policy was to wash your selves down after dirty job before entering garage or other vehicles
It's a mobile pressure pump. The company must have laid water mains and used the test pump to fill them and check that they held so they could be signed off.
that TRANSIT is worth a small fortune, It's in fact a museum piece.
That ford transit is amazing wish it could be saved , I enjoyed this explore.
SOMEONE NEEDS TO GO IN AND SAVE IT OR ANY OF THEM
I love your trips with Tazer. You guys play off each other so well.
Another great find. Just imagine how good it would be if we could time lapse it.

Mk1 transit was gorgeous
Well worth the trip just to see that

the bullnose transit is extremely rare
The fact that it still has its diesel engine is the thing that makes it very rare.
The essex was originally going to be a diesel
@@davejohnson3474 And ended up being an overweight petrol engine
@@p.istaker8862 yer buddy got that low end torque from those short rods
Beautiful dashboard in that classic Transit, excellent video as always.
Really enjoy your videos. Looks like a lot of fun. I absolutely love your laugh! Hello from Alabama USA. ♥😊

All the youngsters that are finding it hard to get work, wouldn’t it be great if a charity or someone took it over and used it to teach skills etc
Nice to escape from the day to day.... appreciate your adventures
Wow guy this a spectacular video I hope a car enthusiast will catch this and buy all those vehicles to restore for our future history
Great explore 👍
Wish we had some of the European VW vans here in the USA, so much better looking for the time period. Cheers, be safe✌
I would have thought you being from the States , the UK built Ford Transits ,particularly the smart blue 1971 mk1 truck would be more appealing.
@@mikemartin2957 I do agree, but the VW is so different than what was available, for the time frame most US brand vans all looked too similar.
I've always liked american vans and trucks much better looking than our UK crap
It is amazing how quickly nature takes back. And we think that we're clever. Great explore. Cheers. All the best from Buenos Aires. 👍🏻

Great video really enjoyed you takin us round amazing place
Those things over the radiator are for clothes drying with boot holders (you put the boots in upside down) we had the on BT
always great watching your videos thanks for sharing them 😎👍
The motor driven item in the men’s toilet is a pump for extracting water. The filter at the end would be put into the water to only extract water and not sludge
The vans are all sorn so they’re obviously still owned by someone.
After visiting Mr O'dohertys site I hear he would like you to give him a hand with the foundations on his next Tarmacking job.
The trees have caged the vans in a nature time line. 😅 Cool 😎
Wow what a great find, I’m exploring some caves later 🎥👍
That Mk1 looks mint! Hope it can be saved 🤞🏻

Diesel jetty pressure to unblock drains. Drying rack for wellies and hi-viz trousers, hi viz jackets
I know that place well. The original owner died but the site has since been sold on for property

That Mark 1 transit is worth a fortune it needs to be given to a collector
yes deffo before some wright bastard,s trash it for fun
Look at the spider web...amazing
Yea that 100% needs saving and sticking in a museum.
that transit definitely needs saving, quite rare now and worth something, and the LT35 VWs as well

Can't believe all that stuff is still there
A great explore. Nice to see that splendid hair of your without the hat.
Just checked the Transit L503 CKK & that is SORN too
Love that old transit, makes you wonder the mentality of someone running a key down the door 🙄🙄
Great! Are u going to do anything with it?
I presume the hangers would be for wet jackets and the baskets for shoes, the radiator would dry them off after a wet day.
This is totally unbelievable cars that should be driving left to turn potted plants and rot. Didn't the company think of selling at least as scrap?
Jackets and the baskets you put your trousers over like legs to dangle dry? I vaguely remember that company knocking around....
I’ll never understand the vandals mentality. I’m guessing emergency shower could be because they dealt with chemicals and hot tar.
The Mk1 Transit pick up & the "smiley" Mk3 Transit swb van seriously need saving before more damage is done. Are you looking into who the owners are?
Is say the hangers are for work clothes to dry and the two baskets on the hangers are for work boots to go in to dry too
Looks like a typical construction company premises of the 90’s.
It's a mobile pressure pump. The company must have laid water mains and used the test pump to fill them and check that they held so they could be signed off.
I guessing you would put wet boots upside down on the cages to dry them.
Those were some amazing vans why do people abandon them?
Very interesting! Why doesn't your little dog go with you any more on your explores? You have a very infectious laugh 😂!!
The LT M797 CYJ is also on SORN
It’s a shame you can’t get parts for LT’s anymore a lot of it is obsolete
Not obsolete, just not made any more - we have one on the road and are members of a brilliant facebook group
Can you apply for v5? Great video 👍
Good video u look strange without your
hat on lol
So what's a Volkswagen LT 35 Truck worth I have one and it's 37 years old. Such a shame theses old vehicles left to decay by nature taking over.
Maybe those cases were used for clothes and shoes - in Germany we got simular one in cole mines
You can put a request in at the dvla then they contact the owner etc
Really want that bullnose transit that looks like its in pretty good condition
the hanging racks are for mac and wellies
That room is called a drying room for wet clothes at the end of the shift they are quite common in building and engineering works! Just saying 👍
It’s near a road and industrial property is worth a fortune these days. Plus the council will be charging rates on it. Strange.
