Thanks, Ron! I meant to stop and say hello, but we were never in the same place at the same time. Hope we get to meet up next time! Keep up the great work on your videos!!
Great video, looking forward to the rest! The Zenith robot you mention was a Heathkit Hero 1, but was re-branded when Zenith bought Heathkit. I actually got to assemble the Hero 1 kit when I was in my senior year high school electronics class. I would love to have one of these but they are very hard to come by.
So glad you got to go and it looks like you had a blast! This vlog is bringing back a lot of memories! I really enjoyed watching and can't wait to see what's in day 2. 😄
Looked like such a cool convention, so well organized too! 💕Thats awesome you were able to get Jerry’s first computer shipped, I bet he was so excited!🤗
The "I am not a mac!" display @12:13 was my booth, I had to add that because people kept wondering what heresy I was upto getting what looked like MacOS at a glance up and running. It's actually GEM 1.1 on that PC/AT.
Oh this is fun and funny!! I recently retired after working in the silicon valley since the early 1980s. I see so many machines that were top of the line NEW technology at different times in my career. I even remember the old dial up modem- and the sound it made as it was in the office next to mine LOL. Thanks for the memories.
Dude, you gotta start using Terminal Top parking for MCO. The elevators will put you right into the terminal, no going underground. Even if the signs say it's full I always find a spot up there. Good video, thank you for sharing. I hope they start doing some sort of retro tech event in FL in the future.
As far as parking goes, they had it blocked off and didn’t allow anyone to even try to find a spot. Both sides! And yes, we need a retro event in Florida!
@@retrotv1tech I am going to the Interm Computer Festival in Seattle, to see more weather channel hardware and also I will buy that and a Texscan MSI SpectraGen-Z Series Character generator.
Too many vloggers just run through these. What good to me is that? Thanks for not doing that. Also like the hotel coverage - Embassy Suites Schaumburg, IL - rooms $196-252 - very reasonable for what I see. At 39:39, that's Bitbinders, not BItbenders.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it and that it was useful! And yes, the room was very nice for the price. Also, I totally missed that about BitBinders. Makes sense now! Thanks!
Mom! Grab the camera! I made it onto the thumbnail!
Haha. Glad you enjoyed VCFMW as well as my Atari Computer Demonstration Center exhibit!
That’s awesome! And yes, that Atari display was amazing!! Thanks for all of your hard work setting it all up!
Love your video showing the details.
It was nice talking to you in person there!
You too! Keep up the great work!
Wow... the amount of stuff looks overwhelming but so cool! Amazing how fast tech has changed over the last bunch of years.
It’s very overwhelming but fun!
This was a fun watch, Josh! Really enjoyed it, and the editing was spot-on. Looking forward to seeing more! 🕹💾📼 📟
Thanks so much Leslie!
Crazy show - by far the largest I've attended. It was a great weekend.
