A looper is the single most useful guitar pedal I've ever owned. I've learned more jamming to a loop pedal over the last 4 years than I learned in the previous 10 without one.

For me ,this is showing WHAT a looper can do . Not How to use it .
I’d like to get better at switching it in and out perfectly. And lessons/good practices on this would be superb .
    Love your channel.

I have two Boss Loop Stations,One I got on sale and one that was given to me.Was able to create and practice so much with it to the point where people couldn't believe It.I don't own a bass so I play guitar through a cheap Danelctro octave pedal to simulate bass and you would never know.Every guitarist should own one. You could easily do a one man show live with it.

I on the market for a loop pedal and I ran into this video by TastyGuitar. He is a very good instructor with clear steps and not like others who just riff through the guitar...This instructional video real works for me. Thanks TastyGuitar.
A question for Rick: Some loop pedals have drum kits/rhythm functions. As a beginner on loop pedal (but not beginner on guitar playing). Should I get a loop pedal with drum/rhytm options? Thanks. David

Interesting. Yesterday I saw an other guy showing what you can do with a loop pedal. Funny thing, he had the same pedal as you.
It's one of the cheaper ones but you can do so much with it.
Edit: This will probably be the next thing I buy to my guitar.

  • @guyguyguyjean

If you're not tapping your foot when you play already your body is not locked in to time. If you can tap your foot in time on the quarter notes you can loop in time, it's the same thing, record on 1, loop on the next 1. If you have trouble doing that it's a time issue and you need to work with a metronome to improve your time.

Great demo Rick, thank you so much. What do you use the external foot switch for that’s connected to your RC 3 ? Obviously it’s for changing something while you’re playing but what? Thanks for a reply if possible. I have just got an RC 3 this week. 🌌🌅🌠👍🏻

    • @TastyGuitarcom
      @TastyGuitarcom  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Thanks! The external pedal is acting as a stop button because without it you need to stomp on the pedal twice to stop playback

    • @high-intelligence111

@@TastyGuitarcom I actually own 5 of them. The thing I've been trying to figure out is setting the tempo. But I did find a tutorial on it. But in the tutorial, it has an audible beat. I need to find a tutorial that has one that shows how to set it up with just the light blinking to the tempo.
By the way, they're great pedals. And you're a great guitarist man. I watch your videos quite a bit. I've been playing many years, and I've learned to learn as much as I can from every guitarist I hear. I've learned different styles, and I like playing and using jazz chords, walk ups and downs, and really just too much to mention.
Thanks for getting back at me. It's greatly appreciated.
I really dig your work, playing and tutorials.
