How cool that you've watched this video Kirk. Isn't YT amazing? Btw look up modesty in a dictionary and you wouldn't find a better definition of it than your comment. Kudos to you. Love your videos as well Kirk, thanks for making them.
I cannot thank you enough for the fretboard animations, this stuff takes alot of effort to do, and I think I can speak in the name of us all that we appreciate that stuff! much love from switzerland!
These are without doubt the best guitar lessons on TH-cam, thank you. In fact, I'd say these are the best tutorials of any kind of those I've seen on YT.
I, as i assume many other, often feel stuck in my blues playing. While watching this EXCELLENT run-through I was getting a few ads with the same-ol'-same-ol' promises of developing my playing without any pain/effort/hard-work etc. How ironic! THIS run-through is smack-full of theory. Applied, but still theory. THIS run-through is full of useful techniques. THIS run-through is full of "moves" that I want to pick up, and I am sure it will be a lot of hard work. This is no get-it-without-effort crap. This is just very good teaching and study material. I've watched a lot of the free YT stuff on guitar-playing. A lot. THIS and other run-throughs from Pow Music is what will occupy me for a good while - a few months at least. I've also watched through the Hendrix-in-Stockholm video and it seems jus as good! THANK YOU!
Great video. Without a doubt, your fretboard animations are definitely the best guitar learning aid I've come across. I've seen others, but yours are the best. Sheet music and tablature are necessary learning tools as far as I'm concerned, but neither describe exactly what is happening on the fingerboard like these animations.
Wow! Love this lesson and love Kirk’s playing. I discovered Kirk a few months ago on a video from Guthrie Trapp. Just love his style. Thank so much for your video. Your feet live animations are so great! I wish I could see those with everything new I’m learning. Your teaching and playing is very informative and easy to follow. Thank you!
cant explain how helpful this was. im very visual when it comes to learning than just hearing. This one of the top channels I look up to! so glad I found you not that long ago. instantly subscribed !
Stupendous, I'm always impressed by the sheer detail and care you evince in the presentation of these videos... if I have one request, please consider covering some of Julian Lage's playing. All the best.
What I like about Kirk Fletcher's playing is that he was more of a pentatonic box player but it's evident he put in the work and added more to his arsenal
I love this guys energy!!!! Been following him for a while! He’s always got a smile on his face! Such a great musician with so much heart and soul as you can hear.
This clever passing chord between F and G at 9:28 is not a truncated F#dim but an Ab7 (featuring only root #5 and seventh b5 on the diagram). Ab7 being the tritone substitution for D7 resolving into G. Very nicely done overall passage I-IV-VIb7-V
Oh man! Kirk's playing is just so tasty! I hope you find this breakdown of some of his moves to be helpful, and then the lesson on how we can fit them in over a jazz blues progression, and how that differs from a standard 12 bar blues! try these strings "DR Strings Pure Blues Pure Nickel Wrap Round Core 9-42" they are a lot easier to bend then the normal electric guitar strings! I've never broken one
This is very literally what I feel I'm missing in other lessons this will help me not have to do that math of what chord we are on in the progression and what degree of the scale did we just target or bend. I've memorize the scales but for some reason hearing the teacher say. yes! I love parts casters :D The one in the video is a mexican fender body with loaded pickguard pulled from an American Professional strat (2 shawbuckers) and a warmoth neck with roasted maple, ebony and jumbo stainless frets
I tend to play the II chord with a major third. Maybe because I come from a bluegrass background where the II chord is typically a dominant. Wow I learned a lot from this lesson myself. Great lesson! Honored
Thank you Kirk! It means a lot to get your thumbs up on it! 🙏🎸

Amazing ! If I could ... I would give you two Likes.
GRACIAS
Perfeito!!! Obrigado
That chord progression with the F7 has some bits of Brain Damsge in it(pink floyd)
Ridiculously cool “active tab” technology. Did you create this yourself? It’s awesome.
very good

Great lesson and great discover, thank you for introducing Kirk!
Please check out Kid Ramos, a lesson about him would be amazing!!!
Hey Gary, excellent video. How would you feel about doing a Cornell Dupree video? He was Kirks primary rhythm influence.
How about a Josh Smith breakdown?
try these strings "DR Strings Pure Blues Pure Nickel Wrap Round Core 9-42" they are a lot easier to bend then the normal electric guitar strings! I've never broken one

Great work with these videos. Would love to see a lesson dissecting some Eric Gales. Is that a partscaster?
yes! I love parts casters :D The one in the video is a mexican fender body with loaded pickguard pulled from an American Professional strat (2 shawbuckers) and a warmoth neck with roasted maple, ebony and jumbo stainless frets

It is also called a G11 Chord
Now, I know him !!!! rs
I tend to play the II chord with a major third. Maybe because I come from a bluegrass background where the II chord is typically a dominant. Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out and Don’t Advertise Your Man sound to my ears to have a major II chord

7.01 It will put Fadd9 also ...but it's a detail!!lol
What color guitar is Kirk playing in this!?
sorry if this was answered but if we are trying to play to a backing track what key would it be in? thanks
Hes also the brother of the strongest man alive!
One thing I can’t get is the rhythm, what would be playing underneath all of this solo stuff? I get the chords and everything just not when he changes, any help appreciated!
