Really nice video. Thanks a lot. But I have a question concering the treatment of the uremic acidosis. I completely agree on giving HCO3- but isn't it because the kidney has a retention of the H+ (diminished elimination of protons) and therefore you have to give HC03- to compensate for it (and not that the kidney cannot reabsorb HC03- as illustrated).
Thank you for the great work! btw there seem to be an error at about 29:38, the 1° situation should be Adrenal insufficiency/Addison's disease instead of "Adrenal adeoma"?
Merhaba. Öncelikle emekleriniz, çabanız için teşekkür ediyorum. Videolarınız çok güzel. Acaba dil seçenekleri arasına Türkçe'yi ekleyebilir misiniz? Kolaylıklar diliyorum.💐
Most benign adrenal adenomas do not produce any hormones (and are therefore nonfunctioning by definition). Less commonly they can be what you’re describing - they can be functioning and would secrete a hormone - it could be aldosterone, it could be cortisol, it could be epinephrine (this is a pheochromocytoma). In short, most adrenal adenomas don’t increase aldosterone production - only some do!
Emergency medical doctors, internal medical doctors mostly....really depends on the cause of which there are many but it's mostly these two types of doctors
@@warbler1984thank you so much!! Yeah my cause is definitely Diabetes. I am 90% sure I am suffering from Diabetic Ketoacidosis sometimes and Anaerobic sugar metabolism(Lactic Acidosis) other times. What i am starting to learn is that going to regular doctors you get "10 minute visits" where they just prescribe you more snd more medicines. As I get older, wiser and more financially stable I am leaning more towards Concierge Care where you spend more time with doctor. These videos and your reply are giving me ideas what I need to address during my longer Concierge care visits! I do have an internist, so that makes me happy I am on a better path!! Thanks for you help!!
Someone who has a blood pH issue usually needs to be in the hospital, so most healthcare providers treat it often if they’re seeing patients in the hospital.
please do other topics. you already did topics like acid-bas disorder, hypokalemia and many more in the past so no need to repeat them. please touch on other topics like ENT, ortho.... much appreciated though

Doesn’t adrenal adenoma increase rather than decrease aldosterone production? Same as diabetes?
