    80,000br. is not expensive. that's like a 2bed apartment in US 1$=57birr. . . so the monthly rent for this house is around $1,400. The average shoebox apt. in LA is $1k+

    • @princesslivingfree
      @princesslivingfree  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      That’s true. I’m saying it’s expensive in Ethiopia.

    • @ikqmdfyslcbe
      @ikqmdfyslcbe 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      That is extremely expensive for Ethiopians. Their wage is not in dollars. The average Ethiopian makes less than $1 per day.

    • @dondada3220

      The black market exchange rate is 122.50, which means $653 USD.
      Almost no one uses the official exchange rate.

      @@ikqmdfyslcbe I know that but I thought she said she was looking for a place for someone who's coming from America. She didn't say buying at first but renting so I didn't know if the move is permanent or just a visit. For someone based in the US not so expensive.

    I think these houses are designed for the upper class, right? The rooms are spacious, but it's evident that none of the houses have been professionally finished. There is a lot of work, especially in the bathrooms, kitchen, floors, corners, and windows that needs to be reworked properly by qualified individuals.

    • @princesslivingfree
      @princesslivingfree  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Unfortunately, this is a common problem with rentals in Ethiopia. Home owners take short cuts when they know they’ll be renting out. If you want perfection, you’re likely going to have to build a home yourself.

    No wonder they are rentals the owners build this houses with tiny bedrooms and no proper house design with a low cost then give it a high rental cost,thats why in Ethiopia you need to build your own house am pretty sure the house that the owner lives in looks way much better than this😂most rentals here are ugly

    It is so funny coming from the west and paying so much money in Africa, and you do not even have enough garden space for children to play, let alone a car garage. It's ridiculed that they are being so cheap with their space. A complex looking like jails. Sister, please, with all due respect, upgrade your camera skills. It's been a while since you are on TH-cam. I appreciate the information you provide.

    • @addisababanazareth1525
      @addisababanazareth1525 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      everyday kids in Ethiopia can play in their compound. In Europe or other developed countries, most of the time kids stay in the house, they do not play outside in their compound. So, as long as you have small playing place, kids play outside in the compound in Ethiopia. So, it is way far from jail.
      To me it is good to touch the soil in my compound. Touching my plants makes happy. Everyday breathing new air.

    My advice is, please don't invest on property in Ethiopia. It's a failed state with an over inflated property value!
    On top of that your safety in the city is not guarantied (even the gov't security apparatus is out there robbing people
    ).

      Ethiopia a failed state? I am South South African and I've heard the same about my country.. Can you tell us the definition of a failed state? Is the US failed states, seeing there's massive homelessness and rising crime and poverty there? Be a fair judge for once.. I follow a few very good Ethiopian vloggers and I've never seen anything that comes close to Ethiopia being a failed state unless you are talking about what many parts of the world are experiencing today, Ethiopia and South Africa including..
