  • In this video we make the shorts to match the classic comic book look of Black Panther.
I introduce the glue and “ladder stitching” which are fundamental tools in my workflow!
I tried to make it not so fast paced for you guys to follow up.
Any question please leave it in the comments!

I really appreciate you showing your method all the way through. At this point it's hard to find someone that can or is willing to show me something I don't know. Thank you for teaching me a few things.

Such message encourages me. Thank you mate.
It’s hard to record all this with job, family and so on. This is basically free 😂 But I enjoy editing and well, the fun is about to start!! You will see when I start to mix materials and mold clay ;)
I will finish this series and evaluate what’s next. If I don’t gain enough inertia.. I’m not sure how much content I will be whiling to push.
People doesn’t treasure knowledge, it just requires a lot of time and energy and your partner in life needs to understand why you are recording a “toy” after 10pm 😂😂😂

My mom is a great sewer / sewing operator / former sewing department manager in Adidas but I never inherited her brilliance in sewing that's why I am facinated with people like you bro! Keep it up! Love your work by the way 😉 God bless

@@wilcapoeira Thank you! It's coming along slowly, but surely! I'm currently sculpting the head in ZBrush :)

@@lisaworlandbeautyconsultant that’s super nice. I left zbrush to hone up my basics with something I could touch, but I think it’s about time I incorporate it in my workflows. I’m a bit lazy now that I control this medium 😅

I'm surprised Mezco being such a popular toyline, yet there are few ppl giving out guides on how to sew figurines. Thanks for the video this'll definitely help me in my customs

There’s a lot involved past the sewing technique itself, patterns, fabrics, accessories. I hope I’m being able to show it all in my channel 😊
Mezco still has the peak in vinyl usage tho 😅

Do you prefer hand stitching vs machine?

    • @wilcapoeira
      @wilcapoeira  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Quick answer is I don’t own a sewing machine haha. Still, even with commissions I limit myself to 2-3 copies. To have a pattern you can sew eyes closed and get the fit you want takes several attempts and corrections. I’m usually thinking on a new project when I’m in a position to streamline the design and only then I would consider buying a sewing machine.
The other scenario where machine sewing would rock is designing a piece like a coat where the stitching is visible. I can’t do it as good looking as a machine.
Hand sewing will always be required for smaller details and is a nice skill to have tho
