I started my journey through lucid Dreaming as well 🙌🏽. It intrigued me so much and served as a starting point. For some reason I can't do it now or I can't do it too often like once I did. Please note that there is a difference between liberation and enlightenment. Enlightenment means you are aware of that pure awareness/consciousness. The term Homo Sapiens Sapiens literally means "wise man" or "man that is aware that he is aware." One who is enlightened has not attained liberation since he is still embodied and is subjected to the physical laws. But everything is equanimous to such a being. He treats pain and pleasure the same way. He is "liberated" in a sense but still wishes to remain in the body. The technical term for that being is "Jivan Mukta: being liberated while in the body." That's why Sadhguru says that for most people, the moment of enlightenment and liberation is the same as the body cannot handle the intensity of that peak experience/Samadhi and thus they decide to drop the body and leave. Unless, you have mastery over the 5 elements (Kriya Yoga), it is difficult to remain in the body when all Karmas has been dissolved. Now, this being has to create some intentional Karma in order to remain in the body. For example, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa (Vivekananda's Guru) consciously created a strong desire for food to the point of gluttony . That was his way of entangling himself and create further Karma just so he could stay in the body. An animal can be liberated but only a human can be enlightened simply because we have an intellect. Ultimate liberation means you are truly no more. You have completely dissolved into nothingness or Shiva or Purusha. That's why I prefer the term endarkenment instead of enlightenment. Negative terminology is closer to reality than some fanciful term that can lead to various false assumptions.
nice theory and philosophy based on reading too much, and experiencing nothing. everything you said is hearsay, rote learning at its best, trying to pass it off as knowledge.
Thank you!!! I was waiting for a long time for this. I suggested Swami Sarvapriyananda long back. All his sessions are amazing. He keeps it so simple that anyone can understand easily . Swami is a monk from the Shri Ramakrishna order same as Swami Vivekanada. Thank you for introducing me to Sri M, Robert Spira , Ram Dass etc. These came up as recommendations but I don't why I never clicked on them. I loved exploring more videos of theirs . They are all fantastic. Monks , Sadhus, Saints, Sanyasis in India all wear saffron , orange as it is auspicious on one level . Usually in our culture one thing I am learning is -there is never just one thing or 1 reason - there will inevitably be many many reasons and all of them valid .

First comes the 4 Vedas but being so complicated many ancient sages started deciphering these vedas in their own simplistic version which was known as Upanishads. But even the Upanishads were hard to understand, so one of these sages named Ved Vyasa realizing that people from our era won't understand so he wrote Bhagvatam/Bhagvat Gita to simply it and Ved Vyasa is also the author of all the 4 vedas.
@@LearnWithUsOriginals Small correction : No one in the world knows who wrote VEDAS. Their knowledge was passed on to the next generation through oral teachings. Great sage VED VYASA only compiled them to make their study easier. Bhagwat Gita was narrated to Arjun by Lord Krishna himself, Ved Vyasa only wrote it down. He isn't the author.
@@NidhiSharma-tc1rq True.. Vedas are eternal but Have you forgotten about the incident between Ved Vyasa and Lord Ganesha! How the Vedas from words were transformed into pages? And again yes Lord Krishna spoke the Bhagavatam to Arjun but who wrote it? Since Newton discovered Gravity does that mean gravity wasn't there before Newton? So in that sensee Vedas was already there like gravity but it came to realization after it was wrote.
@@NidhiSharma-tc1rq If you wanna know the ultimate source of Vedas.. It comes from 'Lord Shiva' who rules 16 dimensions or worlds or realms. Brahma rules 14 and Vishnu rules 15. No one, literally no one can reach the 16th dimension., you can at best reach 15th loka.. Vaikunta Loka(realm of Lord Vishnu) through Bhakti yoga but 16th.? The realm of the source of everything and end of everything? No one can reach cause we as humans can only revolve around these 14 realms. (God of War just came to my head) hahahaha..
@@spiritualbadass4813 your comment meant as if Ved Vyas was the author of Vedas and Gita. But it's false. Nobody knows about the author of Vedas, there could be many, Ved Vyas just put them together. Same goes for GITA which is the word of Lord KRISHNA.

"I realize the world is just light and shadow and that shadow is just light" is similar to yin and yang and how in the yang is yin and vice versa. Beautiful thing and its so useful in everyday life to remember there can always be something positive out of a negative and vice versa. Much love 🙏
Liberation essentially implies return to the source- whatever that is. Most humans, in their subjective experience exist as a fragmented self, alone in existence. Liberation is simply realizing, in experience (not just imagining, or intellectually deducting so), that this is an illusion, and actualize one's unity with rest of existence. The dualit is self/other. Non-dual principle is a rejection of this perceived separation from existence which only exists at the level of the mind (so, not physically or energy-wise) and methods on how to overcome it.
5:23 (As far as I know) The Vedas are divided in four parts, which are - 1. Samhitās, 2. Brāhmanas, 3.Āranyakas and 4. Upanishads. Upanishads are called Vedānta (Veda+anta (end)) both literally and figuratively. Literally 'cause Upanishads are at the end of the Vedas and figuratively 'cause they form the ultimate knowledge of the Vedas.
Oh man 😃😃, this was so freaking amazing !!! I know that Swami Sarvapriyananda is one of the most requested in the comments but I never searched for him personally but he is so awesome oh my God !! The way he started giving the clear background to the Upanishads, so that it would arouse the curiosity and interest even in a beginner is simply mind blowing ❤️❤️. Now I think can curb my desire for a video on Dhanurvedam for a while 😂😂. Fast folks !! I want the 2nd part 🤗🤗🙏🙏 and hope that you will do more on him. However one thing must be noted, that in the beginning he said that if you understand the Upanishad and "realize it in your life" you will get liberation. The stress is on inner experience, just like Sadhguru. So the moral of the story is : the fundamental truths of cosmos are the same and eternal, though expressed differently by different masters 🤗🤗.
Swami-ji is amazing! So many lectures.. check out his Playlist about Bhagavad Gita or Drig Drishya Viveka. He also has an Ask Swami Q&A Playlist where he answers many Questions from the Internet Audience. He is like a walking Library!

Sadhguru: A child once asked me, “Is life a dream or a reality?” I replied, “Life is a dream but the dream is true.” It is I guess a similar way but putting it in a completely opposite intellectually. After all word play can be done in a thousand ways or in a million stories.
Hey! Ramana Maharshi's surgery was actually with localized anesthesia which is uncommon for tumor operating procedures like the procedure done on Bhagavan's arm. It's usually full anesthesia which is similar to sleep. The doctor was taken aback by the Maharshi as the level of calmness in that room was boundless and the doctor felt he had more attachment with his patient's arm that the patient had with his own arm lol. But when he was 16 and living in the basement of a temple when he had just come to Tiruvannamalai, he did spend weeks in the dark basement where insects and small rats ate away some part of his thigh and even though he was fully aware of what was happening and aware of the pain, the happiness and bliss was so high these felt like nothing important to him.
Yeah I like "realization" and "self realization" because they imply it's something we already have and we just need to realize what we are/what we already have. Which is true. When it happened to me I just started laughing and was like "oh shit! that?!?" Because it's it's so ubiquitous it's easy to overlook. It's kinda like if 2 fish could talk and one was trying to describe water to the other. Maybe the one got caught and lifted up into the air at some point. So he has something to compare water against. The other has always been underwater. So the one is just saying stuff like "it's everything, it's all around us" and it's not really making sense to the other. But when the other finally realizes water he'll be like "oh shit of course!" And he'll never not know it from then on. Now I'm not comparing consciousness to water in the fish story. That's not my point. Just comparing the reaction upon realizing both of them
@@LearnWithUsOriginals seems weird or conceited to say yes I am, but yeah lol. I'll give you the story kinda From 97 to 2000 I used to see Phish a lot and take acid or MDMA and dance down on the aisle between lawn and pavilion where all the "heads" danced and I'd go into this zone I'd call "hyper awareness" where everything slowed down and I'd notice my thoughts and breathing. It gave me an idea of what meditation is. Even though I suck at sitting still and meditating. Never put too much thought into it because I was the LSD I assumed. Even though it was the most fun I've ever had in my life I did get in that zone momentarily a few times while I was running in like 2009. Anyways Phish broke up and then got together again for 2 year. I saw a few shows in 2003 and decided that was enough. They came back in 2009 till now but I haven't gone. 2011 I happened upon that Ram Das Ramana Maharshi vid. I wasn't into that stuff at all really but everything about Ramana drew me to him. So I ordered a few books and would read them occasionally and just kinda contemplate what "I" am stuff Then in Oct 2013 I was stuck in traffic blasting some Electric Wizard "Dopethrone" album and just kinda random asked myself "to whom to my thoughts occur?" I answered the obvious answer, "to me" And then boom! As soon as thought about what that "me" is I was instantly back in that "hyper aware" state. But now I had a little more reference. So I started thinking about stuff but stayed in the state and was more just observing the thoughts even though I was obviously having the thoughts. I dunno, there was separateness between me and my thoughts which usually isn't there. I lasted the rest of the day, gradually wore off. I was even hearing this background "hum" noise everywhere. Not just because of the super loud music either lol. Anyways, after that I started researching Quantum Mechanics and the relationship to consciousness. The whole observer and the observed thing. Logically, something can't observe itself. But I observe my mind. And now to a cool thing! I found this same "who am I" lecture you guys are watching. I think it was January 2014. And it was perfect for me. All the logical arguments I'd been thinking about in the previous months were addressed by Swamiji I subscribed to all the Various Vedanta Society channels and watched tons of Swami Sarvapriyananda's video. He's still by far my favorite speaker. I did watch a lot of Rupert Spira stuff too. But Swami's logical style more fits my personality. Lastly, I still suck at meditating in silence. I really need to start running again. I'm not in that state all the time like Ramana or some great like that. But yeah, ever since my realization experience there's a knowing in me that's always here. You know what I mean, it's like one of those puzzle things where once you see the hidden word you can't ever not see it
So yeah the "hyper aware state" is just Flow. Not super rare or anything. The crazy thing to me is how I got there from just asking myself a question, answering it, and then pondering what that answer actually means. That all happened in a split second. Those people who interacted with Ramana Maharshi and say how just his gaze threw them into a state like that. They must've felt a similar kind of amazement Edit: I wasnt on any substances either. Just had the music blasting as loud as possible in my car while stuck in traffic and was kinda slowing moving my head around. I suppose I was "headbanging" but it was slow, doom metal. Song was "I, Witchfinder" by Electric Wizard
Thats the best way explain it. If you've experienced Flow before, and I mean like SuperFlow for a decent period of time. Now just imagine getting snapped into that same Flow from just randomly thinking a question and then thinking an answer. And then staying in that Flow all afternoon and evening as you go about a normal day. You have thoughts just like normal but you're not identitying with them like usual. I should work at it and try and get back there. I think my best bet would be long runs. In silence, I quit bringing my phone or earbuds while I run a few years ago. I think this should be understandable. Although I am in no way always in the flow state. The realization that instantly threw me into Flow has never left me
I can relate to you mr white shirt....I am watching your video for the first time so don't know your name. But the lucid dreaming part was highly relatable
There are 4 Vedas, namely Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda. Each Veda is divided into 4 parts namely the Samhita, Brahmana, Aranyaka and Upanishad. The Samhitas contain the hymns, the Brahamanas contain the ritualistic interpretation of the hymns, the Aryanaka discusses the mystical and meditative interpretation, and the upanishads contain the philosophical discussions. As the upanishads appear at the end of the vedas their collective wisdom is called 'Vedanta' or the conclusion of the vedas.
Sadhgur explains in a Sadhguru Exclusive video, that the color orange / saffron comes from the wandering monks' practice of dipping their cloths in fine red soil (usually sieved ) mixed into water. This is a practice done to "get closer to earth", I think. The cloths are really white, they just acquire the muddy color from, well, mud. But these days anyone in the ascetic path dons saffron-colored cloths which are store-bought, and not really prepared by dipping in muddy water.
Friends I get surprised to see your fast progress on the spiritual pathway. Amazing journey....you are dragged by almighty on this pathway. God's blessing.

One theory is - Orange/ saffron is the Color of Fire - all things that enter fire become the color of fire, yet the fire stays unchanged. Metaphorical in nature - the purity of fire also represents the Celibacy vow taken by the Sanyasi. Could be many other reasons.
We are dreaming whether we are awake or asleep only difference is manual mode(during awake ) and auto mode (during asleep ) yet in both the situations its our mind making up things using accumulated information.
Vedas are the most ancient text (spiritual) in india. Upanishads came after it. These were written to better explain hidden ideas of vedas. Some Upanishads are like commentaries. Some other conveys ideas in the form of story.
Guys please note this : whenever indian philosophers are telling a state of experience as false, they are referring the temporary ness of that state as false but not like horn of hare.
Good recommendation. 👍👍 In a video Sadhguru explains the significance of the colour blue. And, I read the book "The Ancient Science of the Mantras" by Om Swami in which he explains how colours vary from Sadhana to Sadhana. For example: the ones who are into Devi Sadhana wear red clothings.
There might be some scriptural explanation on orange but as far as I interpret, usually the sky is orange at both the sunrise and sunset. Sunrise is for Birth and Sunset is to Death... and this cycle goes on and on until the earth (body) and sun(soul) exist.
It's not orange. It's the colour of soil. How they make it is dip the white clothes in pure soil and bring them to that color. The idea is to be reminded that you are soil and be close to soil.

It is the color of the earth. So basically since centuries the people on spiritual path used to color their clothes with earth(the mud) so that they realise that this body is earth. Our body is just earth so in centuries this became a color for people in spiritual paths.

4 vedas are main books of Hinduism and the language of Vedas is not that easy for everyone to understand so Upanishads are explanation of vedas and there are soooo many Upanishads explaining different parts of vedas Then puranas are are Upanishads in form of some stories so everyone can learn from this stories. Itihaasas(ramayan, mahabharat) are the epics that have all teachings of vedas and Upanishads And in last bhagwat gita the dialogue between krishna and arjun is like milk 😂 "All spiritual, religious and all wisdomfull scriptures all around the world are cows, krishna is milker and gita is milk" Hare Krishna 🙏

Orange represents renounciation... It represents fire of renounciation that has counsmed everything of the person wearing it. And courage to walk the path of truth.
also the followers of vedanta excusively wear orange
@@oliloc2692 yes ofcourse... And some other followers of different paths also adopt orange.
Ohhhhh that’s incredible, thank yu for sharing that is super helpful. Much love
Mmmmm that’s a super simply and nice way of putting it, thank you for this! Much love

Thank you brothers for introducing these gem of Gurus to people like me who were unaware of them. 🙏🙏🙏
❤️❤️❤️❤️so glad, it’s this community, not us! Much love

“Mind is a Projection machine” - You nailed it
Sadhguru: A child once asked me, “Is life a dream or a reality?” I replied, “Life is a dream but the dream is true.” It is I guess a similar way but putting it in a completely opposite intellectually. After all word play can be done in a thousand ways or in a million stories.
Love this quote 🙏❤️
The Swami's of Ramakrishna Mission are the brightest minds , that of IITS

I felt pain in my dream many time. Some of that pain was there for sometimes after waking up. Mind can do fuzzy feelings
Upanishads are secondary texts, primary texts are Vedas , watch brief history of Vedas by project shivoham, to know more
That's saffron, in India every colour has its own meaning like saffron is the colour of giving up the earthly relation
Nice explain...👍✌️🙏💐🤝🗺️🌏🌎🌍👽
Just comparing the reaction upon realizing both of them
Oooooo that’s really interesting! Are you saying that you are realized? Thanks for sharing!
@@LearnWithUsOriginals seems weird or conceited to say yes I am, but yeah lol. I'll give you the story kinda
From 97 to 2000 I used to see Phish a lot and take acid or MDMA and dance down on the aisle between lawn and pavilion where all the "heads" danced and I'd go into this zone I'd call "hyper awareness" where everything slowed down and I'd notice my thoughts and breathing.
So I ordered a few books and would read them occasionally and just kinda contemplate what "I" am stuff
Then in Oct 2013 I was stuck in traffic blasting some Electric Wizard "Dopethrone" album and just kinda random asked myself "to whom to my thoughts occur?" I answered the obvious answer, "to me" And then boom!
They must've felt a similar kind of amazement
Edit: I wasnt on any substances either.

Ohhh thank you 🙏🙏 so amazing!!

One theory is - Orange/ saffron is the Color of Fire - all things that enter fire become the color of fire, yet the fire stays unchanged. Metaphorical in nature - the purity of fire also represents the Celibacy vow taken by the Sanyasi. Could be many other reasons.
guys Alan Watts wraps this whole thing so nicely - its almost a miracle.
We are dreaming whether we are awake or asleep only difference is manual mode(during awake ) and auto mode (during asleep ) yet in both the situations its our mind making up things using accumulated information.
Mmmmmm barsss
Vedas are the most ancient text (spiritual) in india. Upanishads came after it. These were written to better explain hidden ideas of vedas. Some Upanishads are like commentaries. Some other conveys ideas in the form of story.
Guys please note this : whenever indian philosophers are telling a state of experience as false, they are referring the temporary ness of that state as false but not like horn of hare.

Orange or saffron color is the symbol of Sacrifice and Bravery
Color of a rising sun.
Why Orange....
Watch Sadhguru's video on colours. Fascinating
Good recommendation. 👍👍
In a video Sadhguru explains the significance of the colour blue.
And, I read the book "The Ancient Science of the Mantras" by Om Swami in which he explains how colours vary from Sadhana to Sadhana. For example: the ones who are into Devi Sadhana wear red clothings.
Ohhhh that sounds so cool thank yu for the suggestion Keshav!
Thank you 🙏
saffron is colour of rising sun and set, and sun is the primary deity in RIG VEDA ( oldest scripture in the world )
There might be some scriptural explanation on orange but as far as I interpret, usually the sky is orange at both the sunrise and sunset. Sunrise is for Birth and Sunset is to Death... and this cycle goes on and on until the earth (body) and sun(soul) exist.
Woah that’s WILD. Thank you for sharing Rav

4 vedas are main books of Hinduism and the language of Vedas is not that easy for everyone to understand so
Upanishads are explanation of vedas and there are soooo many Upanishads explaining different parts of vedas
Then puranas are are Upanishads in form of some stories so everyone can learn from this stories.
Itihaasas(ramayan, mahabharat) are the epics that have all teachings of vedas and Upanishads
And in last bhagwat gita the dialogue between krishna and arjun is like milk 😂
"All spiritual, religious and all wisdomfull scriptures all around the world are cows, krishna is milker and gita is milk"
