Well explained. I find myself going back to Roland exclusively. I have a Jupiter X and thought about Getting the MV-1
I\ve just gotten myself an M2 iPad Pro (the Bigger one) and thought I'd try the free version of Roland Zenbeats after seeing it in your videos, but I wanted to be able to use my other AUV3 plugins, so I only paid $9.99 to unlock that & everything else for that price and I don't regret it at all! Thanks for going in-depth a little into Zenbeats!!
You could use GB for recording or Neon editor by 4pockets, or a multitrack

What I miss is an option, that I can transfer ZR1 record custom sample kit into a ZC1 Drum kit, because than I can tweak it more in zenology and load that in a hardware like mc101. An other option could be, that Roland open the zenology for own sample import.
And yes, I can transfer the samples to the mc101 but for tweaking Sounds it’s faster and with a better overview in the zenology vst plug in for me :)
So I pretty much got Zenbeats figured out, but.... Now I want to purchase the Roland vt4 voice effect ( hardware )..... Using an audio interface how would I be able to record to a midi track inside Zen beats ??.... What would be the routing ?. Again thank you for all your previous help,.. love the videos.
Any update for hardware recording on all 16 channels? Keen for that myself
Does anyone else have problems with track freeze when using AUv3 plugins. A lot of times the audio breaks up or stops in the frozen tracks.
Thanks for posting this. The fact that Roland hasn't posted much about it is concerning, or at the least lazy. Also I've seen there are updates (iOS) but there are no notes on what they did. They just copy and pasted the original description. Again, concerning and/or lazy. For me the current deal breaker is the slicer doesn't work, or at least not consistently. I got it to work once out of the many times I tried. Many times when I hit the edit button the slice button doesn't even appear. On my most recent attempts I tap the edit button, tab the waveform on the pad, and it just disables edit. The edit window doesn't open. I went with the subscription but if they don't fix this before the next billing I'm going to cancel.
I know Thaler are really working hard on fixing all the bugs. I had a weird bug where everything closed. I write to them and they were able to find what was the problem and include in into the next update. All that in a about 3 days.
@@Nu-trix I contacted support and they've been responsive. I'm mainly a Live and Logic user. My attraction to Zenbeats is it being cross platform. I'm not even much of a slice user, but since most plugins aren't cross platform I want to try to work within Zenbeats' ecosystem as much as possible and in that case I think I would use slicing a lot more.
How to do I connect my iPhone with ZENBEATS to my Akia MPC one
You can have a MIDI and Audio interface connected to the iPad than connect it to the MPC one using cables. You could also connect using a USB cable between the MPC One and the iPad (using the usb adapter for from Apple ) and test it. I don’t have an MPC one, so I cannot test it.
I wanted to import a midi file that has multi track midi into zenbeats but it just imports only the first track from the midi file, can you please guide me how to do?
It is very interesting why it is impossible to record from keyboards built into plug-ins. For example, the same Animoog Z with a cool keyboard and you can't record from it in Zenbeats. I also tried using midi effects (Atom 2). Does not record. And the midi effects themselves break down. In general, the impression is certainly not very good. And it's inconvenient that you can't move the windows. I hope everything will be more convenient and stable in the future.
I’ll have to check out if there is a way. First, the plugin has to be able to send, then the DAW has to permit it.
@@Nu-trix If something works out, it will be great. I have already tried both through Atom and in a different way. Does not work. The support service replied that they might do it in the future. Maybe you'll find a way.
2 quick questions please. Any idea what the polyphony count is on an iPadPro? My Jupiter Xm is 256 notes. Since I have Cloud membership ALL my SDZ packs , 106 currently are available to me? Ok bonus question when I create custom SDZ banks can I import those as well?

If you talk about playing Zencore sounds in Zenbeats using ZC1 synth. ZenBeats can run unlimited amount of tracks : only limited by the cpu of the device. I’m guessing you can play more polyphony on an iPad M1 then on the Jupiter xm, but it’s just a guess. And you cannot edit your sounds in the ZC1.
Yes you can import the SDX bank in ZC1.

There is no synthesizer. There is synthesizer samples. I feel like the entire thing exist to sell you samples. I went over the drums. I couldn't find a drum kit that I want to use. So I guess I have to use different drum kits on different traks. That's eventually ok. I still try to find the usefulness of this app. Can I do anything there i can't do in another program? Or at least is it easier or saving time in any way?
Kinda lost my Lust for a Roland TR8S after this update. Even the Verselab MV-1 is like ummmm why bother :) might try MIDI Learn to use my TR8 as hardware controller with it tho
Nu-Trix maybe you can answer this for me because it seems like roland don’t want to give me answer, any way on this new update is asking me to purchase again the unlock (one time purchase) that i already paid for because which again its described as a one time purchase and i have paid for the unlock almost a year ago so if i already paid for it why do i have to paid for it again or do you think its just a bug issue, anyway i hate it because now its like i have the demo version once again on this new update, because i doesn’t let open up the drums when i press the zdrum icon or when i press some other options, i mean the buy the unlock popup it get active mostly every where i click which i don’t see happening on your zenbeats

I suggest you disconnected your ZenBeats from your Roland Cloud account and reconnect.
The unlock is for each version. You can still use the drums but don’t have access to the new slicing feature.

because that is what i wanted to know, so now the problem i have with it is that they made the app feel like im using the demo version because mostly every where that i have click it will activate the unlock popup, like for example, the auv3 browser which has the unlock popup link right next to the to the X(close), so almost every time i try to close the AU browser window i hit the unlock popup link because its right next to the X, same thing goes with the drum, which yes i can still use it but the unlock link it’s everywhere on the drum which is very very very frustrating and annoying because is like and feels like im using the zenbeats demo version trying to force me to buy the new unlock version, which i don’t mind paying for the new features but i don’t like to be forced to buy an app or feature, especially on a full version that have paid for, basically a new features should always be in the background where it doesn’t interrupted what you already pay for.. i apologize for writing my frustration on this comment because its not your fault.
but any way thank you clearing what i wasn’t sure about !

i actually do understand now that the problem was that i have to paid for the extra new update features which is perfectly fine having to paid for this type of big updates,
but what upsets me a bit well a lot, is how they push it all the way to making it feel like im back to zenbeat demo version, they could’ve just add every related new feature and internal plugin that we have to paid on the in app purchases with out interrupting what we all ready paid for on past versions,
instead of forcing the users to paid for the new feature by adding a click for the popup unlock window almost every where i would have to click, again making it feel like im back to the demo zenbeat version ...
anyway my bad Nu Trix , for writing this on here its just that some app update can actually get me frustrated me specifically on apps that i do used a lot,
developers and the appstore should give us the option of returning back to any other version that actually works the best for the user and device, because it will definitely get them more positive and way way less negative reviews and way way less customers asking for refunds which equals less headaches for everyone.

What’s new is the many bugs.
They already have new updates out 3.0.3. Fixes a lot of my original bugs.
@@Nu-trix fixed none of mine , finding more every time I use it, the latest is that the sequence page only opens when it feels like it. I actually fixed one of my own , I was unable to use midi plugins , the list was empty , it turns out this is the only audio app on iOS that has to scan the plugins, but it has to do it twice, once for audio plugins and then again for midi plugins. Think they should stick to hardware.
@@wul01 just use other DAW , problem solved , personally I love ZB3 , especially on iOS :)

@@wul01 get a refund , or use it now that most bugs are fixed (only issue I've seen so far is with some specific AU synths, but the devs are super active). I understand the frustration , but 3.0 launched some days ago , most apps have bugs on launch , Roland has already updated 3 times ZB3 , so I'm positive :)
i'm so dissapointed with Roland software. i am ROASTING Roland, wherever they put up updates. People, like me, who purchase/love Roland hardware been waiting for something like Overbridge, FOREVER. And what we get instead, is a lame DAW that has ZERO integration with Roland's hardware machines, and lacking BASIC functionality (sidechain, per track midi delay compensation) Roland NEEDS to invest more in software devs and LESS in middle management money men. I DONT WANT an advert for sound packs, every time i launch my drum computer editor and/or DAW. Elektron overbridge is AMAZING, that Roland can't even come close with their "AIRA" line is sad and unbelievable. Elektron doesn't spam us with adverts every time we use their amazing software, Roland! The ONLY reason i don't abandon my Roland hardware for Elektron is TR8S and MC707 are workflow that gels in my head and i'm a fan of this format.
i think youTubers like Nu-Trix are too nice about how this is a front end to sell more content, because it doesn't have anything better than any other DAW other than being cross platform. but Ableton is 100 times better, so i would never use it on my mac or PC.
When these guys switched from stagelight to now rolandzenbeats I seriously roasted them as well cause I spent money on alot of packs and bundles and they switched up without telling their audience so I couldn't sample my already bought sounds I have to re buy them ? Hell naw I'm not doing that and I was with them faithfully from day one release of stagelight so I feel your pain bro .
I have the latest version....my conclusion...don't buy it...leave it for little kids.
