Very nice patio Tom. The sealer definitely adds so much to the overall look. Let Austin know that his favourite hockey player was claimed by the Seattle Kraken last night in the expansion draft
Hey Emily... you know I'm STILL trying to catch up to this channel, but I want to thank you for what you do in getting these uploaded. I know the footage comes in day-to-day, with several projects worked on in one day... but it would be really nice if there was some way to keep all the projects at one property together somehow. It is just AMAZING how the work your family does transforms a property.... and it would be nice to see it from beginning to end. I don't know, maybe that's too much work on your end, but I hope you'll do this for your family owned properties at least - you know, Tommy's, Steve's, your Dad's... and if you ever do a project at your house... THAT would be cool too.
- Your sprayer does a nice job. If always used the cheap plastic ones which had a small spray stream. - I’d like you to demonstrate a typical sealer application in a concrete garage that’s never had a seal coating. In a previous home I applied, using a roller, a name brand sealer. Following the directions, the sealer was almost sticky when dried. Maybe I applied too thick. I’m now reluctant to apply a sealer to current garage which I keep very clean. Btw, I enjoy your videos and the team (family) that work with you. Mike from Indianapolis.
Tom, when you “add secondary color”, are you using powered antique/ release and dissolving that in liquid release? Couple questions. Why not use a permatique in water? Why are you using powdered release in liquid release? And if you like the liquid release and poweded release, why not just put that mix in your sprayer and spray it just before you stamp? Let me know I’m going to try to incorporate this into our process
You can’t use liquid release and powder released mixed together while stamping everything sticks turns into a gooey mess. After we stamp with clear liquid we will then dissolve the color antiquing into a batch of liquid release and apply you get a better color combination than the water-based permit teak you still have to clean the next. Before you apply the sealer.
Tom, thank you so much for the insight and all the time you put into your videos and your craft! Thanks again. Work is flawless, hustle respects hustle. RESPECT
@@Concretewiththehauses so that is to say that you use a butterfield clear release only while stamping, then when done stamping, you dissolve butterfield powdered release agent into the liquid release and then spray atop, just as you would if it were the next day with Permatique. How about when you used rolled slate texture? It seems as though you use colored release when doing your rolled texture.
You guys do Awesome work, everyone has a job to do and it flows well. I notice it seems you take the forms off the same day as the pour, how long is a typical wait to remove the forms? Thanks and keep the videos coming, all are very interesting! Dave
You have to seal it very early in the morning when it isn't windy. Thin coats. It usually isn't the sealer. Its the application time and method. Here in Colorado we use dayton superior j25.
I started following you after seeing you do Mike Morgan's patio. I had no idea you could do such things with concrete. I have to say this patio looks great and very much like natural stone. I do have one question. Do the "expansion groves" you add have to be straight across the concrete or could they somehow follow the natural pattern of the stamp? Those appear to be the one thing that detracts from the natural appearance. This one looks great, just curious.
Well done on the pavement! It looks beautiful and your tutorial was very informative. I also work with this type of pavement and see it as a work of art. I subscribed to your channel and would love for you to check out my stamped concrete projects.
That slate look is so beautiful.
Another great video
We just love that look on concrete. We want to do some of that on our home in the future. 👍👍👍❤️
Outstanding work. It is a pleasure watching your team working in sync.
Way more than spruce up the backyard. That pour came out amazing. Great looking job and awesome video!
Another top of the line professional job and well done vid. Be safe and be careful.

I love this channel!! Is that Caleb??? Hey bud!!
Yes it is Caleb! He loves to join in on the videos.
Very good content
Nice!👍🏻
I like it, like it a lot, Tom thank you for sharing! How do you decide whether you use the powder release or liquid?
came out great.is that a normal sprayer or a special one for that sealer
Tom looks great 👍. Your crew does good work 👍👍
So where do you get one of those shields? It looks pretty specialized 😉😏
Do you have a picture of what the area looked like after the sealer had dried - assume it lightens up again?
Great Work! The slate looks amazing. This gives me some ideas for my property. You don't happen to travel to California, do you? 😊
I noticed you spray a color right after the stamping. Did you also have a color in the concrete? What product do you use? I would like to try it.
I'll ask since no one else would. How much would a job identical to this cost?
I do not remember exactly six to 8

@Concretewiththehauses Thank you for the transparency. It really helps to know when managing home improvements jobs.
What did u do around the wood post did you use an expansion joint?
Yes

What colorant and release did you use?! We are looking to get this done this week.
Yes, would be good to know which products they used.
Looks awesome! #purplecollarlife

The concrete That u using is that a special mix? Or 1 part Portland 2parts sand and 3 party’s gravel?
What sealer do you use that doesn’t bubble in the sun??? I haven’t had much luck maintaining my stamped pad without some bubbling.

Kaleb needs to do the outros...👍
What about the Morgans building floor?
No release used in this job??
What kind of liquid color do you use right after the stamping?

Which Ashler slate stamp is this one?
Majestic ashlar
What is the liquid you’re spraying?
What liquid is that
Liquid release it keeps Concrete from sticking to the stamps
Liquid? Diesel?
Liquid release I think you mean
Better be careful a buddy had the handle slip on sealer can and it fell and broke his toe when he was in his socks
