What about Edge?
The first ad to pop up during this video was for Google Chrome 😂
I feel that none of these browsers are as good as the one I am experiencing on my homepage.
Chrome is Not open source, its engine that it's built on 'Chromium' is open source, and it's actually a browser itself, just way more private than google chrome.
Exactly
What is your option of Duck Duck Go?
@@JMHobday google collects data on your searches.. DDG does not.
@@Luckyrider1958 startpage better
2:31 Tor is not based on Chromium. It's based on Firefox.
I feel that none of these browsers are as good as the one I am experiencing on my homepage.
Good vid. I think some caveats should've been made more clear though. Calling chrome Open Source deserved an asterisk since the parts of it that aren't open source (the google parts on top of chromium) are the parts that are a greater concern for privacy/security. I think it's also important to point out that firefox cad, and is often set up to not really be very private at all. Sure its a little more than chrome by default, but to really benefit from it, you've gotta do some tweaking, or use a resource like betterfox or arkenfox. On the other end though, Firefox CAN be hardened *significantly* on its own, and with responsible use of plugins.
It's crazy someone put this video out with this many glaring mistakes and people are probably just believing it. Calling Chrome open source is like calling Biden brilliant or Trump humble.
he was talking about chromium at that time, most of the browsers use chromium
I feel that none of these browsers are as good as the one I am experiencing on my homepage.
Thanks for the tips. I wasn't aware of of all tracking.
??? How do you rectify the TIME (clock) that LibreWolf shows on various web sites (ebay, amazon etc.). It is never the correct one.
Why was Duck Duck Go not included?
Bc it’s meant to be secure but it’s made by the us government designed by the us government
Isn't the Tor browser a modified Firefox, and not Chromium as shown at 2:36?
Yes
never really heard of Libre wolf
Thanks for Guidance
Brave have script blocking as well as tracker, ad and fingerprint blocking.
but brave unables to handle most websites due to these features

I have a question for iPhone or iPad users, do you think that by installing a browser other than Safari you are simply using a "skin" and are you really using the same engine that powers Safari (WebKit)? I ask the question because I have seen this on several forums.
This used to be the case, but Apple recently did something that allows web browsers to use their own engine, like Firefox with Gecko.
FYI Bro, people who built Chromium were/are Firefox people hired temporarily by Google for that project. But the maintainer are Google people. 🙂
I had 22 years in I.T. from 1995 at 38 until retirement. My daily driver is Opera, but... I don't use the current Opera One. I use the last version before Opera One and have disabled the update module My Browser for banking and purchases is the Avast Secure Browser. Why don't you know about the Avast Secure Browser?
Avast Secure Browser is great and fast.
this video should be a little alarming with all the misses and incorrect info on some of the features ..Am I being to picky by thinking this video is not a great source for facts when it comes to making an educated personal decision ? I see you have year of IT work in your field and just curious if I'm being ridiculous and should over look all the little things many comments are pointing out .... especially bc I am new to all of this and I'm trying to educate myself on becoming more knowledgeable. with everything when it comes to using the internet and technology and the basics when it comes to are browsers that we use from the get-go... I just feel like this might be getting me off on the wrongs but even trying to gather some information before I start learning to code I mean I'm a brand brand new as in yesterday just picked up a book for beginners on coding and now I'm just kind of exploring different creators with content to where I could possibly start getting information that would help me learn more about the internet in about this topic as a whole
@@WhtePrivlageJesusFollowerWoman I think you are very wise to be wary of the information provided by these guys. I just left them a comment telling them that very thing. They should not be offering advice unless they actually know what they are talking about because people could end up with big problems on their devices. I didn't like the fact that they don't offer info about how to safely uninstall the app currently in use and install the app they are recommending. I blocked them. Good luck!
tor does not use chromium it is based on firefox geko . And firefox is not based on chromium. 2:30
THANK YOU
thank you sir
Pale moon is also a good broser, although it has kinda old look
Tnatsthe point its designed to look retro it looks coool
Did you say FF has a key logger that transmits info to home base..? Why then is it rated a 5..?
sorry i NEED to know if this top 6 was made by privacy policy or even by viruses protection
came from youtube recommend after watching "The Best Web Browsers for Privacy" by The Linux Experiment
If you're using NordVPN, does it matter which of these browsers you're using?
chromium is open source, but chrome undoubtedly is not
True chrome suck almost same like safari and whole apple.
Disagree with your security updates ranking for Brave and other Chromium-based browsers. They all have update cycles equal too or better than Google Chrome (remember that one's like Brave have to also update for enhanced features beyond those supplied by the Chromium base code especially enhanced Privacy).
Great Vid - I struggle finding a good solution since i want to use the same browser on Chromebook, Android and Windows (for ease of use and seemless integration)
So how about a combination of Firefox browser and Duck Duck Go search engine?
DDG isn’t as good anymore…I switched to Brave a couple of years ago.
cool i was just browsing when i came across this video lol
What about edge?
Why does Google pop up so often on Safari? And Brave as well?
If you want to get rid of ads, avoid Chrome and Opera.
Brave is by far and wawy the best browser ever.
The PC security channel put all of them to the test, in the end, Microsoft edge won. in a head - to - head competition against Google Chrome and Firefox, the challenge was to see how many malicious websites would each one of them block. In the end, Microsoft edge won, with a perfect 300.
but who uses EDGE😂

What about private relay with Safari
This alone would deserve a 3 out of 5, since it adds a layer of security. He also states there's not enough security updates on Safari, which is incorrect. iOS frequently pushes security updates, including improvements for Safari.
Google chrome is not Open-source ! only chromium , Brave , Mozilla Firefox , Librewolf and Tor
Brave blocks ads on youtube and has built-in cast.
Sharing eveRywhere!
Don't do that. This is bad info!
Is Brave the only browser which blocks ads on YT ?
yes, although sometimes YT will refuse to play vids if Braves SHIELD function is turned on (which is what blocks ads). did it to me recently, the next day i was able to turn shields back on and still watch videos
important! why doesn't he mention this?
Every browser with Ublock Origin blocks YT ads
opera and Microsoft Edge pls
These are not browsers, but spyware ...
How's LibreWolf a 5/5 but Firefox a 4/5 if both have the exact same comments?
Librewolf is more private!

Samsung internet browser beta blocks everything, problem solved from Korea.
no fucking way

Opera: insert ads anywhere 💀

Biggest mistake is that Google chrome is not open source and all the crap google put in google chrome is because its closed source and no one can see whats really going inside it.
I find Safari Private Browsing is very secure but is no good for doing banking or logins to Gov services
I feel that none of these browsers are as good as the one I am experiencing on my homepage.
One final note... test for yourself... which of these picks, if any, can pass EFF's Cover Your Tracks Test? Let us know what you find out.
Did yall forget about duckduckgo
What about Duck Duck Go?
Ain't no way this man just said chrome open source... welp ain't coming back here again.
please correct that google chrome is not open source

NoFfirefox vpn yet. Opera has vpn, ad block, tracker block, image/video sharpen.

AVAST has a browser. It might be from Duck Duck Go.
No comment on Vivaldi?
A little better than Chrome. Both are based on Chromium with proprietary bits stuck on. Vivaldi likely has some better defaults and practices when it comes to privacy though. 2 or 3 outta 5
Нет, Вивальди не является безопасным браузером, его серверы находится в Исландии, он не является полностью с открытым исходным кодом, браузер проприетарный.
Why you didn’t do Opera GX I use that web browser.
While Opera GX is a feature-rich browser mostly aimed towards gamers, both Opera and Opera GX don't have good privacy features and their "VPN" is one of the worst VPNs you could use on the internet, plus they are owned by a Chinese company.
Cuz it's a spyware
Chinese malware
lmao look at the other comments for an explanation
The desired descriptions sure sound like Chrome 😉
These "back bedroom boys studios" repeat the same old stuff over and over again. They never include Vivaldi and always spout duck duck go. Start using "startpage" fast and safe and Vivaldi is also based on Chromium project. Ask your self what do you do at home on your computer that needs you to hide from the rest of the world? Once you get your answer, it will determine what browser you use.😮
Why is open sourceso good if it shows the hackers the vulnerabilites ? Surely a lock someone doesn't know the mechanism is better.
Because beiung able to be seen by many people immediately at once makes it so the people that are not shit, patch it ASAP.
Read this here under complete end use the comments to make a new film. Then a lot of issues are addressed,
I dont even know why im so concern about privacy from government to watch cocomelon video😅
Wasn't Tors cracked by the FBI years ago?
feb 2024.....librewolf does not support android.....amend list
cant even install brave on my unsupported mac lol
And opera ?
Opera it’s by no means close to secure. Do some research on it.
I know but chrome is worse than opera @@sofritopr1
Opera is owned by a Chinese company, I don't think the browser is meant for privacy.
Missed Edge… after using Firefox forever…I recently switched to Edge…and really love it…
So you downgraded your privacy and security for convenience. Side note, Edge is now Chrome based.

Vivaldi? Nyxt? Netsurf?
PaleMoon ,Floorp, Mullvad ....?
So when he says safari he means microsoft edge right?
No, Patricio. Indeed Safari is Apple, iOS. Edge browser is Microsoft. Recently They launched Edge for Android and iOS. Btw, Android is Google OS.
Where the hell is Edge in that list? It has a lot of good security. Can't make a list unless you test them all. Edge is far more popular than some of the other ones.
And don't be a tool and say "it's chromium". So is Brave FFS.
CHROME is very deliberately designed to be the WORST of all for web security.
(But they'll try to convince you otherwise.)
And Firefox is far better than most -
Privacy =/ security. Firefox is good privacy wise, but security wise, chromium browsers are better. Chrome is not private but more secured than Firefox.
Problem is duck duck go is not private as you think. Sill i use firefox, and i never change this. Best alweys. Apple suck... Not mater what he tell, chrom is disaster. Brave is better and Edge also better then chrome. And Libre Wolf you check same as FF and you tell FF 4/5 and Libre W... 5/5 this is not nice. Arch browser is on chromium then if i must choice google trash or chromium i take Arch or Chromium. But not Chrome. Chrome is not open source chrome is fork from Chromium who is open source then - 1 for this also.
sigh....palemoon?
duckduckgo?
Chrome is not open-source and Brave has a bult-in script blocker.
Probably best not to share this video with anyone.
Thoughts on DuckDuckGo?
Chrome is NOT open source. Chromium, or blink, then engine it is built on, is.
I do not believe ANY browser is secure! Sorry. Privacy on the net is impossible.
Exactly ... bcz anything ( permissions ) options you choose to not allow ...allow while using app .. don't not allow i.e. " System Permissions " still overrides it any .. TH ? .. nothings actually private nor secured .. my belief ..
