I have been looking for a walk-through on this particular model and not even the manufactures have done as good a job as you did. The funny part is you were showing us all the really cool stuff you added to it, which is bad ass, but at the same time, I actually got to see every square inch of this model kayak of which I have been wanting to do for a while. I’m very thankful to you.
I wish I could take credit for the sweet edit in middle of video but my Neigbhor who is a pro did it for me haha. I did just invest in a gimble so I can start getting some cool footage. Thanks!
@@YakLocal Well your neighbor did some nice editing. Keep picking up pointers from your neighbor and your subscriber base will grow. Great job to both of you.
Lock that paddle in. A big wave will rip it right off unlocked, and the quick reach will tip the kayak hard to that side. Solid intro, top quality editing. Also check the rudder cable tension regularly. They vibrate loose from road travel and more than once I've had mine come out and leave my rudder disabled until I got to shore and fix it.
@@YakLocal gotcha, yeah, I saw at least one more person where their BigWater PDL tension knob ends up doing a full turn because it wasn't tight enough and had to move the washer. Apparently it doesn't happen with the Predators, hopefully Old Town is looking into that.
It’s the stock roof rack but the hitch loader is called the rhino rack T- Loader. Makes loading on top a breeze. I eventually bought the Malone mega wings and attached them to the stock roof rack. Worked fine, ended up buying a truck haha
@@YakLocal actually I wanted the Autopilot 120. I am in Valencia Ca. By Magic Mountain. I will look them up see if I can get a address and number. Thanks
Hey about how tall are you? I’m 5’5” and I’m looking at getting a big water or a predator and was wondering where the seat would be in orientation to the fish finder being mounted on the handle because that’s what I plan on doing once I get mine and I’m not sure if I’ll be too short to use that and will have to mount it on one of the mounting plates lol

@@BrettL250 I’m glad it served you well! That was my hopes!
Great review, glad I came across this vid. Looking at the Bigwater myself. Your best accessory is the Portuguese flag! 🇵🇹 Força Portugal!!
Thanks brotha!! Viva! That’s what I’m talking about haha! Love it man

Thanks for the tips man! I will definitely do that! Thanks for the sub! You were my 100!!!
@@YakLocal I'm surprised you don't have a lot more. Pro quality video/editing man.
Sweet set-up! It looks great!
Thank you!! It rides even better!
Bruh.....
So clutch! Can't wait to hit MDO and Leff this year! Let's gooooooo!!
So pumped!
Pedals look good man!
Thanks man!
Looks great! Great job on the rigging too. Very solid.
Thank you! I’m very happy with it! Haven’t had any issues! Love my old town
Really like the wiring. I did my big water like you said most people do. If your SoCal I may see you out there. Nice rig.
Thanks man! I sure am let’s link up!
Excellent video! You nailed it
Congrats man! She looks amazing!!! I think the color looks awesome.
Thank you brotha! I love the color!
Nice set up. Kayak storage cart well done also
Thank you!!
Definitely a good option if you don't want to spend a little more for Hobie Outback.
looks great, color is hot. Digging the cart too
Thank you!! Appreciate it! Cart is definitely clutch
Sweet ride!! Now let's put that net to use soon 🤙🏽🐟🐟🐟
Thanks bro!! Let do it!!
Great job! Love your set up. Great video and would be great if you could do 1 on your storage cart. LOVE THE FLAG ALSO.
🇵🇹🇵🇹 Portuguese America from Massachusetts
What kind of storage cart is that?
@PrimeMinister82 it’s just a diy cart. There are a few TH-cam videos out there. Just search diy kayak garage cart
@@YakLocal Thank you! 🇵🇹
2 years bro lol
Gotta love OEX!!!
Yeah I’m glad they were able to take care of me!
I found a 5mm stretch marine bungee without the hooks, keeps seat back up when standing
Did you drilled a hole for your wirings?
What kind of roof rack is that? Is there any film of loading onto it?
sick kayak man! I got the same thing in the same color!
I love it man! Right on! Where you located brotha?
@@YakLocal I'm all the way up in canada! I love San Diego so next time I head down for In & Out burger i'll bring the yaks with me haha
Nice! Can you do a video on racking it on the 3rd Gen?! I might have to get my 4 runner back 🤣
I got rid of it and bought a truck. But I used the T-loader that comes down and is attached to hitch, it makes loading on the rack a breeze
Have you had any side imaging issues with the 3in1 transducer mounted like that?
No I don’t think so, I don’t use ton of side imaging but when I do it seems to be fine.
Vert nice kayak.
Hoow is the Price ?
Thanks for vidéo
Thank you! They are $2600 new
Hey, is that a 7" or 9" Elite?
Team Old Town 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
So pumped!
I like that large yellow tackle tray you put beneath your seat. Where did you get that?
Ahh man it’s so clutch! Home Depot $15! Stanley tool tray box
@@YakLocal Now I'm gonna have to get one! Thx ;-)
Yeah man do it!
I just got this kayak. Help me find a keal guard plz..
Best bet is to do out of kydex. There’s tons of videos online. It’s very strong. It was fairly simple to do!
Nice...i can't wait to get mine in couple of weeks...i ordered big water 132 pdl...how wide is it?
36"
Can you change gears on those to go faster, or are they just single speed??
Single speed
Awesome rig. Are you using the Rhino Rack T loader to transport? I’m also going to cartop and curious to know how that’s working out. Thanks!
Yup! It works out great! Can’t imagine loading without it
Hey bro, are those hobie beach wheels? They fit good in the scuppers?
No those were seattle sports beach wheels. I use the wilderness cart beach wheels now and there the best wheels hands down. I don’t use scupper wheels
Did you put that white plastic washer on the outside of the PDL tension knob (between the knob and bolt head) or did it come like that?
Yes I did. It made it lock tighter
@@YakLocal gotcha, yeah, I saw at least one more person where their BigWater PDL tension knob ends up doing a full turn because it wasn't tight enough and had to move the washer. Apparently it doesn't happen with the Predators, hopefully Old Town is looking into that.

Is ur kayak flat or dose it have like a small curve upward by or in front of the seat
No it has a pretty sharp V hull
@@YakLocal no not at the bottom of the kayak by the seat
@@torress1976 it has a small curve
@@YakLocal ok i got mine and i was wondering if there was something wrong with it or if that was the design of the kayak..
@@torress1976 yeah it’s design so it can drain properly. It’s an extremely dry ride!
Do you have the plans you used to make that rolling cart to store it on?
I don’t sorry, I just used different TH-cam videos and made my own
Hi where in San Diego did you purchase the KayakI want to buy the Gig water PDL 132. Thanks

2600$?! Holy shit im sticking to my 20 year old, old town otter for now lol
What happened to the Lightning?
I sold it. I wanted a little more comfort and speed and a big one was instant reverse
Who cares what other think of the color...its badass. Also if you like it is all that matters.
I agree i love the color! thanks for watching!
The cart,that’s what I,am talking about.👍
Thanks!
Yo it’s not a paint job it’s blow molded plastic it is what ever the swirl mix is when it comes out of the barrel.
