There were 16 of us at our home when an F5 tornado hit our town, Joplin, MO. Our children and grandchildren were in our home at the time....our home was destroyed...we lost 8 cars....but, Prise God, not one of us even had a scratch! Father God just put his arms around us ! We were praising And thanking our Lord Jesus during the entire experience. There is much more to my story but enough said. Your faith will see you through....God bless you, dear! 🤗🤗🤗🤗

I knew you'd have the best booth! I don't do any outdoor fests with my art on canvas, simply because of the weather, be it rain, wind, or extreme heat, so I totally understand. Please do take this on a light note .. but I couldn't help but think of the movie with your quote "there's no place like home". It was relatable, unfortunately on that note. As mentioned before ... As I sit here and watch you pour your heart out...I can’t help but remember a Festival I did with my jewelry, just when I was all set up a LA. Southern storm came though. I then found myself standing in water up to my ankles and every earring floating in water. Thank you for knowing, like me, that God didn’t cause that BUT HE was certainly there with me though it all. Just sat and watched this video and was truly brought to tears, Mary. I watched you over the last several months working hard on each one of the pieces of furniture, signs, candles, etc. and know how much hard work you put into each item.....how much of your pride and your spirit were incorporated into each of those. To have them all destroyed....the commitment you made for the Vintage Fair....ending up in a pile of rubble....is heart-breaking! Your faith, family and close friends will help you through this. Mary my heart goes out to you, 20 years ago a tornado took our house off the top of us, thankfully no one was hurt and our family is the stronger for it. Threw it all I heard Gods voice "hush child it is only the wind" stay strong and you will come back better than ever.
The one thing to be thankful for is that no one was killed in the after math. All of the people can understand the devastation you all went through. The Furniture can be repaired as you have shown, you're very good at. From disasters blessings can come. God bless you and your family.

There is always joy, it just sometimes takes a bit of reflection to see/feel it. Your heart is broken, but your spirit is seen in the wonderful things you make. Your sorrow will lessen in time but please know your work does give others a glad heart. As for me, I enjoyed seeing how beautifully you had your booth set up. You have such a wonderful eye for placing your pieces together. God has blessed you in so many ways and blessed us with you.

Mary my heart goes out to you, 20 years ago a tornado took our house off the top of us, thankfully no one was hurt and our family is the stronger for it. Threw it all I heard Gods voice "hush child it is only the wind" stay strong and you will come back better than ever.
The one thing to be thankful for is that no one was killed in the after math. All of the people can understand the devastation you all went through. The Furniture can be repaired as you have shown, you're very good at. From disasters blessings can come. God bless you and your family.

Wow, that's amazing that you wrote this as I had no idea there is actually a saying like this, because several years ago that same idea had crossed my mind - that whenever an item gets broken or damaged in some way - that perhaps the item is taking the damage instead of one of our family members, as if the damage is passing us over and instead being put upon an object.
