Why This Account Spends 12 Hours Per Day Playing League of Legends

- The Mastery Point system in League of Legends provides players with a badge of honor to display how familiar they are with their favorite champions. However, it would take almost 2000 games to reach 1 million mastery points. Meaning that players with several millions have spent a longer time on the rift than you'd imagine.
Today we're taking a look at the record breaking Teemo player who has over 20 million mastery points on one champion. The most by any account.
But reportedly his commitment to Teemo stems from a commitment of love...

Curing depression with 12 hours of League a day, he is a psychopath
Yea everyone is a psychopath here at the VN server coming from a Vietnamese myself
Man is built different lol
He doesn't suffer playing, he is the reason why others suffer playing
Just a cry baby that can't live a normal life, yeah it's sad that his girl passed but how is being a loser going to fix anything?
Actually, he has a PC bang, and he lets players play without paying if they pick teemo on his account
You know you've hit rock bottom when League FIXES your depression. Hope this guy is alright man
Looks like I’m in trouble too
Because I started playing league because my friends (and crush) played it, but I only realized this after 2 years or so. During those 2 years I was depressed and lonely, and so making a league account was able to kinda break that loneliness in me, because now I had people to talk to outside of school.
I was sad I was just listening to some league lore and it made me feel better also got back to league after 10 years and it makes me feel great I’ve been going through a hard time in life and it’s a great escape what the hell do you guys play for not to have fun enjoy yourself “PLAY” and not think about your problems
6:33
The more accurate translation for the name would be "Could winning get a meal"
It's a common phrase here in Taiwan, when your parents trying to talk down to you
For instance, if you like drawing a lot, but you neglect your school work, your mom would say "Could drawing get you a meal? go study!"
So similar to the phrase “Does said thing put food on the table”
it's funny, because drawing could absolutely get you a meal
only if you draw furry @@GenoWhirl24

This started out as something, but somehow ended up going nowhere.
Yea lol
Yeah, i was fullscreen watching, JUST hit the point of being actually into the story and where it goes and then the video ended and im like huh ? gave it a dislike. That was boring asf xD
Actively reminding yourself that someone is gone for hours a day is counterproductive to healing. Grieving is healthy, but locking yourself in the grieving phase is not.
Exactly it really makes no sense at all.
I don't think he cares about what's healthy for him
Back when i still had the pocket knife of my grandfather, i kept it in my pocket safely, carrying it around in my favourite jacket st all times. It was something neat, reminding me of him. Locking yourself in the grieving process is really specific to everyone themselves, so please be carefull what you write, since interpretations with no real evidence are just wild guesses.
Anyways, recently i lost the knife and i was so fucking sad..
A lot of people seem to be respecting his devotion to play Teemo as much as he has, and while I agree with that I'm more concerned than anything for him if his habits do in fact consist of 6-8 hours of league per day (while being very grief-stricken about his girlfriend) and nothing else besides sleep/basic human needs. He seems very depressed. If this story really is true, I hope he finds some peace someday.
he is an internet cafe owner, anyone who want to play for free can use his account but they can only use teemo :v
@@TachLux Now this is a more realistic story, even the play time match.
Another version of the story is that, the owner of the account own an internet cafe, a very popular kind of place to come and hired (?) good PC and play games. He has a policy to allow people to play for free IF they agree on playing on his Teemo only account, that why the account is active up to 12 hours a day
it could also explain why the rank is not consistent either
Someone should look closer at his replays and see if there are obviously different people playing. And build changes.
As a Vietnamese player who've heard the news for a long time now, this guy is simply tributing his gf at the peak of his power, he's getting such respect from anyone in the community here.
Not to be rude, sounds like viegos story. He wants her back? ahh sounds more like greed than love now.
@@WarauTR he can't let go, it's not greed, but an inability to deal with the loss
I am a mastery 7 180k teemo support player. Guess i will start maining him as a tribute to this guy
Honestly he is a loser
If the story is true, then it’s such a bittersweet story of devotion. Oh, the things we do for love.
Nah its just sad. He should get himself a therapy
As a Vietnamese player, I have heard rumours about this account. It was the account of the owner of an internet cafe(in our country internet cafe is very popular). In that internet cafe if anyone wants to play lol for free then you have to log into the owner account and play teemo. It is just a rumour anyway
6:38 is acutally a popular phrase that parents used to tell kids in asian countries that translate to:
can you treat win as a meal?
basically saying that playing video games don't lead to money so stop playing
Slave minded. Not everything should bring you money in life… but these people are so poor that they turned money into their god so makes sense they say that
I remember hearing this story. I respect this Teemo player. And teemo a bit more.
U need a doctor like this teemo player, because respecting teemo mains is the last thing u should do
@@redlotus1353 Seriously. Teemo mains can get bent.
@@redlotus1353 I respect the reason he does it.
I've heard that this Teemo isn't just one person's account. It's the account of a person who runs a pc bang in Vietnam and if you want to play on one of the computers, you have to play lol and teemo.
PS: no idea if this is a true story or another person.
I was going to mention this as well, but honestly that had even less evidence tbh lol
PC bang, sure. But why would you force your customers to play Teemo. That part doesn't make ant sense.
@@ZorteX no just anyone who wants to play for free has to play teemo on his account
@@QuanNguyen-fb1rd well then it proves teemo is an easy champ if random dudes are able to keep it in gold-plat XD
@@ambiguousspotlightofinsani6764 That alone kinda disproves this rumor.
(sorry for my bad English) The Teemo Player who lost his GF already quit the game long time ago, the account with 21M Mastery belong to the owner of an Internet Cafe. Anyone want to use free service just need to ask him and he will give you his account and make you only play Teemo
hey, thats super interesting, do you have any proof which you could show people? Maybe @Nicolai will make an update or clear it out in description?
@@gnrlkrwt oneesports/./vn/ lmht/lmht-nguoi-choi-teemo-viet-nam-so-huu-diem-thong-thao-gap-doi-ky-luc-the-gioi-hien-tai/
@@gnrlkrwt The story of these 2 accounts is usually only passed down by word of mouth among players in the Vietnamese community, I have no concrete evidence, but this story emerged in the period 2017-2019.
ye that's right
not trying to be rude but pls don't spread a story if you don't know if it is true or not. this is how misinfo spreads, regardless of if this story is true or not
If the story is true it kinda explains a lot of the dedication. Being if you ever lose a family member or someone close you feel dedicated to continue on something. That's how a lot of company owners have their ideals from to creating a product that surrounds trauma or past. They dedicate themselves to do it. Same with this.
yeh i printed ma latest best friend on my t shirt as he was ultramarathonner but lately not training much n drinking lots of alchohol
Guy's this has nothing to do with the video itself
But i just reached masters as an ADC main🎉
Congratulations my friend!
duo?
edit: I'm bronze 🥹
WOOOAAH congrats bro!! any tips? i haven't ried rankeds but i'd like to try it out some soon
Respectfully, that is not a way to respect someone's death. He's just using it as an excuse cause he's addicted to the game.. It's like saying I drink alcohol everyday to honor my girlfriend who loved whiskey.
Damn. Now that I think about it, it kinda makes sense. You must not ignore his occasional devotion names though, like "See you in the afterlife" or "I wish you were there". He could be addicted but also he most definitely misses his (now dead) girlfriend.
yeah like i understand starting to main your passed partner's champion but to play teemo to THIS extent is a bit... it's a bit much
I'll drink to that
Seriously, it's not healthy or poignant.
if a man write a woman 1 poem he loves her. if he writes her 1000 poems he loves poems
Is like looking at Steam reviews past 10k hours per game
Certain champions are enough interesting (or fun) to make experiments or to enjoy in a way like this one in the video.
Nah this is too funny. His gf for sure would be happy in afterlife after knowing his bf was spending 12 hours everyday playing league
6:39 It actually translates into “Can I TREAT this as my meal if I win?” which further implies that he plays so much he doesn’t need food lmao
YET ANOTHER CERTIFIED NICOLAI BANGER, HE DOESNT MISS
Thank you for the constant support brother!
5:46 not the legend losing his crown 😔😔😔
4:50 afaik is 90 for each free name change
He can still do it but it will cost (and since LoL summoner’s name change costs.. is the same, albeit maybe more/less money)
you know how now, anytime there is a garags combo people say bomba.. got me thinking of other times, there was a play so good. We (the community) started using the player name as common slang.. calling vayne players gosu, or "insec'ing" someone after that famous lee kick.. maybe a fun video idea to explore..
Surprised not to see half of vid span ad : )
bro, i'm vietnamese and i heard somewhere, couple years ago, the highest teemo acount owner is the boss of some gaming net coffee, and he have different player who come in and played teemo on his account day and night, that's why the high mastery point. i'm not saying it's true so take it with a grain of salt.
Omg this is sad...
Thanks for this video.
I know it's a sad story, but how could he not accept the grief? Losing a loved one is really hard and acceptance can take for years (took me 4 whole years to accept my dog's death), but if he just keeps playing Teemo to remind of his girlfriend all the time it will just build up his denial, making him more despair over his loss. Acceptance is really important, man...
Holy shit, 2 mins in and i didn't expect this wtf
I'm also somebody who wants to push 1mil+ points on Teemo, not because of this story or anything relevant to that, I just really like Teemo's design, his playstyle and the way people look at me when I tell them I main Teemo. So perhaps I will be one of those 5000 players someday. (Currently at about 250k points)
I’m here for this investigative journalism!!!!
the #1 mastery teemo player is actually a manager at an internet cafe in Vietnam, and basically if you want to play for free in there, you have to play teemo on his account, that's why the account can reach that ridiculous amount of mastery
As someone who cherishes loved ones the most i feel so touched by this because i could never live without the one i love, so i cant even imagine being in his place
it's more about grief. have you ever went through it?
I heard a rumor that he is an Internet cafe shop's owner and he will let anyone play for free as long as they play on his account and use Teemo.
"Dedication and passion" yeah buddy and i have a severe dedication and passion for crack
4:00 the "random" set of number is probably his number because in the vietnamese phone line number start with a 0 ( I dont want to test it thuogh)
i heard that this account owner own a internet cafe and would lets everyone play for free if and only if they play Teemo in his account .
Tbh, his dead girlfriend would not want this guy to waste his life for 5 years on a game.
Finally another video.
Man I got got in a game with that Heimer guy once
"Somewhere in this eyes, i'm on your side"😢😢😢
Whenever you sleep or blink, he is playing.
i played 400 games as quinn jg in the past month, and when people ask "how?" or "why", i say "broken spine". then they stop asking. the truth is i just dont have much to do til February and im shamelessly grinding while listening to podcasts all day.
dang, this is insane.
Damn didn't know Tech N9ne was a Heimer OT
the mastery points where nerfed
A few years ago it was twice as much as it is now
super intresting video
Poor guy... In the most respectful way, he needs urgent help
Whatever reasons i love this game..
i play also every day .. somtimes 14 hours. sometimes only 8 hours. i play almost every champ in every role with every build you can imagine.. i understand the game very well.. but i dont care about grinding high elo..i am doing this the last 4 years. but i play the game since season 2 or 3 i gues.
when I do the math and count the average time for a ranked game is needed, he spent over 416 days JUST ingame playing teemo,
150 days waiting to get into the game.
If we say he plays 8h everyday in average he is playing teemo for 1700 days (with loading included).
In conclusion 4,7 years
I think its crazy, that you have that playtime and you are still in bronze or gold.
he is 23m now WOW
To clarify, the story about the guy whose girlfriend passed away is from a different player whom is not active on League anymore. The guy has 22m mastery points is an owner of a computers cafe or a PC Bang, he would log into his account if clients want to play but specifically Teemo only.
i think its internet cafe
"dedication and passion" or "addiction"?
He’s just grieving
The google translate on 6:38 is incorrect. It is an idiom mistranslated by google translate. The correct meaning is "can I make a living out of winning" or something along the lines of that
Close enough. It actually says “Can I treat this (this game/match) as my meal if I win?” which basically implies that he doesn’t need food but winning games. I don’t think he meant as deep as making a living out of it
Respect.
The guy is acctually an internet cafe owner and anyone who want to play at his place for free can play on his account with teemo only. 😅
League and wow just remind me of a simpler time
How does he not get bored of the game
For the editor; Be careful using the guinness world records logo, they've been cracking down on people using their trademark on youtube
1:46 ahri misses a cannon stopped watching after that
LOL
“I don’t need boots, I don’t run away.”
You.. you use the boots to run INTO the fights too…. 🙃
they said "i dont chase"
I don’t even play LOL but I still find this entertaining af
Don't play it, I've been playing since 2013 (on my older brother laptop, made my own account back in 2017 when I was 8) It's a love hate relationship.
Bruh that love was true, i'm a vietnamese, it was an unfortunate for his girl friend and yes, it is true but people of lol vn community is really big so i find out the truth is because that boyfriend is an internet coffe owner, he allow people to play the game free in his account and only pick teemo
Which is kinda interesting how this man love his gf
(man i only have crush)
fyi:赢了能当饭吃吗 means can winning be used as having meals, usually used by asian parents to scold us because we do too much of something
The true Tenmo Player
Teemo is cursed, i see it now
my name is nicolai too wth...
im comming up on a million points on teemo myself
What a sick anima this person is
he is escaping from life, or really addicted, to gather so much mastery.. people avoid their real life problems by playing games... until they finally get out of the inescapable black hole. some does escape and unfortunately some does not.
I understand the feeling of loosing someone you love but wtf.
this is aurban legend in LoL vietnam commulity :))
my teemo stops at 3 millions...for many years....twist fate is catching up...2 millions going to 3. but this person...is 7 x more "dedicated" to teemo than me...😅
6:20 Ummm, actually it's 1,271,426 (or with superior format 1.271.426), which is quite far from 2 million 🤓
I have 1mill mastery in Zyra🌺
the string of number you see is his phone number
Say sike
I would expect this from a Viego player, but, we all process grief in different ways I suppose,
If the story were true, I don't think his girlfriend could take Viego as a favorite when he hadn't come out in 2018
@@francisramirez1.- yes but you don't get what I mean. Look at Viego's character and then you'll get what I mean. Does X and Y to keep girlfriend's memory alive, etc.
@@gilgameshthetreasurehunter2750Oh well, you mean the story of Viego. Guess you're right, I just pointed out that because He started to play Teemo because Teemo was girlfriend favourite champion. Sorry for that.
at the end of the video i wouldnt say dedicaion but adiction, that much teemo cant be healthy for ur mind
Жаль, что про энцефалита ничего не упомянул.
i was pushing 12 hours a day during quarantine
Insine character deveploment
I don't even like or care about LoL but this is pretty interesting.
How its possible to play 13m points on Heimerdinger and be Bronze 4
This is a really really bad way to process grief. He's stuck on his past lover for years and years and using that to excuse a genuine addiction. That or they no longer see meaning in life without her, in either case it's very unhealthy. This is a poor way to honor ones memory because to mourn them you're destroying yourself, the exact opposite of what your departed loved ones would ever want. I do think it's sweet to main the champion of your late darling. It's a sweet tribute, but they've let it consume their life beyond it being sweet or cute in any way. It's simply depressing and pathetic. They really really need professional help and a support system because this behavior is wildly unhealthy
1 min in and I'm about to cry
The 1 million nastery have become normal....i had once a 6 million mastery hemier, all he does is sit mid and does nothing in gold
actually sad ;(

Likely his girlfriends old phone number with some 0's added in.
Since I am a Vietnamese myself + been hearing about this story for a long time, sadly, this story is not belong to the owner of the account. The story about losing a gf is from somebody else. The owner of this account also owns a internet cafe, and he allows his customers to play for free if they play on his account. I can't make a confirmation whether the story itself is real or not, but I can be sure about the information I just said above.
The internet cafe story is way more believable but there's also no proof lol

Really get scared when I hear people talking about playing 7 hours a day being completely abnormal... cause its what I did for a long time...
Its just that how do you pay your bills otherwise? If you're in school or have the time while still having a roof over your head and food in your belly than do what you enjoy c:
@@bex-- Yeah I work in a big tech company in remote...so i could play during my working hours...I played because i was bored... Could have work on a side hustle or working on my career... Thankfully i am out of it

I see some very disturbing signs
i have played 5000 matches of ashe.
