Haha, yes. The funny thing was that they all poured out of the bush, into that dry river bed section, at the same time - all looking in the same direction. I was convinced that the Lions would soon follow, as all those impala looked VERY aware and on-edge. Not quite the lion experience in the end, but still very cool and impressive between Elephant and Impala.

Not sure if this is standard, or whether this is an upgraded option in their fleet, but I'm sure that a quick look at their website will reveal the spec and price. ;-)

Another lovely video. We will be visiting Savuti in October as part of our two week safari holiday so your video is giving me a great insight as to what to expect. As UK pensioners, this will almost certainly be a "once in a lifetime" trip so really hoping to get to see a few cats as well as all the other wonderful wildlife.

Most people see the Lions at least. We heard them most nights - just no sightings - so they’re definitely in and around the camps. Good luck and enjoy.
any reason why you got out of the vehicle to view the elephant at the watering hole even though you not allowed to do that in kruger national park? we also dont allow that in BW.
Good question Monthusi - to be honest, we'd been driving for a good number of hours and literally just stopped to stretch our legs for a few minutes when that Elephant came past. We have seen many more people getting in and out of cars in BW - getting stuck, checking depth of water crossing etc, and so it appears that the BW parks are less rigid in their enforcement of this rule. Also, the camping in BW is very different to Kruger, in that it is unfenced in most of the places - and so I guess you are naturally having to be more aware in BW because of this. Either way - was great to experience the Elephant in the way that we did. I guess the age old principle of keeping your distance, respecting the animal and being alert was what we tried to follow on this trip.
@@graemecumming well in an emergency (stuck vehicle) or assessing risk (wadding into water to check depth though not advisable) are indeed justified reason enuf to disembark your vehicle but let it be not a common trend least authorities catch wind of this and they start policing you every corner only for you later on report you ate being harassed by dwnp officials...its actually for your safety as well...from your video, every one had their eyes fixated on the elephant....anything could've attacked from your rear...just follow the rules and keep safe....thanks in advance
