Here's our latest full and comprehensive review of the Tomokazu Harimoto ALC blade by Butterfly! The Japanese Wonderkid Harimoto is just 16 years old and already has his own personal blade out!
We see how this blade compares to the popular Timo Boll ALC, the Innerforce ALC and more.

CAF blade has also a thin handle. Had to put grip tape on it...
I had used innerforce blade, it has tough time on mid distance looping. good for close to the table play. I switched to TB ALC.
How does the harimoto alc compare to the Harimoto ZLC in terms of speed, feel, control and spin? Which of these blades are better suited to looping mid distance from the table? does the ZLC have a larger sweetspot compared to the ALC?

why not a review of the inneforce ALC you already have? Would be great i was wondering if buy one or not but I dont see reviews on YT of that blade.
I swapped to Harimoto from Boll alc, I really like it, so easy block with. I'd say it;s not as fast as a Boll alc but a little quicker than the innerforce alc, maybe because the head is slightly bigger??? I enjoyed the Boll but unless contact was perfect it was easy to ping the ball long, with the Harimoto it is a lot safer. I'll stick with this blade gives me safety and enough power to finish a point, whats not to like hey, it felt nice from the off. Tenergy 05 on fh and 05fx on bh, some might prefer 05 both sides but the fx gives so much safety in blocking it's crazy. Nice blade/bat..........try it, you won't be disappointed.
Harimoto plays close to the table because of his style of chop block and relying his flips for straight scoring. Given that Dan said it feels more like a Hinoki blade. Its that means that this blade will be difficult to play at mid to far distance when you have to strong loop or defend from distance?
You really don't see Tomo doing that at all because that's his weakest area. Since Tomo really benefits from the new plastic ball having less spin and bounces higher. Is that how you have to change the play like him too? Simply because I never see any mid-to-mid distance loop rally at all at the video. Table Tennis Daily always shows footage of that for all their blades and rubbers. So this is really strange.

Lin Gaoyuan is quicker than Viscaria and less controlable close to the table.

Hi Dan! In america the Harimoto blade is $251 while the innerforce alc is $179. The Harimoto looks great and I would love to see how the extra width feels, but there's no way I'm paying $75 extra for just a few mm difference in blade width :(
Agree, Im using innerforce ALC for almost 2 years and tried this new Harimoto ALC blade. Honestly, I can't even tell the difference other than feel on the handle part (Harimoto's more rounded) and I still prefer my own Innerforce blade

Lin Gaoyuan ALC ?
I was curious if i should switch from my Viscaria to Harimoto but this video convinced me not to. I think the Viscaria would be better if it were a little bit faster, like the Butterfly Photino i have for my secondary bat.
Late reply but how did you find the switch from Viscaria to an innerforce ?
@@gab5012 i never got the chance to play that much with innerforce except some loops and counters - and it felt quite similar - but i don't remember ever playing matches with an innerforce to see what's it like for a serve, flicks and so on. I'll see if any of my mates have one and give it a go
Jeeze... it looks like as if there is a rubber string attached to the ball and paddle. instant action on every hit!
This blade doesn't have that ridiculously reliable and stable arc when counterlooping, which tells you that if you perform a technically correct stroke, you will never overshoot the table, even if the incoming loop is spinny as hell. But this one seems to be a stonewall of blocking.
i guess it is good for pressure matches cus of the consistency

Hi Mg, what's your current level and style of play?
Pick any decent rubber and stick with it for atleast 6 months, will do a lot more than trying several high end rubber/blade combos. I've been using Yasaka Rakza 7 for over a year now. Tibhar MXP and Stiga Mantra M are also good .
What rubbers did you guys use?

Is it comparable? I got an AZXi and don't find it similar to my Lin Gaoyuan ALC, which is a lot like TB ALC blade.
@@aldopalacios3357 i bought harimoto alc and azxi icecream, harimoto alc so much slower and feels sticky and the otherwise azxi icecream doesnt feel like an inner carbon at all, speed, stiffness etc like outer carbon

Dan it's bc u have weak technique and youre using weak rubber with soft blade u should've used hard rubber on soft blade that's the best combo

Mejor fabricaran el Michael Maze Arylate-carbon o algo parecido a Joola Rosskopf fire 07. Yo tengo mi Rosskopf Fire mango Straight de 81 gramos y hace mejores golpes que está cuestión tan cara y pesada.
