    I also say it here.
    Take your time and watch the whole video. Aris information is important for every ACC fan.
    I really appreciate that the devs take so much time for us.

    Watched this and tuned my ffb settings, FINALLY i do feel the dropoff in grip when the car understeers... before i didnt notice it at all and i just stopped playing acc.... but now, oooh god i love it

    Perfect explanation! Fantastic job!
    Now we can understand the difference between a good and an excellent driver. The best driver has more skill to keep the tire closer to the maximum grip level.

    Very cool to hear the technical details! Your insight is very helpful. Thanks for the videos.

    I manage to improve the "coast section" of the initial part of the corner by using the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, because she doesn't like multiple input and let her stabilize, so you have to do one thing at time. So if for someonone can be useful practice with that strange car for that :)
    Anyway very thanks to Aris you are doing a beautiful job, you help me a lot with your videos!

    Thanks for this video Aris! Coming from Gran Turismo was quite jarring as I had to learn to use a lot less steering angle. Are you familiar with the grip physics of Gran Turismo? It seems the optimal grip window is at a higher and wider set of steering angles. It's also a lot easier to find the limit as there is a distinct FFB juddering. I'm also having some trouble interpreting ACC FFB, I know it's supposed to be more realistic but do you have any tips for recognising oversteer, understeer and the grip limit?
    Thanks!

      We'll talk about this in the near future. For now, small movements and never ask from your tyres more than they can give.

    Is there a place where it's possible to see what's the the tire curve for the GT3's in ACC ?

    Ciao Aris! Great lecture!! However, I'm a bit confused now. The limit for GT3 slicks is 5-6 degrees according to the chart, but do you mean 5-6 degrees of tire turn/scrub in relation to the direction of travel of the car, or 5-6 degrees of steering wheel turn (that sounds waaay too small)? I think in relation to car direction...? Also, I have the exact same Fanatec setup as you (DD1, set to 1080 degrees rotation), in the video you're actually using (demonstrating) the amount you should be turning the steering wheel, or just giving an example and not actually using real steering inputs before going over the edge of grip? (assuming 1080 degrees of wheel rotation set). Grazie Mille!!

    • @ArisDrives
      @ArisDrives  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      As you said, 5-6 degrees (actually 4-5) of tyre turn scrub in relation to the direction of travel.
      In the video steering wheel demonstration, the wheel turning will be of course different from turn to turn. Pay attention on the amount of extra (more or less) steering input that you should do, to correct your line. That extra input is what should be tiny.
      Examples:
      You need to turn the wheel by 40°. You "play" around 35°-55° not more.
      You need to turn the whel 100°. You "play" around 90-110° and not more.
      It's the "play" around the ideal steer angle that needs to be less wide than before.

    Where do you further explain the ABS settings and why 3 is better than 2 in these situations?

    • @ArisDrives
      @ArisDrives  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it depends, ABS levels are not identical on each car, so 3 on Lambo, might be different than 3 on Aston to give you an example. I don't remember the video right now, I'll have to re-watch it.
      Usually if I don't want to consume the tyre a lot, I will use a higher ABS level. I will also use a higher level if the tyre is worn or the track is less rubbered.

    Hi ! Do you know if this is still actual ? With Ferrari 488 Evo I’ve got the feeling the car rotates pretty more after 10% steering weel angle

    Nice "cut"!! Those videos are really nice! It would be nicer of you could (if you have the time) make more "professional" series (and it would be great advertisement too!) Obviously those cuts are part of a stream and they are lovely but im just proposing something with a higher production value if you know what i mean! It would bring a lot of publicity to the sim too

    Hi Aris, I can't feel understeer at all after the 5-point tyre model update, tried everything in FFB options but nothing changed... is it gonna be fixed?

  • @JifeLacket

    I'm just wondering what operating range (steering wheel degree of rotation) do you recommend for ACC? I started using the full 900 degrees of rotation setting but I feel like 540 degrees is a bit better. With 900 degrees I felt I needed to turn the wheel too far to get the output I wanted. With 540 degrees it requires a bit less input in to generate the same movement of the wheels of the car. Hopefully you understand what I'm saying ... I'm curious as to what you use or recommend. I also understand that all the cars are different with steering wheel input so I guess it depends.

    • @ArisDrives
      @ArisDrives  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Always 900 degrees. The sim will adjust itself, each car has a different steering wheel rotation. You can also adjust the steering ratio to change how much steering you need. Lower numbers, less steering input for the same turn and vice versa.
      But... also ask yourself if you're not steering way too much than what is needed, provoking understeer.

      @@ArisDrives Thank you. Since your tire grip video I have been literally steering with a few fingers, very lightly feeling the grip of the tire. I was steering too much before but have figured it out now. Paying attention to steering input/grip has improved lap times dramatically! I will keep it at 900 degrees. Keep up the great videos!

      Potrei cominciare a fare i video in greco che sono madrelingua, ma capisci che se facciamo così, non finiamo mai :) .
      Tuttavia un buon simracer Italiano Giovanni Cangiani, prende appunti dai miei video e li trascrive in italiano. Puoi seguire il suo post su Facebook qui: facebook.com/groups/AssettoCorsaItalia/permalink/3021446527866190/
