Hey there all you sensational subs I hope you're all doing well on this fine Friday we're having. A fun trip to the scrapyard today where I pulled a few pieces out of the dirt and brought them home to break down into some great additions to the shelf. So sit back relax and enjoy today's Extra long video😁👋🏻
My day started off right! I made headway on my card organization. I'm planning on starting my own metal melting soon. Going to a wedding next week for my aunt. It will be my first polyamorous wedding I've been to. Hoping one day I'll be able to marry my partners? Much love from the US! ~Melody
15 years, nearly 400 videos, 225 million views and 1.3 million subs. Not once has he shown his face. Not once has a sound emerged from his lips. Not so much as a cough. Incredible. Love this channel.
My condolences for your loss, the carnage was horrific and traumatizing. I am thankful that you were able overcome the loss and enjoy the next frosty beverage after the period mourning.
Ah, my 5th friend just died in the last 9 months. Thought I was gonna be able to relate. As far as the beers I've murdered, it comes with the territory. And Corona is just a nasty tasting hangover so for the best.
Just found this channel last week. Completely hooked. Never realized that I had an interest in melting and recycling metals. Of course, the socks, t-shirts, ice crushing & randomly found food never fail to make me laugh. Ingot & Bullion are a delight to see every single time! Thank you for all that you do to entertain us! 👍👍
I hobby scrap when I'm not working, and seeing you take your time with each screw and bolt is both frustrating and relaxing at the same time. One part of me is screaming: "just use a hammer and bust that apart to get to the good stuff", and another part of me is enjoying the art of what you do. Love your videos. Never stop.
I laughed so hard when you were kicking the fridge. Totally unexpected and hilarious. Glad you got your cheers in anyway. Thank you for another great melt!
My son has trouble sleeping, and I discovered your channel during lockdowns, now he has started watching them with me and it helps him go to sleep. Thank you mate. It’s so awesome bonding with him over your videos and I get to rewatch so many of them when he’s having a bad night
Obviously the melting is the crowning point of the video but can we just appreciate the massive amount of cutting grinding and other work that goes into making these videos
Your creativity amazes me. There is always something subtle in there that grabs my attention. Amazing after 100’s of videos you keep finding ways to entertain. My favorite is still the slow motion of the molten copper.
Agreed. He throws in a ton of Super IQ edits and ASMR things in these videos. Scary part is he’s getting freaking better on every video. You gotta be observant to notice some of them though. Fine work
Ok I absolutely LOVED the zoom in at 19:51... watching all the ash(?) coming off that bar was super satisfying. 20:04 Chee-- ... OH NO 😦😱😭🤬 28:11 Green box? ... oh, there's the block. The 2nd throw always gets me 🤣
Never too long. Love the videos. Relaxing in these times in the USA. You have a good thing going. Great dogs also. Ingot seems to be the bum of the pair.
Who would have thought that videos of someone recycling metals and casting their own ingots could be so entertaining? BIGSTACK D, that's who. The most entertaining casting channel on YT ! 👍🙂👍
There's so many things I love about your channel, 'Stack. Knowing that I've got something awesome to watch every Friday with a nice mug of coffee is but one. Been subbed for at least four years now and have yet to be disappointed! Have to say that my favorite parts are the melting itself (though the disassembly portion is oddly captivating/hypnotic), then watching the ingots clean partially as they melt through the ice. Ingot looked like he was hoping for more treats, since Bullion had already run off toward the back yard. Dare I ask how often you rant when the copper winds up having holes on the bar? There's usually what seems like a 50% chance for me... then I wind up re-melting again and again... and again... >.>
Just to have a Copper BigStackD round in my Copper n Silver collection would be EPIC! Well done my friend. Woof Woof Bullion n Ingot. Such handsome puppies
I'm waiting and hoping for the day when someone realizes they're watching him tear apart something they used to own themselves, then comment here about it. I can see it now: "Look, Honey, isn't that our old battery charger?" Keep melting, D. One tonne is just around the corner!
I love this channel. You take crap nobody wants and turns it into shiny things. Whenever I throw crap out, I think about getting my own furnace and making a bunch of shiny in my garage too. 😍
I hope you know…as a huge fan of your show…eventually, I’m waiting for that golden smelt! I would show your channel to high schoolers, in order to reintroduce trades-crafts…I.e. smelting, electronics, restoration, toolcraft, understanding how things work, by taking things apart…and melting shit!
Watch Sreetips Channel. He does Gold and Silver all the time. Silver is his bi-product. Nitric acid Silver dissolving and aqua regia gold refining. Its actually entertaining to watch. He is still discovering things and gets advice from the audience. I like Big Stacks also. No Talk. Peaceful. The first time I saw his channel you could easily see his wooden shelf of pours.
@@Luzeon I move around a little to get some variety. I like watching the melt and pour. When they cool off, do you see the ripples in the bar? He could get rid of those if he reheated it quickly in the mold.
Hey there! I've been watching your videos for a while now, but I haven't noticed anywhere if you specified how much you paid for the stuff you take from the scrapyard. Is it free? Or you have to pay something for it. Maybe it would be interesting to see how much profit you make in a year for the amount of kilos you take
Exactly what I was just going to ask. I have also seen a lot of his videos and he has never really mentioned anything about the scrapyard prices (if there are any). But I can tell you there is no question about profit. There is no profit. There might be a tiny amount if his work/time investment was considered zero. But he is not in this for profit from the metals he gets.
Awesome copper bar's and aluminum bar's sorry you dropped you're beer 😪 also good to see the boys always looking forward to seeing Friday's videos thanks for sharing bigstackd
Another awesome Friday melt! One quick question: When you get copper covered aluminum does that get alloyed into the aluminum or does it just burn off? I always wondered what happens in that case, thanks. Keep the melts coming, it’s all appreciated!
Given that aluminum has a lower melting temperature than copper, it gets alloyed in. Believe the melting temperature of aluminum is 660 C, where copper is, I think, 1089 C. If the copper is melted, it's more likely that some of the aluminum is being burnt off.
@@FynnR here in the US in my part of Florida we have 1 scrapyard in the area and they typically will sell it for double the price they pay for it so steel currently is 8¢lb or 20¢/kg so you would but it for 40¢/kg you can buy 500lb for like $25 on average
@@FynnR yeah in the US scrap prices are at an all time high because so is inflation, I am a bladesmith so I cast Aluminum and Copper for aspects of my knives and swords. It’s extremely easy here i take old soda/beer cans and melt them along with old power tools and electronics
