Dad passed away a year ago this October. I saw a shirt somewhere on the internet that said “You can never have to many pressure cookers.” I so wished that I had gotten it for him. @@bonitadaine6187 Thank you so much for sharing your story about your Dad. It is quirky things like this that make our loved ones special and we can remember with fondness. My Dad used to do impersonations of Eric Morecambe (Morecambe and Wise were a comedy duo in the UK), it still makes me smile 44 years after he took his own life and I still miss him every day. Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45, bigger than cancer, heart disease, etc, etc. We must do more to support them so they do not see it as the only way out. 😥🤗

Thx for the video Renee. I would try a long masonry drill bit in the dutch boy pretzel tin. Go gently in a line careful not to hit the bottom or side. Then tap the line of holes with a masonry chisel and start sectioning it out. If its plaster it will be easy and flake, if it's cement or mortar it will be tougher but not bad, if it's concrete it will take a lot of patience

On the dutchboy can try an old ice pick start in the middle, try to stay away from the edges because the ice pick might puncture the can, just stay toward the middle . I can think of a lot of liquids you could use but I would, not do that, run the risk of rusting or ruining your can. Good Luck . Great finds I would have picked those 2 last pieces myself so you did good.

If you want to preserve the patina and remove some rust from the tin container, I recommend that you spray CRC MARINE 6-66 on the rusty parts. Maybe do some practice on hidden parts to see how tight the paint is, and eventually wipe off the rest of the lube with a rag.

Everything was fine when it was just CL that people used most of the time and it is so easy to not miss a thing on CL, do mapping, etc. But now most people use FB Marketplace which is fine for most items, but to plan a yard sale day from it is impossible. Setting up alerts sounds intriguing, but still kind of a pain in the butt. On a funny note, there's been times where I've shown up for garage sales I've seen on FB Marketplace to find no sale going on and I sit there scratching my head until I realize it already happened a month ago and I just missed that it was an old post on the listing. Oops! 🤦‍♂️ Anyway, great vid as always! Thanks Renee!

Needed to see what was left in the can to be able to suggest cleaning. If drywall mud vs plaster for old could require different method. Most likely, hammer and flat screwdriver or chisel being careful as get towards edged. Perhaps others know better? Good luck its a great can, but with the weight could be a doorstop! The green bowl is cool, the lamp reminded me of the candlestick from Beauty & the Beast. 👍

Flat screwdriver I believe would be the best option. It's like a plaster type of material. Most of it was all dust/small particle chunks, so I was able to dump it out. The bottom portion though isn't in pieces, so I think the screwdriver and chisel option will be the go-to.

And you know you think this will never break. Well yes it can . Yup I broke it. Made me so mad. I’m glad you got lucky. And nope don’t mind if you put together a few times of trash picking at all. Stay safe and well friend. ☕️☕️☕️☕️🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈💕💕💕💕💯💯💯💯💯💯

Do not be critical of yourself if you miss some opportunities. Life is constantly changing and will bring you some opportunities. If life remained the same, then we should all worry.

"Shoulda-Coulda-Woulda" ...have had a few of those situations! I heard those creaking shoes! That pretzel tin looks like Dutch Boy Paint's design! Yuck, the pawn shops can have all the 70's and 80's records as far as my musical tastes go! Give my pop music of 1920-1970! Also that 12" 78 classical stuff is boat anchor material, hardly any vintage 78 record collector wants them. Those dishes are indestructible. If your tin's contents is plaster or dried cement [unmixed powder], it can be carefully chipped out, if mixed into concrete...a much tougher situation!

Open Facebook, click Market Place icon, notifications, settings, updates, search for curb alert, click bell. You can repeat these steps and change wording to house clean outs, garage sale, free stuff, etc. Just click the bell for alerts each time. Don't forget to set a distance for how far away you want to go. You can do that when you first open Market place. Hope this helps. ❤🐨
