It is annoying when someone is pretty much hyping something like movies, TV shows, or music trying to tell people that they need to watch or listen to in the short story of it yes might spoil stuff but if someone is this happy about it.. it draws you in more than here is a advertisement
I saw this as a kid, it really really scared me I had trouble sleeping. I had a very vivid and crazy imagination so I kept picturing the monster in my closet in the darkness waiting for me to fall asleep so it could eat me alive…horrifying I know
What's really crazy are old family films. In the 80s they advertised the Terminator and RoboCop to kids, which was weirdly common at the time. Same story with the 1970s Bad News Bears which was PG but that movie was more of a hard R then the remake with Billy Bob Thornton: the 70s Bad News Bears had the N-word, kids swearing, Walter Matthau drunk off his ass, an 11 year old talking about her classmates getting on birth control, and a bunch of kids get drunk.
Actually I am curious of that “Mostly Ghostly” series as I who is a fan of R.L. Stein’s work have honestly never heard about. I am still a fan of Goosebumps, Haunting Hour, Fear Street, and his more child friendly Ghost’s of Fear Street. Hell my favourite one was “Hide and Seek” where the “villain” who tried to trick our hero got trapped in a girl’s body because our hero got so scared that he bailed minutes after the game began and actually ended saving himself from being possessed by our villain
I have such a fond memory of this movie. One of the very few times me and my sister agreed on something to watch. Went to netflix saw this, and was like hey R.L. Stein, that's the goosebumps guy. We love goosebumps, this has to be ok. It was great, definitely not perfect by any means. The acting was decent, the suspence was just as good if not better than the Haunted Mask Goosebumps episode, and the Practical Effects were amazing. Heck, they still stand up really well for the early 2000's. I'm surprised that more people don't know about this movie. I guess everyone just thinks about the show, or the books when they think "The Haunting Hour". I always try to show this movie to people around halloween, it's always a good time. Anyways, Love The Vids. Much Love, Peace Out!

Does that make me a terrible person? I’m glad I’m not the only one who was annoyed by Max. As a guy who loves to write for fun, the moment he turned off Cassie’s computer and effectively deleted all her work, I instantly didn’t feel bad about what came after. Brothers can be annoying but this kid was just infuriating at times.

Monsterville is corny trash but I love it. The writing isn't that great but it's a fun watch. I also watched I think all of the mostly ghostly movies. It's funny because I was scared of the first two when they came out but after a while I just found them to be decent watches as I got older. It was a pretty good intro into horror for me when I was younger.
I completely forgot about this movie, my little brother was in love with it when we were younger! I remember picking this up for five bucks back when Target used to sell children’s horror movies/shows like Goosebumps around Halloween. So much nostalgia came rushing back watching this video!
One of my favorite creepy things about this movie is this little fun fact: I'm pretty sure it's earlier in the scene at 14:15, you can actually see The Evil Thing move in the window. Not a quick little flash, it's there in plain sight and lumbers away towards the door. It's really creepy when you notice it, and it actually formed my taste in horror scares when I was younger, having some kind of creature that's lurking in plain sight but unannounced until the scare later on (Hereditary kind of does this with the spirits, for instance).

I had a friend sleep over when this movie came out on Cartoon Network. I was so excited and we were hyping it as soon as the commercials came on. We were building it up like it was some intense, rated R, scary movie and we were daring each other not to look away when it was on. It was not that scary but we still had a great time 😂
I first watched this movie in second or third grade, which was roughly a decade ago and it still psychologically torments me to this day. Some nights I'll be sleeping peacefully then my brain is like "The Evil Thing isn't real... unless you think about it."
Thank goodness!! I'm so sorry you had to fight the copyright on this but all good things to those who wait. I remember when this aired and how stunned I was wearing it was good ol RL Stine. Than of course, we got the Haunting Hour series and learned this man could always go darker. It's really made me appreciate all the levels of his material. From campy and cheesy in Goosebumps. To more mature in Haunting Hour: don't think about it. To flat out dark in Haunting Hour
The trailers for this gave me nightmares for like 3 months straight. The idea of a monster manifesting in my closet and dragging me off to some horrible place, never to see my family and friends again, just because I happened to think about it was utterly paralyzing.
My brain knows that these films existed at one point in time. In the other hand, this was a movie that completely blipped from my mind and brought back memories of watching it around Halloween as a kid. 😂
Halloween has always been my favorite time of year, since I was very very young. I remember when this movie came out! I was in 4th grade. I loved this movie SO much and it creeped me out immensely when I was a kid. I would watch it every year and thoroughly enjoyed it even though it did have an effect on me. I would get scared whenever I would see a pile of leaves spin in a circle for a few years after seeing this movie 😂. This movie gives me so much nostalgia, lots of feelings. Thank you for this video!

I had a friend sleep over when this movie came out on Cartoon Network. I was so excited and we were hyping it as soon as the commercials came on. We were building it up like it was some intense, rated R, scary movie and we were daring each other not to look away when it was on. It was not that scary but we still had a great time 😂

I first watched this movie in second or third grade, which was roughly a decade ago and it still psychologically torments me to this day. Some nights I'll be sleeping peacefully then my brain is like "The Evil Thing isn't real... unless you think about it."

I remember when this aired and how stunned I was wearing it was good ol RL Stine. Than of course, we got the Haunting Hour series and learned this man could always go darker. It's really made me appreciate all the levels of his material.
From campy and cheesy in Goosebumps. To more mature in Haunting Hour: don't think about it. To flat out dark in Haunting Hour
The trailers for this gave me nightmares for like 3 months straight. The idea of a monster manifesting in my closet and dragging me off to some horrible place, never to see my family and friends again, just because I happened to think about it was utterly paralyzing.
I was really bummed when I saw this video had been removed. Really glad it's back up so we can all enjoy it.

Halloween has always been my favorite time of year, since I was very very young. I remember when this movie came out! I was in 4th grade. I loved this movie SO much and it creeped me out immensely when I was a kid. I would watch it every year and thoroughly enjoyed it even though it did have an effect on me. I would get scared whenever I would see a pile of leaves spin in a circle for a few years after seeing this movie 😂. This movie gives me so much nostalgia, lots of feelings. Thank you for this video!

I've seen this movie and I think it's alright. Didn't know Emily Osmen starred in this movie. I hardly recognize her due to her goth look in this. Feel bad for her character here.
