    Thank you!! I completely forgot how this process works. It's been so long since I've used my lil Beamo, but I need back up so I hope it still works.

    That was great Dav, very clear and easy to follow. I’m hoping you’ll do a video on adjusting the optical path for the Beamo at some point, as I’m sure you would be a lot easier to follow than the manual!!

    So glad I found your videos about the Flux laser, because you not only take about the maintenance, but you show how to do it, seeing how good is the build of the machine. I'm deciding between the Beamo or Beambox Pro ...I'm seeing too, on your work table (laser) a hashtag #RyobiNation and see that your logo color scheme is like Ryobi ...so I assuming you like the tools ...so part of my research for laser is a nice tool combo of tools, debating between Makita, Ryobi, Dewalt ...just to give a little info, my laser would be in my smallest room of my condo (yes, I have done all the research about venting and I'll need and extra inline fan like the Infinity 6" to have even a more stronger exhausting ratio) ...so any recommendation would be. greatly appreciate. Thanks.

    Use an aquarium air pump to drain water and a angle neck poly squeeze bottle to fill.

    So helpful, thank you. I get really anxious doing things like this to my Beamo so seeing someone do it is a big help. Quick questions, in the manual it says to take the laser head and plug the air outlet into the water pipe to blow out the water the other side. Seeing as I am really nervous to do something wrong do you think I should follow that step or is manually blowing the water out so easy that any fool (me) can do it?

    • @DavGlass
      @DavGlass  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just did it the old fashioned way. As long as there aren’t any chemicals in the water it should be fine.

    Do I absolutely have to drain the water to replace the distilled water? Why can’t I just add?

    Hi!… what if I did all this on my flux beam box and it still says there is no water ? Does that mean I might need a new co2 cartridge?

  • @corenpaige

    How often should someone typically change the water in any CO2 laser cutter?

    • @DavGlass

      Each one recommends a different time. I usually do mine once a month when I do a cleaning of the machine. But my machines are used quite often.

    what size Allen key are you using? none of mine are fitting even though im using 2.5mm, i lost the one provided with the machine.

    Great video, Dav! Thanks. I'm looking at buying one of these. Question: Do you know if these machines can do a precise, scale-accurate cut from a DXF file? I work in AutoCAD and all of my stuff needs to be accurate to 1/64". I bought a Glowforge, which was a total mistake for my needs. I'm hoping this one might work better. Thanks again for the great video.

    • @DavGlass
      @DavGlass  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly can’t answer that question. I’d recommend sending FLUX a message on Facebook and asking their techs.

    What is the purpose of changing the water?

    • @DavGlass
      @DavGlass  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just like any other machinery with a coolant, it gets dirty with age. Changing the water regularly will extend the life of the tube & machine.

    • @DavGlass

      @@user-dn2sk5uo3l This was the original water shipped. It likely has chemicals in it to keep it from freezing during shipment. As for changing it, I have a regular schedule for changing them. About every 90 days I do a full clean on them.

    what part of the country do you live in? Do you run your machines in your garage year round (what's the average temp that you run your machines?)

    • @DavGlass
      @DavGlass  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I live in Southern Illinois and my lasers are always in my garage. It’s insulated but not heated. Normal temperature in the garage is always above 40°F. I try to make sure it’s above freezing in the shop.

    Hello! In this Beambox laser machine that has, as a production model, the 40 watts laser tube, can I change it to a 50 watts laser tube?

    • @DavGlass
      @DavGlass  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No you can not. The tube also needs the proper power supply to power it. So the 40w beambox needs a 40w tube.
