I have to thank you for my nails...you did a video a while back going into detail about this method and from that date on I have long nails, they don't break...so for anyone reading the comments it really works. I remembered you said your nail type was "Dorito" and thought it was funny and at the same time I realized mine where the same. So again thank you so much for sharing and Happy New Year.

Nope both my middle and pinky are short compared to my other nails
I must add that the clear should be applied under the nail, the back side. This protects the nail from water which softens the nail and as they dry they tend to split, the layers separate and they'll become brittle.

my tips:
-don't wet your nails unless necessary. duck nails are softer and more prone to breaking.
-oil your nails and cuticle as MANY TIMES as you can. Jojoba oil works best.
-put the oil on the TIP of your finger so that your nail bed can absorb it better.
-ALWAYS have nail polish on!
-don cut your cuticles just scrape the excess skin off and push it back with other nails.
-don't do heavy work with your hands that can put pressure on your nails. like opening a can, use a damn spoon.
-don't use nail strengtheners unless you have paper-thin nails.
-dont bleach or buff your nails. makes them weak.
- BE PATIENT. it grows faster for some people and slower for others.
DON'T bite your nails.
I know its harder said than done because I was a nail biter too.
tips for not biting your nails.
-Always have nail polish on.
-remove all dry bits of skin around your fingers coz that's why I usually used to put them in my mouth.
-make your nails look pretty so you wouldn't want to bite them.
-watch nail art videos and wish that you can do them. gives you inspiration and motivation.
-take pictures every 2 weeks to track your nail growth again to keep yourself motivated.
-bite something else! chew gum!

I watched this the first time I decided to start growing out my nails. I’ve had the habit of biting nails for years but after I tried this, it was only the beginning. Today my nails are soooo long and nice

I have been biting my nails all my life. my nails have never been long. My nails weren't even an inch long! I use to bite them until my fingers were sore or bleeding. This was due to an anxiety disorder as well which I suffered from most of my life. Finally after many tries I was able to stop last year (at the age of 24) I grew my nails long in only 4-5 months. My secret? I left them alone. No nail Polish or chemicals. (which wasn't hard since I never could Polish them before) I would wash them when I would wash my hands, then apply a basic oil on them (coconut oil or whatever oil was available) and that was it. :-) So far no nails have broke on me (knock on wood.) I didn't watch them grow or worry myself about it. I feel like people make this harder than it needs to be. Want long nails? Make healthy decisions and leave your nails alone. Use gloves when washing dishes, stop putting on nail Polish everyday, oil your nails after they've been in water to prevent over "dryness" (which typically leads to breakage) etc.. I'm just thankful that my nail bed wasn't destroyed beyond repair from 20+ years of extreme nail biting. Others weren't so lucky. With that said, I loved the nail tips and I am going to try a few of them to keep my long nails and to make sure they stay healthy and long. :-)

I’m glad to learn from you! I’ve been bitting my nails from childhood till I’m 27 now...I finally decided to let it grow without biting on them. I have tried many times to stop 🛑 but with the help of God it just happened since a month now my nails are finally looking good.

How to stop biting ur nails: Keep ur hands busy, use a fidget spinner or squishy, nail biting is a sign ur either nervous or bored, do something, or face ur fears, you may also be hungry, go eat, hope this helped
Lizzie Scott I used to bite my nails all the time for about 4 years and then after being constantly told about what a bad habit it was I tried to stop biting them. I finally stopped biting my nails and now they grow out fine.
to helps stop u can put nail polish remover on ur fingers so when u put them in your mouth it will taste bad making you stop.

One thing I've noticed is that whenever I get acrylics my nails grow really long under the false nails.

The only problem with getting acrylics is that there is an ingredient in it that can slowly break down and damage your natural nails.

I watch your videos every now & again just cause you actually have long, NATURAL nails. I, myself, am trying to grow my nails out, with slow progress, but for ME, 1 tip I ALWAYS use, that actually WORKS in drying my nail polish quicker is I apply my homemade cuticle oil on each cuticle, then gently swoop it down over my whole nail polish with the crease of one of my other finger on the opposite hand. This may sound crazy, but it ACTUALLY WORKS :)

I use coconut oil all over including my nails and hair during summer. I smell nice and my nails benefit too.

Everytime I apply more than two coats of polish, it flakes off and lifts in hours. What am I doing wrong? I wrap my tips and have clean oilfree nails before.
just get a different base coat, i promise it will work
I have the same problem. I have tried several clear coats and dislike the way it peels and flakes off. I do not have this problem with nail polish though. That will last me 3-5 days.

I really do hope this works. I have problems with biting my nails really short and I want to have the nice long pretty nails most girls have.
I use a cuticle cream like 3-4 times a week after I wash my hands. I use a cuticle oil when I do my manicures and pedicures and maybe once or twice a week. And don’t grab things with your actual nails. Use your knuckles, tweezers, a spoon, the back of a knife, or the fingerprints of your hands to grab things. That way you don’t risk breaking the nail. 💅🏽

im a severe nail biter, almost my entire 50 yrs, my fingers/nails get so sore they bleed, well now ive been diagnosed with breast cancer i jokingly told my DD i want nice nails in my coffin lol
she went out and bought me a maximum growth polish, a buffer, some bio oil, and a glass nail file, and she sits and does my nails every night, bless,
i can see a small amount of growth (stuff under my nail ) when im cooking or cleaning, so thats good eh, i dont want mega nails like yours, pretty as they are, i just want pretty rounded nails i can polish and look good when i go out, (not often ),
anyway, just a thank you for your videos which are lovely and give me hope whilst i go for many treatments and tests for my condition,

In her other video about maintaining length (the link is in the description) she mentions removing your manicure after a week. The paint gets brittle and it can cause your nails to break. So, one week max. :]

Honestly, that tip about applying nail polish.... I SO needed that. I thought that'd be bad for my nails, so I avoided that. But I always get snags!!! I hope that tip will help. Thanks for sharing!
I tried her tip about using base coat daily, and that helped sooooo much! That, and wearing gloves while washing dishes, really helped. I grew out my nails to the longest I've ever had, which was really exciting 😁!

I have been trying to grow my nails for three weeks but they have not even grown a center meter so what i am doing this is day one and i already love it!. Get raw garlic. Cut in half .then rub it on your nails and cuticles. Poke holes to get lots of juice . Then once u have rubbed it on all ur nails dice it up and put it into a garlic press then rub that on ur nails ans cuticles do not wash off do it two times a day and onve before bed and sleep with it on.i love this because garlic helps grkw your nails faster and stronger and it lwaves them shiney looking!

Hello, thanks for the reply. I don't think that is how my nails grow because it is when the nail gets detached from the skin. For example, if you're holding something weird and then it goes under your nail pretty deep, the smile line(or whatever it's called) has an indent now. With that example, that's not how my nail grew it, that happened on accident. I guess I should've asked if there's a way to help it reattach the nail plate to the nail bed?
Gaby Estevez I recently started taking biotin and watching these videos because my natural nails are so pitiful. I have worn fake nails for many years, often bought at the store, because my short nails are so depressing. Once my left ring fingernail got so infected that the nail bed detached WAY down like a huge pocket!!!! The bottom of the pocket was just a few millimeters away from the cuticle. It scared the crap out of me. I literally soaked that nail in bleach trying to kill anything that might be causing infection.

I tried EVERYTHING. but my nails, especially one specific one, keep splitting and breaking. No matter how much oil i use, no matter what strengthener. I try so hard to grow my nails super long but there never reaching my desired length without breaking.
There was a time when my nails were long but I dont know what changed. I dont have any health issues.

Could be the shape of your nails try and notice where it breaks of if it's at the same spot each time, my index finger on my right was always breaking till I noticed that it was at the side walls when the whites grow so now I file that part off and now my index finger is long, because of the weak point it would peel, break etc then affect the rest of the nail as the tear got wise. Some nails don't like being shaped in squares but like rounds and ovals and vice versa

Wow you made my day. This sounds sooo easy. Other videos they show mixing ingredients and they have stuff that I don't normally have in my house. But I have a nail filer, baby oil, and nail polish for the bace coat. I can't wait to try it!!
