    This is too nice for a washcloth. I am not sure what I will make with this stitch but thank you. You made this very easy to understand.

    I love the color of this yarn! For some reason I just can't get the bean stitch...😔 I am trying to make a baby blanket for my grandson who is coming 1 week & a day away. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! 🧶🧶😊

    • @lovelifeyarn
      @lovelifeyarn  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have trouble with the regular bean stitch because I can't seem to pull my hook through all the loops correctly. This is a modified version that only leaves 4 loops on your hook. Think of it as starting a sc, then yarn over and pull up a loop (4 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through all 4 loops. I used this same stitch for my Elegant Ombre Baby Blanket - there is a video tutorial for it on my channel, too. I hope this is helpful!

      Try the corner to corner stitch. It works up soo fast and is simple,mindless when you get it down.

    Can I use Arylic red heart for this project? Blair

    • @allyalred7460
      @allyalred7460 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A lot of people use acrylic yarns for washcloths. I have used both for scrubbies & washcloths. I prefer cotton because it’s stiffer and feels more durable. However, I think either would work fine.

      I've personally never made an acrylic washcloth, but since acrylic washes well and keeps its shape I think it would work fine, just like Ally said :D

    When you finished the square and were about to do the border you said you "turned". What did you mean? Did you actually turn your work as though you were going to do another row but turned and began the border instead? I wish that you actually showed what it is you did there, borders aren't my forte. I'm not a beginner, I've been crocheting for many years, but I need clear instructions because I'm picky about following them very carefully and it's not clear to me what it is that happened there. Otherwise, great video, clear, concise, and a very nice stitch. Thanks!

    • @lovelifeyarn
      @lovelifeyarn  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Yes, turn like you are going to do another row and work the border instead. :)

      I'm sorry you had trouble with this pattern, but it is not written for a beginner. You will need some basic crochet skills to complete this more advanced stitch. There are lots of other, more beginner-friendly patterns on my channel :)
