People are afraid of aliens because stories tell us that the first thing they do is cut us open. We think that's horrible and monstrous, yet when watching this animation, I think we can all agree that the curiosity of humanity would lead us to do exactly the same.

It's like in Lovecraft's Mountains of Madness. The human explorers think the Elder Things are dead and vivisect them. Then they awake and, seeing what the humans did, the Elder Things do the same to them.

I think the reason we're afraid of Aliens is because we know what we'd do to them and worry that they'd do worse.

2:57 Real talk, if I was working in a military base's infirmary and saw _that_ on our new prisoner, I'd probably just drop my tools, walk straight to the mess, nick a couple bottles of whiskey and a chair, and walk to the opposite end of the island to get wasted until this all blows over, all the while whistling the chorus of _"Fuck This Shit, I'm Out"_ by The Theme Song. At least if I got black-out drunk, the liquor would somewhat dull my perceptions and memory formation to whatever impossible madness is about to go down. And if anyone tried to impede, threaten, or reprimand me, I would not give a damn to anything short of a squad of MPs training their guns on me. Hell, being thrown in the brig for insubordination or desertion would probably be the second safest place to be when the shit inevitably hits the fan.

In story I'm writing main character is a sort of nyarlathotep, only good thing about him is him preventing the Azathoth like figure from consuming the world, of course he does it for self gratification, establishing cult around himself, remaking the people and environment in his image, crawling towards singularity, but his own indulgent nature prevents him from turning his victims into mindless automatons.
I didn't even start by writing a lovecraftian story, characters over time grew into the lovecraftian molds.

I have lost two cats in my life and I can tell you it is not the death that hurts it is the fact you mistake things when they are gone you expect a meow and find silents you expect a rub on your leg yet feel nothing you think a loud call is gonna come for dinner or breakfast yet nothing happens that is what makes you feel sad it's what really hurts, now what happens when you die and you feel the relaxation of your limbs and body as they flop no more care or worry free in the world as a spirit then you get thrust back into the corpse of your old self and now you are tormented by the corpse and pain of your nerves as you are forced to move and suffer every movement your simply something feeling what would be endless increasing agony as you want to return to peace in death that is the fate worse than death so the man here being banished from death and doing what he did I do not blame him as many would want somebody to understand what they are going through the same way as all you would want is some sort of revenge against the tormentor and from what was told death banished the iron head man to the worse fate he could so why not take people form him by bringing them to life and going against the nature of death and the guy which caused you to live through hell plus like I said before you want somebody to feel the same way you do and if you are undead what better way to have people understand what you go through by reanimating the corpses of people to have them to be undead to

    I counted 12 before....
    🤣🤣🤣
    priceless.
vocal "gravel" excessive to the point of distraction early on, but it seemed to balance out.
the art and filters are on point.
    THANK YOU!

Very well done. I was a little confused by the scene in the hallway where the human/creature "gazed" at him, but it's head was nothing but snakes, I was wondering where the gaze was coming from. But this is far better than anything I could do, so no disrespect.

I loved it. The voice of the man of the sea when he says "I was cursed to the sea" is a bit silly, but other than that, I was hooked, well done.
