If not careful, breaking up a company with great renovation will hinder the America competitiveness with other countries.

Seems like Apple is the bigger loser as most people even if presented options would choose Google anyway.

Because they are better than much of Apples app, that come by default.
Heck, I would like Samsungs photo app to be better than it is. But Googles' photo is fsr better.

The VC's hate Lena Kahn's policies of equal outcomes for businesses. So, it's not believable when the guest said "from across the technology industry.... overwhelming support our tech cases". Ask Vinod Khosla, Reid Hoffman, Marc Andreessen, Ben Horowitz.

Big companies who are making money are called monopoly?😂 Sounds like someone is jealous that others are more successful.
This is the most stupid case, and looks like someone is bored and wanted to gas-light successful people.

Google has a great product and should not be broken up. If they are, it's a massive loss for the American people

How is Amazon not monopoly then? How is local realtor board not anti-trust or monopoly then?

    • @mchammer5592

It’s not so much proving that monopoly exists, but proving that it has a large market domination which effectively bars other competitors from entry due to the massive scale.
Personally I have no idea why any “information gate keepers” are allowed to exist. Google, meta, large media conglomerates, etc. if you need to advertise and you literally have no choice but to hand Google or meta all your money to have any effect, how is this good for anyone but them.

If you‘ve ever worked in the advertising business you‘ll immediately notice that nothing can be done without google. Doesn’t matter what kind of ads you run, google always makes sure they get a cut of the revenue

@mchammer5592 Google is not blocking anyone. I have tried Bing and Yahoo, and even Duckduckgo. I did not like them.
It's not the job of the government to give a leg up to companies that can't make themselves better.

So, if I want to pay for a prime location for my store, is it illegal because it is exclusive and no other store can be build in the same place?

    • @zachisaacson2184
      @zachisaacson2184 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

If you write in the contract’s fine print that the realtor can never sell a commercial building like yours again because they do business with you, and you have trillions of dollars to buy them out on the deal to the degree that they can’t say no, yes, it’s illegal.
It seems that the DOJ lawyers are arguing that Google’s exclusivity with Apple was because Google made it so Apple couldn’t work with any of the other competitors. Which if that is true, they need to prove it is in the fine print. They have facts but they also need evidence of malicious intent.

I fell in love with TH-cam a decade ago learning how to renovate my house. I’d open the app and plumbing videos, interior design, DIY electrical all populated in my feed from my favorite channels. Today when I open the app those videos are not the first thing I see. I see the world on fire 🔥 burning 🔥 from channels I never subscribed to. The CEO made the decision to change this algorithm and does not give me an opportunity to change it back. I’d like to hear from the CEO why does he want Americans to feel chaos when they open the app?
