    Thanks for the video. 9/16 does seem high for split finger. I just picked up an A riser yesterday. I shoot split so I’ll keep that in mind.

    Thanks for the informative well done video! I have a 2018 Kodiak Takedown and my nock point is 3/4 above the bottom of the arrow. I have been shooting that nock point height for almost 3 years and I would never change it. While the Fred Bear Takedown is a mass produced bow I am still so happy with it and of course love the look and nostalgia that goes with it. Thanks again.

    Hello, thanks for this video ! I would like to know if you think this bow with B riser and N°#3 limbs (so 64 inches) will suit me with 31 inches draw length. Would it risk to break ? Thank you in advance for your answer. (Sorry for my english)

    We're the broadheads the same weight as your field/target tip?

    Good content! Thank you. Do you have any tips on sharpening the Cutthroats. I cannot get them super sharp.

      Thanks for watching. On the Cutthroat, I use a diamond hone 1st, then 600 wet/dry sandpaper and finish with a strop. I do use the 600 and strop on the backside of the bevel, very lightly. My mistake early on was sharpening at too steep of an angle. No I concentrate on following the bevel. Hope that helps. I am able to get them very sharp now.

    Great video, so I just subscribed. Going to get a 50th Anniversary Bear Takedown soon! And I agree with the "high" nock point not looking correct. Took me a while to get on board with 5/8 of an inch being a correct height. Yep can't get too hung up on what looks right.

      Thanks, you'll love the bow, I think the newer high heel grip is the best. It really fits me, shoots where I'm pointing. Go to my Instagram page and check out a shot I made through a washer a couple days. Really speaks to the fact of good arrow flight and the instinctive nature of a correct grip. TradJag on IG. Good luck with your new bow.

    hello. which is better? 50th anniversary or rambo edition?

    • @neyaker8410
      @neyaker8410  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Neither is better. The Rambo only comes in an "A" riser whereas the 50th anniversary comes in A or B riser. The other difference is the grip design on the 50th has a higher "heel" which is a personal preference, one that I like.

    I could afford one of these(if i eat baked beans every night for a few months). I'd not want to shoot it, it looks so beautiful.

    250 seems stiff for 50 pounds. I run a 100 grain insert.100 grain adapter and a 200 grain tuffhead . Same bow only at 63lbs@28 and a 300 spine gold tip runs perfectly

      Gabe, thanks for watching and commenting. I think the confusion comes from the Carbon Express sizing nomenclature. A Carbon Express Heritage 250 is not actually a 250 spine deflection. The true deflection of the CE Heritage 250 is .394 or 400 Spine. So, to compare it to GT it would be a 400 and that is consistent with a comparison of your rig. Hope that clarifies the confusion. I am shooting a 400 spine (actual spine) arrow cut to 30.5" with a 150 grain point and 50 grain insert.
      Thanks again,

      @@neyaker8410 that makes a lot of sense to me! I was unaware carbon express sized thier shafts that way . You have been a wealth of information . Thanks for putting out such great informative content ..happy hunting!!

    These bear bows are not custom their mass produced. If you want a custom bow call. Lee's. Archery. Or black widow they custom .

    • @neyaker8410
      @neyaker8410  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True, it is however the name of the bow. Also, Black Widow also uses CNC process to build their bows, though not in the quantity of Bear Archery. Both companies hand tiller and finish their bows. The CNC process allows repeatable, consistent products, which is why one can order extra limbs after the fact with the assurance that they will fit the riser. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
