While remodeling of yards generally new x-overs shall be provided, some of yard locations as per remodeling shifting of SEJs i.e. insertion of new, removal of existing SEJs and regarding i.e. 1in400 etc.
SEJ means Switch Expansion Joint shall be inserted end of LWR to permit expansion/contraction of the adjoining breathing lengths due to temperature variations.
After buffer rails various design of SEJs for wider gaps from 80mm single gap, single gap improved to double gap.
Presently using Conventional (single gap) and improved (double gap) SEJs.
Chose the correct location of insertion i.e. chainage as per LWR plan
As per plan suited at site or any shifting as per LWR manual permitted locations i.e. obligatory points like LC, P&C, Bridges, Curves etc.
But in cont but situations Conventional SEJ permitted up to 0.5º curve, where as Improved SEJ up to 2º curve but not in transition curve.
Preliminary arrangements;
Inspection of site where SEJ to be inserted, location shall be ensure that distance between joints 6.5m and wear on rails as per site conditions.
present location one side rails have cyclic wear to avoid that 2 options one changing location, other one is replace of adjacent rail also.
All SEJ components as per drawing, then shifting and assembling at site on both sides kept ready including AT welding team.
जबकि यार्ड की रीमॉडलिंग आम तौर पर नए एक्स-ओवर प्रदान किए जाएंगे, एसईजे की रीमॉडलिंग शिफ्टिंग के अनुसार कुछ यार्ड स्थान यानी नए का सम्मिलन, मौजूदा एसईजे को हटाना और यानी 1in400 आदि के संबंध में।
एसईजे का मतलब है स्विच एक्सपेंशन ज्वाइंट को एलडब्ल्यूआर के सिरे पर डाला जाएगा ताकि तापमान में उतार-चढ़ाव के कारण सांस लेने की लंबाई के विस्तार/संकुचन की अनुमति मिल सके।
बफर रेल के बाद 80 मिमी सिंगल गैप से व्यापक गैप के लिए एसईजे के विभिन्न डिजाइन, सिंगल गैप को डबल गैप में सुधारा गया।
वर्तमान में पारंपरिक (सिंगल गैप) और बेहतर (डबल गैप) एसईजे का उपयोग कर रहे हैं।
सम्मिलन का सही स्थान चुनें अर्थात LWR योजना के अनुसार जंजीर
साइट पर उपयुक्त योजना के अनुसार या एलडब्ल्यूआर मैनुअल अनुमत स्थानों के अनुसार किसी भी स्थानांतरण जैसे एलसी, पी एंड सी, ब्रिज, वक्र इत्यादि जैसे अनिवार्य बिंदु।
लेकिन परिस्थितियों में लेकिन पारंपरिक एसईजे 0.5º वक्र तक की अनुमति देता है, जबकि बेहतर एसईजे 2º वक्र तक लेकिन संक्रमण वक्र में नहीं।
प्रारंभिक व्यवस्था;
साइट का निरीक्षण जहां सेज डाला जाना है, स्थान यह सुनिश्चित किया जाएगा कि जोड़ों के बीच की दूरी 6.5 मीटर और साइट की स्थिति के अनुसार रेल पर पहनें।
वर्तमान स्थान एक तरफ रेल में चक्रीय पहनने से बचने के लिए 2 विकल्प एक स्थान बदलते हैं, दूसरे को आसन्न रेल की जगह भी बदल दिया जाता है।
ड्राइंग के अनुसार सभी एसईजे घटक, फिर दोनों तरफ साइट पर शिफ्टिंग और असेंबलिंग को एटी वेल्डिंग टीम सहित तैयार रखा गया।
