The building is magnificent and it adhears to Zimbabwe ancient architecture ,it would have been better if it was a 100% Zimbabwe endeavour but cooperation isnt a bad way to build ,this is arguably the most beautiful parliament building in southern africa all off africa

Totally agree. China don’t build and give things for nothing. They will want to take your land and mine your minerals when you can’t pay back.. I wish Africa and all its people every success, I so wish Africa could build its empire for itself, you have an amazing country and if only Africa could build to bring tourism to your country it would be very very rich. I chose to visit Africa this Sept and staying for a month, it’s the one place on the planet that I have always wanted to visit and experience, however the new parliament building isn’t on my tour agenda, I want to see the people and the beauty of your country.
by the way the Parliament was designed by Zimbabweans and most of the construction work done by us. Chinese made the supervisions and monitoring since they are familiar with these types of structures

Surely it is the poor of our nation who receive priority for shelter in Zimbabwe... politics can be housed under the trees of our country... amongst the people of our country.
It's wise to invest our money in the critical areas that boosts our economy. Why not boost our power generation, boost agriculture and manufacturing. What will a new Parliament building bring to a delapidated economy , nothing. Parling means discussions that are crucial to enact policies that deal with critical issues of a nation.This is a way in which Zanu thugs siphon money into their own pockets. These deals do not have legislative approval, its Zanu pf who do it , inflate the figures and pocket the difference.
Big countries always seek to have some kind if influence in the small one or allies. But to be honest there is a bigger difference between what China is doing compared to western powers. See something infrastructure is there leaders go eg Mugabe. But Road , bridges, hospitals ports are there for the citizens. Imagine if U.S decided to helpe African countries with infrastructure investments. They have the capacity but they choose not to... then complain about China.. makes you wonder how really care about Africa's interest.
America and friends want all African countries to kneel down for them because they are the bosses of the world, they would like to fix you so that you can hear what they say and be their puppet, they still have that colonialism into their brains.
With due respect, the building takes it all. this is a masterpiece of engineering. its classic, out of our world. my concern is why do they fly the Chinese flag on the national parliament. worse on the center.
