    At 6 million tonnes per Annum, Zimbabwe will be the supplier in chief to all African countries.
    I also suspect that the lack of developments at NRZ is partly due to the long awaited coming on stream of this plant. Certainly High speed rail will become achievable given the local Steel sourcing complemented by localized Lithium batteries & Solar panels.
    At this point it’s very difficult to not see Vision 2030 coming of age. I have been to Zim 3X in the last year and the rapidness of development is nothing short of Astounding. Back in December it took me 4Hours Hre-Masvingo, last week April 22 it took me 2hours 45 mins.
    Keep up the good work Mr President ✊🏾

    This will not get anywhere, as long as Chinese and Zanu pf are involved.
    Zimbabweans are good at talking but nothing goes on after this.These are projects for Zanu pf thugs, and a lot of lies are said about this.
    A few years ago, we heard of Kariba expansion and up to now we are importing power from other countries.
    As long as our power supplies are low, gripped by inflation, and looting and plunder by politicians such projects will not benefit ordinary citizens.
    It's simply a waste of time and energy, how is this Chinese debt going to be paid, it's simply recolonization by the Chinese.

    WHY is the govt ignoring its people crying for a GOOD HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. People are dying from treatable health problems because there is no medicine in Zimbabwe. Qualified nurses and doctors are living in poverty and some moving overseas to get jobs and improving other countries' health care with the skills they should be using in ZIM. When it comes to health care Mr Mnangagwa you FAILD and I'm disappointed as a Zimbabwean. You are selfish and greedy, your children have it all sorted while the rest of Zimbabwean people are suffering. Leadership is not in you, you shouldn't be a leader of our country. I lost my brother because of poor health care system.

    This is certainly a possible-good project BUT the devil is in the detail. The Chinese are in this project, not for Zimbabwe but for themselves. Nothing wrong with that, except we need a win-win situation (win for China & a win for Zimbabwe). I don't see that happening with the current crop of leadership (ie. political and business leadership). They are always good at posturing and not protecting the interests of Zimbabwe (short/medium and long term). Vakango pihwa twuma trinkets and fake suits, they just sell Zimbabwe down the drain like that.
    For example, the Chinese have a tendency of importing all they will use from China (including picks/shovels/whelbarrows) of which real-wealth building associated industry could grow. And guess who allows them to do that! In other countries that would certainly not be allowed.
    It is disappointing how naive Zimbabweans can be. We are always grateful for crumbs when we could develop our own bread-making machines. Zimbabwe should by now be a juggernaut on several fronts. There are so many good-on-paper-but-failed-deals in Zimbabwe because of our psyche and self-deprecation. I hope this is not going to be one of them.😰

    • @frankiedehockie
      @frankiedehockie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      1- Where do you want the Chinese to import the products to build the plant- from the US ? Lol😂
      2- Do Zimbabwe produce wheelbarrows or picks for the project to procure them locally?
      Short the waning and celebrate - Zimbabwe is about to achieve what African countries have been crying for - adding value to minerals and not just exporting raw ore.
      Liberia and Guinea, the other two large ore miners do not have steel plants. The Australians are the miners in these countries.
      Liberians would be celebrating if a steel plant was being built to add value to their ore.

    • @mzd_shombori6580
      @mzd_shombori6580 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@frankiedehockie Zimbabwe used to produce wheelbarrows, picks etc and that can be revived through participation in this kind of projects by being part of the supply chain. Zimbabwe certainly has residual capacity to re-start producing all this. That kind of participation would help in reviving Zimbabwe's downstream/support industries.
      I am not being insulting, unfortunately this is the kind of attitude that ensures our colonisation and not real and enduring wealth building for Africa; yesteryear it was by the west and now from the east. It is so sad how we celebrate "Bread-crumps" when the flour is ours.😥

    • @frankiedehockie
      @frankiedehockie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mzd_shombori6580 Zimbabwe used to doesn’t count.
      Zimbabwe is giving the biggest opportunity in Africa, a chance to achieve the African promise/wish: to add value to raw material and not just export them. You got a billion factory/plant being built and you crying where the building materials coming from?

    • @mzd_shombori6580
      @mzd_shombori6580 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@frankiedehockieDid it ever occur to you that resuscitation of allied-Zimbabwean industries (by sourcing from them) is more beneficial medium - long term. The billion-dollar venture is not for "free". Africa is replete with these so called amazing multi-million dollar ventures that never really helped us. 🤔

    • @frankiedehockie
      @frankiedehockie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mzd_shombori6580 if materials and products can be sourced locally, it will be source. No rational business will buy a product from thousands miles away instead of buying that same product locally - granted both products have the same quality and specialty.
      Now, which product being used on this project that can be source locally is not being source?
      Nothing is free. It’s business. The Chinese not doing Zimbabwe a charity or favor.
