    Hi Possie Adventures,
We are enjoying your very practical mods and tips.
The Supreme Leader and I are picking up a CX22 in a 3 months. I see you have a Ford Ranger towing your van. I was wondering how the Ranger is at towing such a large van, is it stable enough? does it have enough power? we were looking at getting a bt50 which is a pretty similar size tow vehicle.

The Ranger does great, no problem at all, we have done a suspension upgrade, but it tows beautifully;)

Hi there, we have just ordered a CX22 (due for build in September 2023) and have found this very helpful. Just a question regarding the modification you made to the table to make it more stable when turning it into a bed, where did you purchase the legs? (they look IKEA or Bunnings to us) and did you have to cut them down or were you able to find the right size?

The legs did indeed come from Bunnings :) Yes I did have to trim them down slightly. Enjoy your van, they are fantastic :)

@@Richard-Tanya We stumbled upon them at the last Caravan Camping Show in Adelaide (a week or so ago). We had been looking at vans for 15 years (but not seriously) and each Show settled on something different. But this one we were sold on from the start, love the quality and love the room. Craig is 6'2, so the height is great for him, and we also love the bigger shower. We have a bi-turbo Ranger to tow with, and both a bit nervous because we've never towed a van before, but we will work it out, I'm sure!

@@sandyspencer5603 this was our first van also and I was also sold on this van the minute I walked on it. It tows well behind the Ranger so you'll be fine there :) The only critism we have on the van is that the aiircon struggles to cool the bedroom, you do need plenty of scirocco fans to move the air :)

Nice mods and a good tour of your van. I wondered about making a toggle for the top of the pantry slide outs instead of the pool noodles?

Yeah, i will work out a tidy solution to it sometime....the pool noodles are effective and easy.....but im sure I can make it nicer :) thanks for the comment.... feedback is always welcomed :)

Hi there. Thanks for the video. I appreciate the very helpful info on your CX22. We have a new one on the way, due for delivery early September. Just a quick question on the reverse camera cable… how did you make the connection from the van to the tow car? I’m struggling to find any info on the connection of the Waeco camera cable, (which has 6 pins), from the van to the tow car.
From what I understand, I have to adapt the connectors to use a “Waza” or “Suzi” setup, I.e.. 6 pin to 4pin on the van, then the 4pin curly lead to the tow car, then back to 6pin for the cable run to the screen? I hope this makes sense.
    Any info would be appreciated.

We just used the screen and cable supplied with the van, simple set up… if you’re planning on running it through the vehicles screen I think you would need to talk with an installer.. Standard screen works well if you have room ;)

@@Richard-Tanya thanks for your reply, my question was more about the connection of the camera cable between the van and the back of the tow car. How is yours set up?

Can I suggest you remove the clamp holding the diesel heater exhaust pipe to the wooden floor of your van and put a longish steel strap there. one: so you don't burn the van. and two: condensation will be able to drain out, instead of pooling in the pipe and causing a blockage.

    • @Richard-Tanya

Yes, I will be looking at sorting the p clamp, its not causing a problem with burning the van, but the trap could well cause a problem with coking up.... I will knock up a bracket from some flat bar to lower it when i get a chance.. Also gotta do something with the diesel tank as the sun is fading it.... may just have to bite the bullet and buy a decent tank... :) Thanks for your comments :)
