- How to apply your eyeshadow perfectly in REAL TIME with very little editing so you can see all the steps I normally do to achieve my eyeshadow looks :) I'm sharing my best tips and tricks for blending eyeshadow and giving your application the most professional results possible. This reminds me of a Bob Ross video for eyeshadow. Obviously the personalities aren’t exact but there’s something really serene about watching the real-time process of art no matter what form it’s in. The way you present yourself is not over the top but it doesn’t have to be. I just really enjoy this.

I love the idea of real time. I’ve never seen anyone else do this. They will just be applying it and saying this is how you do it and then they skip to the next thing. This was totally helpful! Much appreciated!

Your shadow tutorial , step by step, not edited and chopped leaving us to wonder , wait a minute....how did you do that. I saved this and cannot wait to start my makeup this morning! I got a new "metals" colored palette and have been staring at it for couple days. The colors are beautiful, very similar to the one you used. Mine has more gold tones and I think a few matte transition colors. I am gonna get my coffee , push play and see if I can look anywhere close to as beautiful as you are!!!

I think blending is the problem for me too! All the edited tutorials had me thinking blending wasn’t a longer process where you potentially switch between the colours back and forth. It always just seemed to blend so quickly and effortlessly so i had no idea how to do it properly. This is very enlightening.
It looks like there is a lot of blending going on and a lot of time! But the end result is worth it! 💜🍰😀

THANK YOU!! A video like this is so much more helpful than you may realize. Quick tutorials make it seem as though there are 4-5 steps and the look will magically appear on your own eyes if you just follow it, and of course that isn't really the case. It's much more of a process than it can often appear in videos. Very, very helpful to see it happening in real time.
It would also be helpful to explain why you choose each brush, why it will preform the function you need at that moment(you did with a few) and if you can, to give high-end and more affordable options. I understand a decent bit of that, but explaining when you want short/long/medium bristles, how flexible they should be, how much movement they should have, whether they should be densely packed or loosely packed, etc., is really helpful to beginners and anyone trying to improve their skills. I guess I'm describing a brush video, but it's also helpful in tutorials for application.
If anyone is looking for a brush that is similar to the Sigma E25 in a more affordable line, the Morphe M433 is a decent option for around $6. Game-changer for me.

This was one of my problems, along with not knowing how to build up color. I have some Luxie brushes that I adore, and I'm going to try them out trying to follow what she did in this tutorial.
I think I've been guilty of this too and then wondered why things looked patchy sometimes!

People ARE interested in seeing everything you do - they want the results that you get. Every minute of your tutorials is valued.
This was very helpful. So often in tutorials they give the impression that very dramatic, multi step looks can be achieved in 10 minutes & it's just not so. Unless I'm doing a very minimal, no makeup look, it takes at least 45 minutes. If I try & go faster I end up dropping things or stabbing myself in the eye with mascara & then it takes even longer. You have to stop & analyze & sometimes adjust what you've done. And that takes time & focus, especially when you're trying new products:)
@Ham Sammich I'm disabled so I'm not sure what you mean by "get there" And maybe we dont do the same techniques or use the same amount of products so I'm not sure what you're basing yourself on

It's really helpful to see just how much back-and-forth blending work you really do! Your eyeshadow looks are always so flawlessly blended, so I appreciate seeing how much work/attention to detail that really takes.
I wish more people would show tutorials in real time. It shows any struggles you have with the shadows & how well they blend out.

Thank you for being so thorough. It’s hard when you’re watching a tutorial and they’re using tools you don’t own. Thanks for explaining the quality of the type of brush to use. It’s also good to know just how much blending it really takes to get that look. Please consider doing a series like this.
Typically speaking I do not comment on videos I just enjoy watching them and go on about my business. However, I got to say thank you I have been waiting for somebody to do at step by step eyeshadow tutorial with no edits for a long time and you are the first to do that in a very long time. Despite what you think many many people want to see this but nobody does it anymore. So again thanks and I hope that you will be posting another soon!

I love this real time video concept! It helps to know that eye looks take time. Sometimes I forget that real life takes more than 10 seconds of blending that we see on camera & then I think, "why doesn't mine look like that?" I'm loving this look ❤️

I use makeup brush guards after washing my brushes, it seems to help them from becoming splayed out like that. I just search “make up brush guards” on amazon and find 100 pieces for less than $10.

I have never seen anyone clean up eyeshadow with the bone color eyeshadow....what a cool and natural technique! It looked so much better than taking a makeup wipe and a fingernail to cleanup!

My favourite matte black powder is a Spectrum single shape from Avon. I bought it when i was 17. I'm now 53. There's more than half the pan left, and believe me, I've used it heavily in those 36 years!!

This bad habit is one of my favorite palettes. I use it when I'm going out because I can get such a beautiful gradient look so easily.
Loved this! The two tips that I found super helpful game changers: let eye primer dry, and spritz a brush with setting spray for super shimmery shadows!

This is so helpful! The real time is exactly what I needed. I really liked to see that your eyeshadow didn't magically appear to look flawless without you doing the work. I often forget that so much is edited out of an eye look on you tube & then wonder why it takes me so long to do my eye looks. The idea to work with the skin tone first & then to soften the edges is a fantastic idea. Then a general thank you for all your other videos. I really appreciate how you contribute to my own artistry by the spectrum of advice you offer in all your videos, even though it is only doing my own face properly twice a week... I really love it and especially my gradual improvement in what I can accomplish. You are so mindful of the fact that most people can't afford high end products.

I'm 45 and have been wearing makeup since I was 12 and I was a freelancer for awhile, but one thing I always say is; you can never learn enough. There's always new techniques and tips and tricks to learn in the makeup world. ☺ And you are very good at explaining it so we can understand everything. 😊 Loved the colors you used too. I've never been intrigued enough to try Bad Habit, but the way you talked about that palette makes me want to give them a try.
