Lead has not been allowed in shotgun cartridges for more than a decade in Denmark. The Steel kills just fine. I am shooting both old side by sides and modern over and unders… no problems what so ever.
Don't shoot much any more but used steel for doves for years and actually thought it was better. Just use two sizes larger and a choke one size more open. That's really important. But steel is faster and for upland game it kills stone dead.
@@HunterMagpie Having had to shoot it on waterfowl for 30+ years now, steel is a poor substitute, thats why a lot of our serious fowlers here in the US are using other nontoxic shot
Well said Gary. I would say this footage has been very well edited. I have seen pricked birds left right and centre hobbling about wounded. I have seen this for myself on shoot by clever buggers telling everyone how good steel is. You can't compare steel with lead it's not in the same class. I would challenge anyone on a shoot day or scientificly with ballistics.

This is not the accidental partridge content I was looking for.
Those family and friend days are the best .... u have a nice little shoot there ... a couple of game covers . Will help big time ....

Since 1996 indeed. Steel works perfectly fine.
No need to change from lead Europe telling lies like always all about control
Same in the Netherlands.
I really don’t understand why you Brits are so fussing about steel - it brings the birds down just as well as lead shot.
Been using steel shot for 30 years here in Canada. I always use #2 on duck and BB on Geese. No problem.
Very nice video, bro. I feel very happy.
Nice little video !!
Brilliant stuff 👏
Out of interest how much does it cost to shoot there
Great video guys 👍😂
Very good video

I really miss this type of shooting
What a lovely day. Sport as it was meant to be.
That gun is unbelievably naf, sorry has to be said it should never be seen on a game day 😬
I am 80 years of age and have been game shooting since I was 13 years old, and found his gun very refreshing, don't be such a gun snob !

Steel is fine for low days like this but not for the high days. It’s not fair on the quarry.
Bullshit

At 3.47 I would question if steel was being used by the observed recoil.
Steel cartridges are a lot lighter on recoil?
