We NEED a Halo Infinite Part 2. There is some extra ost that are totally worth listen to. The Banished, Gbrakon escape, the escharum ost and of course, The Road. Loved this video, but not just me agreed we really need part 2
Under Cover and Through the Trees were the return of two classic themes from the Bungie era. One of the great things from the Bungie era was themes having arrangements that were used in multiple games, which made certain themes become iconic. They also help you remember specific points throughout the games where you remember that theme being played, for example, you play the main monk chant and I instantly remember Halo Combat Evolved's title screen, Chief giving the Covenant back their bomb in Halo 2, and Installation 08 rising from the Arks forge in Halo 3. Halo 4 and Halo 5 went in a completely different direction with their music, and while I do enjoy the music from both games, they don't hit you like the classics do. But yeah, for Under Cover and Through the Trees, if you want to hear their previous arrangements, you have: Under Cover - Halo CE: Under Cover of night // Halo CE Anniversary: Cloaked in Blackness - Halo 2: In Amber Clad // Halo 2 Anniversary: Trapped in Amber - Halo 3: Halo Reborn - Halo Infinite: Under Cover Through the Trees - Halo CE: A Walk in the Woods // Halo CE Anniversary: Lions and Tigers and... - Halo 2: Heretic, Hero // Halo 2 Anniversary: Zealous Champion - Halo 3: Another Walk
Honestly, Infinite is one of those games where you could react to basically every OST in the game and each one would be worth the time. This game has a lot of issues, but the OST is probably my favorite in the franchise as well.
We need a Halo Infinite soundtrack part 2!! Escharum, Adjutant Resolution, Seeing Phantoms, Sequence, Command Spire, and Hunter’s Dance all have my vote!
I know it's against the usual rules of the channel but if any game needs a part 2 it's this one. Halo Infinite's OST is an absolute masterpiece, and (in my opinion) you've only scratched the surface here.
Tracks you should absolutely listen in a part 2. -Never tell me the odds - Hunter’s Dance - Heavy Artillery - Escharum - Test of mettle - Know my legend - The Road - Judgement - Finale
You've heard some great songs, but it bothers me because I feel like you deserved to hear Horn of Abolition, Tower, Know my Legend, or Hunters Dance. All of those songs are 10/10, and there are even more that I didn't mention. Infinite has an exquisite soundtrack!
Halo Infinite OST needs a Part 2. My favorite Halo Infinite soundtrack is Sequence! But I also love The Road, Chapel, Under Cover, Spire, Heavy Artillery and Finale. Halo Infinite has one of my favorite Halo campaign, and its OST plays a big role in it.
Halo 5 sucks game and storywise but skipping the OST of 5 is a flatout mistake and I'm sorry people misled you to thinking otherwise. Just calling out a spade as a spade. It's a much better and more refined soundtrack than Infinite, Infinite's OST is scaled back because all of the music needed to be seamless to be used in an open world setting, whereas the Halo 5 OST was created for specific moments and environments in the campaign. Light is Green, Blue Team, and The Trials are phenomenal pieces of work and many other tracks are impeccable.
I agree that she should listen to the Halo 5 soundtrack. Though, I also think that Infinite is a step up over the Halo 5 OST. I like a handful of the tracks in Halo 5, but I love a lot of the Infinite OST. Halo Infinite has some open world tracks, but also plenty of songs that are catered to the linear missions. From Halo 5, I love Halo Canticles, Crossed Paths, Rock and Ice, and The Trials (even if The Trials is just a rework of "117" from Halo 4, it fit very well into the game). I personally don't like Light is Green, which is the Locke/Osiris theme. It is a really good theme for a hero character, but I don't think it sounds like Halo. Advent is another good example of an amazing song that I just don't think fits in Halo. Just my opinion though. I think that Kazuma Jinnouchi is an extremely talented composer. I do wish that Neil Davidge was around for the Halo 5 OST to help keep it sounding like Halo. The two of them did a great job on Halo 4 together. Jinnouchi's Halo 4 vol. 2 track "Never Forget - Midnight Version" is one of my favorite tracks of the series.
@@Nichrysalis I don’t remember seeing any comments saying she SHOULD skip 5 on the posts, only that it wasn’t a huge loss. Unless I missed something. Personally I don’t know 5’s OST well enough to recommend anything, but I definitely didn’t recommend skipping it.
@@Key_Mind I kind of agree, but there are some gems that are worth listening to. I also think that most of the H5 OST is good, it just doesn't sound like Halo.

I see a lot of comments asking for part two and i agree! There are still plenty of tracks that are worth the listen such as The Road, Know My Legend, Ransom Keep, Finale, We Do It Together. Honestly this game's OST is full of bangers both on the "in your face" kind of deal and for the mellow - emotional vibes. I personally wasn't all that satisfied with the campaign, BUT if there's one thing ill always give Infinite all the credit for is the soundtrack, its a masterpiece
Endless imo is one of my favorite halo tracks to come out of halo in a long while. The whole mystery of it works so well with how mysterious the endless have been described throughout the game. Id personally put it up there with one of the best to come out of halo
I think the open world in the campaign was pretty fun but i think it would be suited better if levels were more like one much smaller but still fairly open map to give that hint of freedom but still not overdo it. Still really cool seeing all the destructive worldbuilding of the open world to make you wonder what exactly happened like why theres a seemingly dead guardian in the distance and how considering theyre supposed to be an almost unkillable force the size of a regular ship. Which says that the banished came in so quick and fast with their army that they threw a bunch of shit at one of these things just to kill it while barely taking a dent to their own mass forces @carteljameson8395
Fun fact: the composer of Ori’s soundtrack, Gareth Coker, also worked on many of Halo Infinite’s tracks. He’s an absolute genius in musical composition if you ask me
I’m so glad to see someone appreciating this soundtrack. Unfortunately I’m someone quite susceptible to anxiety and panic attacks. But Reverie is a piece of music that really helps me through it. For this game, they released three soundtrack pieces about a year before the game came out, and that was one of them. It helped me through one of the lowest times in my life. Halo has always been there in my life, but Infinite really re-ignited my love for the franchise. So even if you never play the games, sitting and watching your series of blind reacting to the music that has helped save my life has been such a joy beyond words. For a first person shooter about killing aliens, Halo has always been so much more than that, and it’s been amazing to see you grow to understand that through arguably the most understated art in gaming. On behalf of Halo fans everywhere, thank you so much for reminding us of the beauty of this series. And we look forward to more videos in the future! Never forget 🙏
Begging for a part 2! "We do it together" is one of the most emotional tracks that calls back to Halo 3's ost. a few other more action packed gems were missing too. regardless, love the reaction, very chilled out mix.
We Do It Together and What Makes Us Human! I just love all the moments in game that have chief interacting with the pilot and the weapon. Both characters really help make chief feel more solid as a character.
We, as forgers (community map makers), have just got the ability to use music in our maps. We can now create really immersive atmospheres with the whole suite.
You should try a score tierlist sometime with all the soundtracks you've listened to or maybe just in a given period. I think it'd be neat to hear your overall thoughts on all of these projects in one place
So, Halo Infinite's single-player campaign is BY FAR the longest in the series, and its OST is also easily the longest. You have barely scratched the surface of this masterpiece!!! 🥰♥😍😊
Would be interesting if you did a video where you went over the different Halo OST'S again to see which is your favourite (feels like Infinite might be your favourite due to recency bias). It might be a longer video so you could potentially do it as a live stream where viewers vote on tracks you listen to & then you rank them at the end (you could also do a livestream where you listen to them & then make a seperate video where you rank them & give your thoughts on them).
Nah, been listening to the OSTs from these games for years and it’s my favorite as well, behind only MAYBE Halo 3. Every theme it “reuses” from the original trilogy - which by the way those games reused themes a lot too - it improves on. Under Cover and Through the Trees are basically direct improvements of their CE counterparts.
i really love how they brought back the themes that kept coming back throughout the original trilogy like 'under the cover of night' and 'a walk in the woods'
Ooooh! Another Halo soundtrack you CANNOT miss is Jafet Meza’s soundtrack for the SPV3 mod. He does a truly marvelous job with some of the original themes, as well as his own creations.
One of the composers for Infinite's OST is Gareth Coker, who composed the music for Ori and the Blind Forest, and its sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps. This moment (6:12) is such a signature of the OST of those two games, and it somehow worked perfectly in Halo Infinite's mood.
The Halo soundtracks are my favorite OSTs of all time, but I didn't continue playing the games after 3. I've heard a lot about mistreatment of the franchise and of Marty O'Donnell himself, so I've written off the music in these later games. But wow was I missing something great. This is also my first time hearing this and I am astonished at what these composers did here. It's such tasteful arranging and reincorporation of not just the original themes, but every sound, timbre, and texture. I mean, the drum sounds are spot on to the feel of Halo CE. And yet it's also BEYOND the original music in scope. It's so VAST. This music was made with incredible imagination and love.
you should definitely listen to Halo Spartan Assault, tho the game was for mobile then brough to pc, its Soundtrack is very underappreciated and very awesome too
Halo 5's soundtrack is maybe the weakest overall, but, you really should give it a listen. There are some truly spectacular pieces that would be a shame for you to not have experienced.
Emily please please PLEASE we need a part two! You missed out on a lot of the GREAT intense/battle music! Escharum, Silent auditorium, Ransom Keep, Gbrakkon escape, The Road.
Every time I hear a _Halo_ soundtrack, I'm left thinking it's surprising that Microsoft hasn't signed off on a film adaptation yet. Everything from the setting to the plot to the characters to the score just feels like every sci-fi action flick out of Hollywood in the last 30 years or so, _especially_ the ones that use a war as a framing device.
There originally was going to be one. The Halo 3 Landfall Trailer originally started out as test footage for it. It was going to be directed by Neil Blomkamp & produced by Peter Jackson but after it was cancelled Blomkamp ended up making District 9.
@MannerdDesert7 Having seen _District 9,_ I can definitely see the influence that was brought in from the _Halo_ production, at least in the vis-dev department.
@MannerdDesert7 Did they ever share why the project was scrapped? If it was in the works while _Halo 3_ was being developed, it would've been _before_ Microsoft started poisoning the well, so it feels like it would've gone over well with the fans.
@@NitrinoxusDon't think it had anything to do with Microsoft, it was most likely just production issues, they might not have been able to get the funding to do the film to the scale they wanted which may have been why they eventually did a tv show.
Hello! I am seeing many people say that you don't typically do part 2 videos for things like this. I would highly recommend making an exception for this game. It appears that some signature songs were left out of your line up. Great video, thanks!
while listening to this music, imagine yourself in an adventure in space with your AI partner, Cortana (and yes, it was an inspiration of the IRL Microsoft Cortana, the one who speaks in your computer)
The Halo 5 campaign was very bad. BUT THE SOUNDTRACK IS NOT, IT'S INCREDIBLE! The soundtrack has never disappointed in any Halo game. If you decide to react to the Halo 5 soundtrack, "Blue Team" has to be in that video!!
I definitely recommend giving the Halo 2 Anniversary soundtrack a listen. There are quite a few in there that are absolutely beautiful like Moon Over Mombasa, Impart (Similar to Impend), Genesong and Breaking the Covenant
I know I’ve already commented lol, seems a lot of others want a part 2 as well. Personally I’d recommend the following: We Do It Together, Know My Legend, Hunters Dance, The road, House of Reckoning, Never Tell Me The Odds and Adjutant Resolution
What? don't skip Halo 5, You have to listen this Halo 5 tracks: Canticles, Blue Team, Crypt, Cavalier, The Trials and finishing with My favorite: Jameson Locke.
I've been enjoying watching all these Halo soundtrack reactions today, very fun that this one dropped right now! Infinites soundtrack is a good mix of previous soundtracks, kinda an ultimate soundtrack in a way. Halo 5 is a really bad game, but the music is the best part and there are some real gems there. The game should be skipped for players, but the soundtrack shouldn't. One thing I wish they did for Infinites soundtrack is show more how alien and scary, ancient and horrifying Zeta halo is. The reason is probably that they didn't go there in the game (such a missed opportunity), I really hope they do something with that for 7. Though my expectations are very, very low right now.
The Halo 5 soundtrack sounds like the orchestra is being held at gunpoint most of the time, but there’s some good songs in there. It was done by Kazuma Jinnouchi, who contributed the most memorable songs to Halo 4. Anyway, this is the best Halo soundtrack in a decade. They finally got some guys who understood the assignment. Maybe a little same-y but the sound is right. My favorites are by Joel Corelitz. Sequence and Chapel in particular.
Halo 5 has some beautiful tracks that are severely overlooked. As a fan since CE (Halo 2 is my favorite one), Halo 5's score feels like more of a natural evolution of the other soundtracks than Halo 4. Light Is Green, Kamchatka, and Cloud Chariot are super memorable and scream Halo to me, just to name a few. Love your videos, please review 5!
Still throwing this out there but you really need to react to the music of Ace Combat. It'll drop your jaw to the floor. Just to start you off, react to Unsung War from Ace Combat 5 There's also some piano tracks too playing the motif of Unsung War, tracks like 15 Years Ago and Into the Dusk
Definitely need a part 2 to halo infinites ost, if you think this is your favourite so far, I believe the best of infinites music is yet to come for you
Man, "Set a Fire in Your Heart" (and "Know My Legend") would have made such good multiplayer menu music. Instead we got the royalty-free-TH-cam-outro metal stuff.
Halo 5 is more of a spin off than a "sequel" I personally still find it alright Hopefully you give the soundtrack a listen though! (2. Light is Green, 21. Covenant Prayers, 29. Blue Team, 34. The Trials and 35. Jameson Locke are some of my highlights)
I do hope you make time to go back to Halo 5: Guardians. It may be the least-loved of the series, but its OST was outstanding and it did brave things with narrative PoV that bridges both the visual and aural art.
Id just like to point out that some of the songs where you seemed to be vibing the most were new renditions of classic halo songs from halo 1 iirc, ie Under Night and Through the Trees. I really like the new renditions, but wanted to make sure credit is given where due
I feel it's criminal that Marty and Michael don't get any credit when their music gets used. Legally 343 don't have to give them credit, but it's super shitty to do. It just says composed by the new guys, which is a huge stretch for the tracks that are based on the old bangers.
@@Maggaiyeah they should be credited somehow. Im not a fan of marty personally, but no denying his work with Salvatore is legendary. I really like infinites soundtracks, but they entirely build and add nuance on top of material thats existed for many years. All that said, I hope at least Salvatori gets a chance at 343 to at least be an advisor to the new guys
@@Corranhorn122 No sure what Salvatori is up to now, he was let go from Bungie, which is insane. Him coming back to Halo would be pretty amazing, but if so, the rest of the game had to be worthy of him coming back... Yeah, Marty is in a separate the art from the artist situation for me now.

@@blackdog6969we use that too lol
Thats used in the UK too lol
As an American from NJ, I have used "Clocked that" to mean exactly what she said. A recognition to someone's acknowledgement to something else.
I really hope she eventually goes back to the Kirby games, there were so many osts and songs that she missed out on from them all.
I think we NEED a Halo Infinite react part 2. There are a lot of songs that went missing (with very good pianos) 😢
Great video! Definitely gotta make a part 2 for some of the other songs in the halo infinite ost. Also check out the halo infinite multiplayer ost
Don't mind me, just patiently waiting for the Elden Ring p2 video🙂
you should definitely listen to Halo Spartan Assault, tho the game was for mobile then brough to pc, its Soundtrack is very underappreciated and very awesome too
This needs a part 2
@@Nitrinoxus District 9 & the Landfall trailer are an small glimpse at what could have been.
@MannerdDesert7 Did they ever share why the project was scrapped? If it was in the works while _Halo 3_ was being developed, it would've been _before_ Microsoft started poisoning the well, so it feels like it would've gone over well with the fans.
@@NitrinoxusDon't think it had anything to do with Microsoft, it was most likely just production issues, they might not have been able to get the funding to do the film to the scale they wanted which may have been why they eventually did a tv show.
ooo this is a surprise but a welcome one.
I find it criminal that "Echarum" wasnt included. That song its a freaking War Band For the Banished.
You NEED to hear “Of Blood and Burden” from the multiplayer album.
Zeta Halo made me realize something, we need to get the Fable OST reacted to, ASAP
I definitely recommend giving the Halo 2 Anniversary soundtrack a listen. There are quite a few in there that are absolutely beautiful like Moon Over Mombasa, Impart (Similar to Impend), Genesong and Breaking the Covenant
Part 2 of this is needed, so is pretty much most of the Halo games OST's
I know I’ve already commented lol, seems a lot of others want a part 2 as well. Personally I’d recommend the following: We Do It Together, Know My Legend, Hunters Dance, The road, House of Reckoning, Never Tell Me The Odds and Adjutant Resolution
need a part 2? def tons of good tracks missed
What? don't skip Halo 5, You have to listen this Halo 5 tracks: Canticles, Blue Team, Crypt, Cavalier, The Trials and finishing with My favorite: Jameson Locke.
We need another video reacting to the Post Rock OST from Infinite multiplayer, it's a blessed gem!!!
You should definitely do a play through of the original trilogy. I think you’ll be in for a treat
If this is (almost) the end of the halo run, maybe look to the Ace Combat games next. Ace Combat 6 and 7 have some orchestral epics that you'd love.
Not only halo infinite's campaign ost is good but the multiplayer ost is great! I wish you'd make a video on the multiplayer ost!
Endless and A message are beautiful pieces
The drumless version of through the trees slaps
Halo 5 lacked in story but the sound track was still very good, definitely worth checking out there are some absolute bangers in there
The Halo 5 soundtrack sounds like the orchestra is being held at gunpoint most of the time, but there’s some good songs in there.
Just to start you off, react to Unsung War from Ace Combat 5
There's also some piano tracks too playing the motif of Unsung War, tracks like 15 Years Ago and Into the Dusk
Ramson Keep is missing, so as the road, please part 2 😢
cant believe i havent seen The Tower mentioned anywhere either! Part 2 for sure!
@jerkwaterjoe need the track 'spire' too
Definitely need a part 2 to halo infinites ost, if you think this is your favourite so far, I believe the best of infinites music is yet to come for you
"Get 'em, Chief!"
-some UNSC marine in the game
Man, "Set a Fire in Your Heart" (and "Know My Legend") would have made such good multiplayer menu music. Instead we got the royalty-free-TH-cam-outro metal stuff.
Halo 5 is more of a spin off than a "sequel"
I personally still find it alright
Hopefully you give the soundtrack a listen though!
(2. Light is Green, 21. Covenant Prayers, 29. Blue Team, 34. The Trials and 35. Jameson Locke are some of my highlights)
Halo 5 has some good music.
It has a wildly varied quality in other aspects but its music is pretty solid.
This track seems heavily inspired by the 1st Halo soundtrack.
I do hope you make time to go back to Halo 5: Guardians. It may be the least-loved of the series, but its OST was outstanding and it did brave things with narrative PoV that bridges both the visual and aural art.
We NEED part 2 with action tracks
Halo 5 blue team and green light it’s really good
You should check Halo 5's music. Halo 5 was really underrated because of the controversy with the campaign and the multiplayer. The music was solid.
aaaa I sadly had to ruin the like count from 117 to 118.
ALSO I hope you see this cuz I have an excellent suggestion: The OST for FrostPunk
Halo Infinite is underappreciated. Also applies to its music.
Do The legend of Spyro a new beginning credits with choir!
