    Pro activity to me means setting your self up for success in any situation no matter the outcome by preparing and planning and doing important things/things that you may not want to do or are hard first so you have an understanding and experience with anything life throws at you and can react confidently and with a clear head to shift the outcome in your favor

    Wow, I’m so grateful that I was able to find this video. I always knew I wasn’t a proactive person and I was a reactive person, but I never knew that to be reactive also meant over reacting or even breaking down from a simple criticism or mistake. Now I know, and understand that a lot of my mental health issues can be solved if I work hard to become a proactive person and remind myself every single day that this will make me happier. Thank you so much for this video; it really did help.❤

    This is a better video than most of what is out there. Being proactive is not a synonym for "being a go getter" or superhumanly motivated. It means taking control of your responses and decisions.

    • @JoinMrSmart

      Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you found the video insightful. You're absolutely right, being proactive is about taking control of your responses and decisions, which can have a profound impact on our overall effectiveness and well-being. If you have any more thoughts or questions, feel free to share!

    A proactive person realises the power of choices. He doesnot react to circumstances . Rather he takes charge of his life. He is driven by his personal values. . A reactive person feels victimised, blames others and is influenced by external factors like people circumstances etc. His life is driven by external factors. Thanks for the video

    • @JoinMrSmart
      @JoinMrSmart  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your insightful comment! You've summarized the key points beautifully. A proactive person recognizes the power of their choices, takes charge of their life, and is guided by their personal values. On the other hand, a reactive person tends to feel like a victim, blames external factors, and allows circumstances to control their life. Your understanding aligns well with the video's message. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

    Proactive - make the first move. Don't wait for the ideal conditions that may never arrive. Make a start.
    Life is mine. It's my choice to do what i want with the time i have. Make an attempt. Even though i may fail, i should try. If i don't I will regret it forever.

    • @JoinMrSmart
      @JoinMrSmart  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely, your understanding is spot on! Being proactive is all about taking the initiative and making things happen, regardless of the circumstances. Life is indeed a precious gift, and the power to shape it lies in our choices and actions. It's better to make an attempt and possibly fail than to never try at all and regret missed opportunities. Embrace the philosophy of seizing the moment and embracing challenges. Your perspective is truly inspiring!

    Practice means instead of worrying about what "should" have happened in a given unideal situation, or what someone "should" have done (aka spinning my wheels), I take the blame where due, take the steps starting with the first to fix it, and take a second to learn from the situation to be better in the future

    For me, I think that the proactive people are the ones who are the solution to an issue instead of being the problem themselves. The proactive people also take the responsibility of whatever the result/consequences will be of their reply to something cause they know that they have the freedom to choose. The emotions of proactive people are off. especially anger or sorrow. They are never hopeless about anything cause they know that everything can be solved if next time they put more effort in their work.

      @JoinMrSmart  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I believe that being proactive has to do with keeping urself accountable. Setting a goal or intention for a short period of time and sticking to it. (When I finish work I will go the to the gym). If I don’t go to the gym I will have failed the goal and lost self respect. Proactivity is about respecting urself and sticking to ur goals

    My hubby has been really frustrated that whenever I am struggling I always seem to frame it as because he doesn't do enough with the kids or around the house, ot make enough money to avoid financial stress. I've thought it was because I was just emotionally dependant, because of faults in my upbringing-ive been just stuck there for years. It's the circumstances' fault and they aren't changing so...stuck. here lies the key. I DO have influence

    Taking control of actions,responses, behaviour and decisions.
    Our response depends much on our internal values.
    Reactive means giving your control to someone else.
    Your success is much dependent on reacting to the situation or responding to the situation.
    Being proactive means you are using your prefrontal cortex, being reactive means you are using your limbic system.
    Responsibility means your ability to choose your response.
    Acknowledge correct and learn from mistakes.

    Proactive vs reactive to me. Reactive is someone who lets situations such as the weather, emotions and situations take control of them. They react and they let these things effect them and take it at face value. If the weather is bad a reactive person would say I’m going to skip my run because the weather is bad. A proactive person would see this situation. Realised that the weather is an issue but not change the outcome and still go for a run. This is because a proactive person sets themselves goals and doesn’t let changes effect them aims.

    My way of becoming more proactive:
    1. Draw my circle of influence and circle of concern. It takes about 10 minutes and can be updated as often as every week or two. If I doubt whether something is in my circle of influence or in my circle of concern, I place it into my circle of concern, until I feel secure tackling this particular problem
    2. Accept my circle of concern. It is the way it is, for now, and excessively worrying about it won't help
    3. Set up and reach goals for problems in my circle of concern. Start with micro goals, build up trust in myself, then go on to the bigger goals
    4. Repeat this process, being proactive requires constant updates

    For me proactive means self control. If you able to contron your own emotions, behavior, actions against the all type of situation and act which is suitable, then you are a proactive person. Only then you can do your work and will not forget to fuel your car.

    1.Proactive means a person who is driven by values not feelings and his behaviour is impacted by his reponses not by external circumstances and feelings that means he take responsibility for his life and his actions.
    2.A reactive person gets affected by external circumstances and by other people's behaviour they blame other people or circumstances for their own behaviour that shows they don't take responsibility for their own life as if they don't have the freedom to choose their response to the situations.

    Pro-active, could be the opposite of "anti-active". Rather than sitting idly doing nothing, get up and do something! Just starting the task that you think you should do, and that is a great first step. You don't need to have it all figured out to at least begin the process. As you get moving, doing, and accomplishing little things, the next steps tend to reveal themselves. It's a habit of constantly doing something small and productive that adds up over time, and eventually you take a step back and look at what you've accomplished, and it looks like one great feat.

    I liked the video , it just reminded me of the power I have to choose in any situation.
    I can choose to be a victim or decide that the toxic environment will not define who I am.
    I think proactive people look at the situation and decide so do something.
    I love the example about the executive who elected to understand the Boss and compensated ! That’s an interesting way to address things.
    Complaining versus competent Atong. Never thought of that before .
