Great video. The first time I heard Son House play this was on a Vanguard double album set called "Blues at Newport." (This would have been in the early-to-mid 70s.) The hair stood up on my arms and the back of my neck and I was awestruck. It still does that to this day. It's one of the first slide pieces I tried learning and it did take a while to get it and learn how to do that snapping of the sixth string. There was a friend of mine who called the snap and strum technique "the Boing Squaff" riff. Thanks again for the video.

Just back home after a great blues weekend at Upton and I must say these Guys[ The Washboard Resonators] are my top memory of the weekend, for having the combined musical timing talent and tap dancing. If you want to be entertained you need to go see these guys, at Upton they performed in a Church and that’s the first standing ovation I’ve seen in a Church 👏🏻.well done and hope to see you both again soon.

What slide for beginner resonator please
We have videos on slide choice. You need to experiment to find the one that works for you. Start with steel / brass but make sure it fits.

What a load of bollocks . Death letter blues was by Blind Willie about his falsely accused friend. Not sure what this guy or Son House are about here. Some descent parts here and there. But no blues historian as claimed
