@@OTWD You're welcome. I've a basket like that here in Scotland, though not as well built as yours, I've been using it for about ten years. It's a handy piece of kit.
Great vid Dan - I've been umming and ahhing over getting a camp braai for ages, so your recommendation is all I need. Will purchase one ASAP. Keep up the good work mate
Hi Dan from 🇨🇦. Nice to see the evolution from your first video. I have the snowpeak tool set but found and extra set of tongs makes it easier to play with 🔥. Have and metal tin with a lid also let's you save your charcoal when your done for your cooking the next days cooking🏕️👍
Hi Gearhead, glad this video reached you on the other side of the world 😀 Thanks for acknowledging the evolution, its been a fun journey and a lot of learning. Thanks for watchin. I've considered buying the Snow Peak Fire Tools for ages, just for the fire tongs. One day..one day... It's funny you mention reheating charcoal - I have a video about it being published in a couple of hours. I usually do a a different method though🛁. Cheers mate
Another top video Dan. You convinced us how great the Snow Peak fire pit is (4 weeks into owning ours and loving it), and now I sense we’re going to have to nag OzBraai to confirm if they do UK 🇬🇧 delivery 😂 Hope the family are all doing well
Thanks Lea, Matt, Robyn and Will! Is Snow Peak gear readily available over there? Hopefully you guys are starting some epic and memorable family adventures. Thanks for watching guys it warms my heart that I'm connecting with you on the other half of the globe.
Hi Dan, was looking at getting the Oz Braai but wasn’t quite sure. You have made my mind up. I need one of these in my camping kit. Really glad I found your TH-cam channel. Keep up the good work. How do find the knifes they make? Looking at getting a couple of them as well.
Hi Tony, happy to have helped helped your decision - it's a great bit of kit. Glad you found the channel and glad you are here mate - Thanks for the encouragement! I have a similar 'Serbian cleaver knife' in my camp kitchen (same type as the big Oz Braai knife) and I really like it - but no hands on experience with the Oz Braai knives. If my current one dies I will probably look at their knives. Cheers😬
Hi Ian, Apologies for the delay. The Oz Braai is a cornerstone in my camping kit, hope you enjoy it too. I have the smaller of the two Bedourie options - the 10". Will make a review video about the Bedourie sometime soon 😬 Thanks for the encouragement. Glad you found the channel!
Hi Dan, great Vid! I hope you make your 1000 subs by years end! I’ve been “humming and Harring” To purchase on of these for ages. Question if I may, does the stand for the camp braai fit onto the fire pit? I wonder as it would give more height adjustment and allow for slow open fire roasting/cooking (possibly). Thanks AB.
Hey Andrew! Thanks for the encouragement, I reckon I'm on a path. Its funny you should ask that question - Ive tried it as is, it can sit there but its a bit unstable - Jason who gave me the tip about the seasoning, who is more handy than I, rigged up his own support structure that allows it to sit up right at an angle to the firepit. I'm in the process of doing the same - and will share when done. Apart from temp control this also can stop flare ups! Its another dimension of versatility. Will keep you posted!
Yummers. Nice one, I want to cook stuff like that while camping but one thing I can't get over is handling greasy stuff (e.g. rubbing herbs into meat) without a lot of water around to wash my hands after. Would be interested to know how you deal with all things water when you're out there
Paper towels save a lot of water when cleaning cooking gear. Warm up your pots then wipe them out gets rid of 90% of the grime. Wet wipes are great too!
I use paper towel and agree with Jason below. I also think having a tap integrated on a jerry can makes water much more accessible. When I film the cooking videos I use as few dishes as possible throughout, and often wipe them down immediately rather than washing, then I do one big washup at the end.
Hey mate - its a Pelican 1600 Case, got it in a military auction online. Made a playlist of videos building the kitchen up - th-cam.com/play/PLbsxMtsFmUbrsvZC0aPyCkvG0GtV-oQ4l.html Thanks for watching :D
Thanks Dan. Love your relaxed style. Keep them coming.
Thanks for watching Martin! Glad you like my goofy relaxed style. I'm just getting started :)
Great review. YT suggested this channel and I've subscribed as I enjoyed this so much. Thanks.
What an uplifting comment! Thanks so much for watching. It's great to have you onboard.

Another cracking video .
Thank you David! Uplifting feedback!
As a South African I approve this video LOL. The best thing a grid is used for is the boerawors, saves you lots of headaches lol.
I'm glad it didn't offend, Thanks for watching mate! Boerawors on the to do list! I wouldnt wanna be flipping it on a grill....
@@OTWD not offensive at all, just not the whole experience
@@wmtarr886 Thanks, just trying to give MY experience. No claim to anything else.
Braai Vleis....I remember that word a lot living in Rhodesia and S.A as a kid.
Hopefully only good memories were surfaced! Is Vleis a specific type of grill meat? Thanks for watching!
@@OTWD I think its Afrikaans for meat...I left in 84 so I'm sure someone else knows. I know we ate lots of Boer Vorst. Great channel you have btw.

Great vid mate. The camp braai is one of the most versatile pieces of camp kit I own. How good are the Braai seasoned chops?!!! My kids love them. 😁
Thanks Jase! Email incoming soon :D Yep, braai seasoning is awesome.
Also forgot to say- Yep the chops were a hit that night :D

Can the basket be hung vertically on the Travel Braai or is the vertical cooking feature found only on the Camp Braai?
Not sure. I see the frame doesn't share the hooks like the Camp Braai. Best check with their customer service.👍
keep it up Dan
Will do, Chris! Thanks
Awesome vid
What plastic storage case is that?
