Well, this took a turn! I filmed this video in Summer 2023 and when I was editing it, I realised I sounded just like a salesperson for Madkon. I show this to everyone who comes camping with me and most of my friends have bought one since.
I am not monetised on TH-cam and I don't take any income or free gifts on this channel. I started ChefCampers.com 8 years ago, just to try an encourage people to enjoy cooking and van travel, my Nan is accountable for 90% of our views. We decided to take a chance and import MadKons directly from South Africa, you can purchase them from our Webshop or send me an email to Michael@Chefcampers.com
I really appreciate all the support we get from Facebook, Instagram and TH-cam, i read every comment and try to reply to everyone too. I hope to see you around my campfire sometime!

Great to meet you both, you are an inspiration and your energy is uplifting and refreshing.🚐😎🧔♀️
I own the Amobox braai and the mini braai. The mini braai i use in West Africa. I have left the minibraai dirty on the balcony next to to ocean for 6 months exposed to the weather. Zero rust. Do yourself a favor on the ammobox braai. Buy the high lid, rotisery and motor. Great for roasts and baking. Buy the bottom plate which secures ambers and fat drippings. They all fit into one ammobox. Just note its not light weight. Its heavey duty brushed stainless steal. Built to pass down to the grand kids. Its expensive, but you buy it once and pass it down.
Thanks for this! It’s great to know. I’ve actually started selling these on my webshop now for the reasons you share, they are built to last. I’m getting myself the 600 next 😊
Wow, looking forward to part 2…and where was you glass of wine 🍷😆
Don't worry, I make up for it in part 2😂
@@ChefCampers phew! 😆😉🍷
Rude…. Hahahaha…..😂😂 (of course I’m watching….) No1. Fan 🎉🎉🎉
Haha!
Looks like a good bit of kit. Look forward to seeing it in use for cooking and as a fire pit in Part 2! PS Can you use Dutch ovens with it?
I genuinely love it Phil. You can place anything on it, dutch ovens, case iron pans etc. Sometimes i put them directly in it, or place them on the cooking grill, which I lower or raise, to control the heat. The key bit is that when you put them on the bottom rack you get a nice windbreak around it too, rather than it hang and be blown by the wind, which cools it down. New video will be out soon! I've just been busy setting up the web shop for them! It took me by surprise selling these haha!
@@ChefCampers Cool. Look forward to the next vid. I have a Cobb already but sometimes its nice to cook on an open BBQ with flames and the dual use as a firepit sounds spot on
@@pajefferies exactly why I bought it originally. I now use cobb and Madkon together. Then when I'm finished, but some wood on the Madkon and have a campfire all night. South African Power Couple!
@@ChefCampers does the Madkon work with a motorised spit for meat joints? If so which one fits the BBQ?
@@pajefferies it does. There's a silent one that fits perfectly that I will be ordering in on the next batch. There's a lot of add on features, including an oven enclosure. I am going to test them all first, so if they work well, they will become available.
